After losing my job and having group insurance for most of my entire work career, my wife and I began searching for a private insurance thru what we initially thought was the *************** Act website. We requested a callback and this insurance agent called ** back. We were allegedly offered an insurance with no deductible, 70% coverage and a $50 cash allowance for office visits. The health and prescription service was almost $400 monthly. Our first payment was in December 2022. The agent took our 1st payment over the phone, sent some stuff to sign quickly but didn't let ** read it and said he needed the payment right away. Once we began to go to the doctor's offices, we noticed that the insurance wasn't paying anything and would occasionally pay only $50. None of our lab work or tests were covered. I had to cancel doctor's ************ because the staff that would verify the insurance would tell me that it was not a health insurance, that it was a discount plan. I proceeded to call the member services number and they would tell me that I was misinformed and that the coverage was legit. I fortunately recorded this call as evidence. The EOB's started coming in the mail and nothing was covered except an occasional $50 payment. I had already paid almost $2000.00 in premiums and nothing was being covered except for the alleged "cash allowance" which they told me that it would only be for 3 office visits. I called again and the last rep I spoke to admitted that it was a "discount plan" that just negotiated the contract rates but that I was fully responsible in paying for the services. Who in their right mind would intentionally pay $400 month for a discount plan?! This was a deceitful business practice that took advantage of unsuspecting and desperate people like me and my family that desperately needed health insurance. Now I have thousands of dollars of unpaid medical bills and they refuse to make this right. These people need to be stopped!!!FirstEnroll

I have my bank statements which shows automatic deductions from your company, First Enroll, every month. Whether your company is an agent or not, your company is complicit with these fraudulent transactions.Review fromJames H.

It is obvious that this company has no moral ground for doing business. Look through the reviews and you will see that they are not well liked. Their only defense is that they are not the insurance company that scammed us, they are just the ones taking the money for them. I guess the company enjoys trying to defend their position. A good company would ensure that they are working with reputable companies also. I would love to hear a drug dealer explain to the court that they did not make the drugs, they are simply collecting money for them and there for should hold no responsibility for the crime.FirstEnroll

We are sorry you had some difficulties with your plan. As you stated, we are not an insurance company; nevertheless, we do note that you called us on March 23rd for an explanation of your benefits. Despite having this information, you continued with your plan until this month, where you allege that your agent did not fully explain the policy in November of 2022. We are unsure why you did not cancel the policy in March having had the benefits explained to you then. As for our reviews, you will note that we have far more positive reviews than negative. In fact, your negative review is sandwiched between two 5-star reviews. We are extremely selective about the companies that we allow on our platform and, as such, we accept only those that are the most reputable. We therefore urge you to be more cautions prior to engaging in libelous behavior.James H.

I would say it is a good thing that my review got between two 5 star ratings. Without those 2 reviews you would not be able to keep your 1.4 star rating. Not sure you understand the word libelous, the review is fact filled and opinion. No lies in it. And the reason for not cancelling that month, if you must know my personal business, I had purchased a couple policies and wanted to sort out everything and replace them prior to dropping everything. It took a month to get everything done correctly and then I cancelled.Review fromHarry B

I contacted FirstEnroll to discuss my current plan, which I was planning to upgrade, and they were very helpful. The lady who helped me was very accommodating. She took her time to explain everything- the why & how. She was not in a hurry, nor did not make me feel less important like my previous firm did to me in the past. I greatly appreciated the courtesy she showed me by spending a great deal of time and effort helping me find the perfect plan that fits my needs. A bunch of thanks!FirstEnroll

I spoke with First Enroll to get coverage for my son who was 26 and no longer on my health plan. They sold me Multi Plan coverage with *************************** I was told it covered hospital, Dr's and pharmacy. My son went to urgent care and we were told they aren't covered. Then he had pneumonia and I took him to ******* I got an EOB saying they dont cover hospital. This is a scam. They took my money for 1 year and I cancelled. They should be ashamed lying to people and letting them think they have coverage they di not.FirstEnroll

My husband acquired insurance through first enroll on April 11th 2023 and after doing my research April 12th ************************************************************************************************************************************************************* on the other end. I have spoken to my CC Company and will be filing a dispute against them for my full amount but its sad that these people are even allowed to do fraudulent business and get away with it. This has barely been 24hrs and they refuse to credit my CC in full!!!FirstEnroll

**************,First Enroll is a billing company. We do not sell insurance or anything else, so it is impossible that your husband acquired insurance through us. I am sure during the course of your extensive research you were able to surmise this fact. Upon review of your account, I do see that your cancellation request was processed yesterday and your refund was applied. Policy cancellations and refunds do take more than 24 hours to process as you might imagine, but your request was completed in a very timely manner. Please be mindful of what you post on the internet. Your accusations are false and slanderous and your lack of patience with this process, despite it being expedited on your behalf, is not appreciated. Do contact your CC company as they now hold your funds and any further misguided complaints should be addressed with them.Thank youReview fromRebecca B

Disturbed about the manner and ease this company and its employees are conducting business so callously with charm at first to sell fraudulent insurance policies broken promises of refunds if unsatisfied in 30 days.I spoke with this company about an insurance policy. I learned after purchasing it that it's a discount plan only., not an insurance policy. I was informed and it is in writing that premiums would be refunded if not fully satisfisfied. I was billed 2/22/23. Plan started in effect 2/23/23. I was charged for 2nd month of premiums 3/20/23; this is 27 days from 1st billing. I called 3/21/23 to cancel and request refund. The rep I spoke placed request and transfered me to another person named **** who attempted to upsell me another insurance plan that would be better for myself and family. I informed it was not convenient to discusse at the present time and I'd call another time. On 3/23/23, noting no refunding having been issued yet to my bank I called back, a rep said the insurance was canceled and a request for a refund had been placed. I said I noted it in my bank yet. She transferred me to Siana. She told me NO cancelation had been made since I was to cal back to **** a day and half before to discuss another insurance plan. I said that made no sense and had nothing to do with canceling the previous plan. I further added the rep said it was canceled. ***** stated the rep had no authority to cancel only persons as **** and herself. I told her didn't understand why it hadn't been canceled and to do it now and to refund. She denied refund. I attempted to explain calender days. The billing and start date, February is only 28 days..... Her math just did not add up the same as mine and she didn't seem to acknowledge there was a 30 day refund. "NO." I am well with in the time frame of the stated and written policy. I wanted to be refunded all monies. Please and thank you.I thought I buying insurance. It was after paying I got full disclosure- disc. PlanStacy M.

Extremely sketched out by my experience. Didn't see these reviews until AFTER I gave them my credit card info. Am in process of canceling, but the agent is forcing me to send a photo of my new insurance plan in order to cancel, which I do not feel comfortable with. Trying to find any other way to do so and cancel immediately. Am getting insurance through the ****** site to ensure this doesn't happen again.FirstEnroll
