Was charged fir some vitamins I did not approve of. Still have half a bottle of the old ones. That I stopped taking, because they don't work. Cannotget my money back for some reason. Even though I refused and returned to sender. Don't recommend this company. Just by your vitamins at Walmart or Walgreens.Swanson Health Products, Inc.

FALSE ADVERTISING. There is NO free shipping. They add a service charge to EVERY order no matter what you order regardless of weight or size. If you send an email complaining about this practice they do NOT respond. They also do NOT care whatsoever about the environment. Commercial harvesting of Krill for use in Krill Oil supplements threatens species that consume it for food, including whales. All krill oil sold in nutritional supplements is harvested out of the open ocean, upsetting the natural balance of food supplies for larger marine animals. Swanson is engaging in false advertising. All over their catalogs and website they post "Free Standard Shipping On Orders $50+". This has been their policy since I started ordering from them in the early 1990's. I almost always ordered over $50 and avoided shipping charges, though they were only $3.99 flat rate, then later bumped up to $5.99. There was always excellent service and communication with the company. But in 2016 the Swanson family sold out to a private equity firm, and everything from there went downhill. It's now all about money, rather than a reasonable profit and good service. Starting during the Covid pandemic the new company added an additional shipping charge during checkout, while still advertising "free" shipping. On the checkout page, this new charge is still listed under "shipping". So there is a shipping charge on orders over $50. Their explanation, I am assuming, is that they are calling it "standard" free shipping in their ads, while if you look further on their checkout page they call their added charges "overweight shipping". This is just plain false advertising, and should be considered illegal. I've tried placing small orders, but they still place an "overweight" charge on it. My last order of approx. $700 had a shipping charge of over $22! We're all suffering from inflation and higher delivery costs, but it would be nice if these corporations with their tax breaks would share some of the pain. Especially for elderly retirees on fixed incomes that are just trying to stay healthy. If Swanson continues this policy, I will file an official complaint with the BBB that they will have to answer to. And, how does Swanson get and A+ rating with an average of two out of five stars on this website? Of course we only come here to complain.Swanson Health Products, Inc.

However, if the package(s) are overweight or oversized (bulky), additional fees *** apply. Instead of the respondent providing a flippant response, I would suggest that Swansons hire someone capable of doing due diligence as to their product and the reason for the complaint. With a minimum of effort, the employee could review the purchase history and see that this is the same exact product that we have used for 10 years or more. And yes, I read the labels for the content and the niacin was an ingredient that I wanted, have used, and have never had any problem ever. I was alerting Swansons that this pill has changed in color from a light tan to almost yellow and causes severe side effects. The pills were new lot numbers, and many other people have experienced the same side effects. When a product appears to be defective or dangerous, a company should take the notice seriously instead of hiring a respondent to provide condescending comments. Swansons provided a refund of this one item to my account , but did not provide a refund to my wife's account for her purchase (another inaccuracy on their part).Swanson Health Products, Inc.

Swansons has a very dangerous vitamin that causes severe allergic reactions. Their website has a number of reviews complaining of the problem, all of which were posted after I started using this product. I have used Swanson for many supplement needs, but when this product caused serious allergic reactions, I contacted customer service to alert them as to the ingredient changes causing potentially dangerous situations. They absolutely did not care. If you can't trust them on one product defect, how can you trust them with anything? Evidently, they must be using the lowest cost chinese suppliers who use unknown substances.Swanson Health Products, Inc.

I had the opportunity to listen in on the call between **** and our agent, and I understand that the product **** mentioned contains Niacin. The label clearly warns about temporary skin flushing, tingling, and itching, especially when taken on an empty stomach. Although this reaction is natural and harmless, I apologize for the discomfort that **** and his wife experienced. As a gesture of goodwill, I will be returning the full amount of their payments to the original payment source they used. In the future, I would advise them to carefully read the labels to prevent such reactions. I do hope they are both feeling much better and apologize for the inconvenience.Review fromJames D S

I have canceled a order that they approved and have been told numerous different stories about my refund. I have yet to get my refund from this company. I have contacted my bank and they say it's still pending on there end. I have called numerous times and always get a different excuse and story. They have literally taken my money and not given me a refund. Been 2 weeks now and no one helps me fix this Matter. I will never buy anything from this company again. I hope that 31.50 is worth it. So I loose money and they keep it they literally dont care about there customers. I'm tired of trying to get help so I'm posting this here so maybe someone will help me. So disconcerting to see some of these reviews. I was so excited to find a liquid vitamin C that sounded like it would be the answer to my problems. For whatever reason, I cannot seem to swallow pills anymore. I placed my order on September 18 and have not received any communication or my package. Today I searched google for the lowest price on a specific item that I wanted to buy 8 of. Swanson had the lowest price on sale 30% off for $9. I signed up and added the items to my cart, it showed they were on sale for 9$. I followed the screens to pay and ON THE LAST SCREEN it changed the price of each item to $13. I tried it repeatedly, closed the browser, and came back, tried a different browser, every time on the last screen it changed the price to a much higher price. So I called, and I waited, and finally, after a long wait I gave the answering system my phone number so they could call me, it prompted me to do this. It's been two hours now, no response. So they have a chat feature, and I tried it. They answered right away and the rep tried to help me, but even though I explained the issue to him over and over again, he couldn't understand. Probably some offshore customer service with obviously poor training. So I went to Amazon, found the same item for an even lower price and it took me all of 3 minutes to purchase the item with free shipping.Swanson Health Products, Inc.

I apologize for the misunderstanding you experienced. On our website, the discount is shown at the time you select the item for your card. There is not an additional 30% at check out (that would be 60% off). The original price is listed in black with a line through it and the discounted price is in red next to it with the words YOU SAVED 30%. That is the discounted price, and it is the same price you will see when you get into your cart at the time of purchase.
