On 9/2/24 I placed an order for a car window tint kit advertised to me on ********. It took over a month to receive the product despite multiple attempts to cancel the order for it taking so long. They kept telling me via some automated response that it was being made or on the way. When the tint finally arrived I decided to go ahead and try it. It looked terrible, nothing like the videos or pictures on their website look. Literally like a taped on floppy piece of cheap tint. Their website explicitly says 30 day money back guarantee. I sent them several emails asking for a refund, and finally started receiving responses. They refuse to allow me to return the product for a refund stating they dont accept opened product. How can a consumer know if they are happy with a product without opening it? They should not be allowed to claim money back guarantee on their website and in their advertisements. The product is back in its original box ready to go back to them should they want it back. Please help me with holding them accountable. Thank you.Initial Complaint

I emailed the company and texted them over their Instagram page on several complaints I had.1. I ordered tint from the company including a care kit and a life time warranty.2. I ordered every window in my car to be tinted to my specifications.3. Tint arrived. Never received my tint care kit. Never received my windshield. Rear window tint was cut 3 inches to short on the one side. Tint was 15 percent on every piece even though I didny have a single tint piece ordered to be 15 percent.4. Contacted the company. Company offered 50 percent money back. Texted back and said 50 percent for me only being able to use 20 percent of the tint was not reasonable and that I would send my entire kit back for a refund.5. No response. Texted them again. No response.Copy and pasted the texts into an email to them. Response. "We will forward this to the correct team"Since then I never got a response to the 8-10 email chains I have started after waiting a week or 2 in between the last email to give them plenty of time to reach out. On 9/22 I purchased $134 dollar instant tints for my car. Well 2 days later I sold the car and contacted Instatint to cancel my order. Well I got t a response back on 9/25 Saying that it was too late my order was in production. Problem is that it takes 2 to 3 weeks to be completed so how is it to late? I placed an order 8/29 for a Full Package ($149.99) and received a confirmation email the same day telling me that "Your order is on-route". On 9/9/24 I sent an email asking for an update because the tracking link they sent only directed me to their website. I didn't hear back. I sent another email on 9/10/24 asking again for an update. They replied apologizing and informed me that my order was still unfulfilled and that I can expect an update with shipping status. I still have not received this information. Their promised email never came. I'm filing this complaint to ask for assistance from the Better Business Bureau in receiving my refund from Instatints. Like others here, I ordered their product from an online ad and it never came. When questioned the company about it they gave be the run around for weeks and now months of them saying a refund is coming but it never has. This company is definitely a scam!! BEWARE!!
