I purchased some golf clubs from Patriot Golf on 9/19/23. Order #***** for $486.95. Their AD said that the purchase would be fully refunded if I was not happy. The clubs were shipped to me on 11/13/23 and I called them on 12/12/23 to say that I did not like the clubs and wanted a full refund. I spoke with ****** and he talked me into keeping the clubs and said that Patriot Golf would send me a $300 refund check. I agreed to this approach. Since then, I have now called Patriot Golf every month (10 calls now) and each time they apologize and say that a check is being entered into their system for the second Friday following the date of our call. The check never comes. Each time I call they profusely apologize and say they will take care of it right away on the next weekly check run, but they never do. Can you please help?!!! They have a record of each call because they tell me they see that I have called often. I talked to **** in January, 2024 and they were not able to reverse the charge because it had been over three months since I had made the *********** this point, I would like to get not only my $300 refund but the entire $486.95 they charged me because of how poorly they have treated me, stringing me along for almost a year now. I would be happy to send the clubs back to them - they are not used, only hit each club twice at a golf driving range and knew immediately that I didn't like them.Please, please, help! May 30 2024 Paid Patriot Golf $552.89 Promotion to try set of 4 clubs, keep one after returning 3 and Patriot would total refund.Tried to get total refund, but after talking with employee *** ****** I agreed to buy all 4 clubs for $120, with a refund to be issued to me for $378. This conversation was acknowledged in an email I have from *** on Aug 2nd 2024.Waited until Sept. 16th, 2024 to once again contact Patriot about unprocessed refund. After Sept. 16th, 2024 have called Patriots customer service weekly and also emailed employee/supervisor *** ****** on 2 occasions. Since first reaching out to Patriot Golf on Aug 2nd 2024, I have not had any response for the company concerning the refund they say they will be giving me. I have sent other emails on Aug 29th 2024 and Sept 30th 2024 and have had numerous phone conversations with their customer service department. The ******* assures me I will be getting an email "soon", which has never came, and I have had NO response to any of my emails. And now having received the response they have given BBB AND giving Patriot Golf additional 14 days since my email from BBB, I do not believe they are taking the steps to process my refund.

With this being the first time I've contact the BBB concerning a company's actions or in this case, inaction, and BBB being unsuccessful in your attempt on my behalf to have the company respond favorably, are there other kinds of arbitration available for me to investigate? I understand you can not offer me any legal advise, but being out of my depth with this, any information on a path available to me for the resolution of this claim would be a big help. I have come to terms that this may just have to be a life ****** (though an expensive one) on making sure I do my due diligence before jumping into future situations as this. But I will attempt for a little while longer to have them honor their business statement and refund policy.

I purchased some golf clubs with a 45 day return for full credit if I didn't want to keep them. They were not to my liking so requested to return for my credit. I have had several conversations with them...each time they offered something other than a refund. I finally agreed to a partial refund...that was back in Feb. 2024! Every time I call, I get assurances that the "check is in the mail" ha....just another scamBusiness Response

I purchased on 3-4-2024 and agreed to do a trial run with three hybrid golf clubs for a free driver in return. In order to do so I had to pay for the three hybrids and could return within 45 days for my money back but keep the driver free of charge. I received all clubs and two dozen golf ***** on 4-16-2024. I tested them and decided to return the hybrids. I returned them on 5-24-2024. In late July 2024 I called inquiring about my refund and notifying them of my change of address. Which I didnt think would be an issue considering I had been informed my refund would go to my method of payment. I was told refunds are issued on a schedule and it would be issued soon. I check back in my account after two weeks Still nothing. I call again and get another answer similar to my first call. This process is repeated again roughly every two weeks. Eventually I was told in August my refund will be issued on August 30. I did not receive a refund. In September I call back. I was now informed my address was never updated and the address they have on file is my old address. Which couldnt be possible considering each time I call they ask me to confirm it. This helper now informs me my refund will not go back to my card but will be a paper check. Which she claimed they were printing at that moment and would be mailed out by the next day at the latest. This was two weeks ago 9-11-2024. There have been no major holidays in this time frame and I still have not received my refund. No company takes this long to refund payment. 4 months for a refund is outrageous. I want my money back. This has been entirely too many hurdles to jump through to get proper support.Customer Answer

I answered an email for a deal with Patriot Golf. The deal was if I buy 3 golf clubs, I would get a driver free. I had 60 days to evaluate the clubs and if I was not satisfied, I could return them for a full refund. I ordered the clubs on May 28th. They immediately charged my credit card, although I believe it is illegal to charge for a product until it is shipped. In any case, they said it would be 2 to 3 weeks for them to arrive. They shipped on July 8th, one day less than 6 weeks. I played with the clubs for about 5 weeks or 37 days and decided I did not like them. So I contacted the company on August 14th to find out how to return them. I met with great resistance. They tried to sell me other clubs at a "discount" and tried to talk me into keeping the clubs. Finally, after a lot of pressure, they told me to keep the clubs and that they would give me a $250 plus tax credit. One week later, I called again about the credit and they said it would take 30 days to process the credit and to call back on September 14th. I called back on Sept. 16th and they said they were still working on it the credit. Next day I received an email that said they were a start-up company with limited resources, that my credit was in the system awaiting to be processed. It has been 35 days since I requested to return the clubs and get my money back. My requests seem to fall on deaf ears. This company is not honest or trustworthy. They do not stand behind their word. I would like any help you can provide to get the promised $250 plus tax back from them.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: It is 9/25 now and I have not received any refund or any response from the company other than that they are researching the issue and will resolve as soon as possible. This has gone on for two months since they said they would process my refund. I have called a number of times and they just say they are processing the refund. How long does it take to credit my credit card, or even to issue a refund check. It is just unacceptable. I will just continue calling them until I get my refund since I have no other recourse.

I originally called in for an offer of a free driver. The offer was pay and use the driver and 3 other clubs and if not copletely satisfied I could return the 3 other clubs for a full refund. They charged my card that day and shipped the clubs finally a couple weeks later. Clubs arrived and my daughter used them a few times and did not like the feel and they didnt seem to produce any better results than her current clubs. I contacted the return department per thier instructions to obtain a return authorization. The sales man ******(?) then attempted to sell me more clubs, etc etc and became rude when I just asked to return. I got the authorization and returnd the clubs. So far no refund has been issued. I am a veteran and hoped a veteran owned/operated business would be better at treating customers fairly and honestly. I have called and emailed and been told refunds process in a next accounting cycle consistent with other major club manufacturers.. No major club manufacturer has this policy.. It felt like buying a timeshare.. high pressure. should have known a good club and good company wouldn't have to offer a free driver and hi pressure sales if they actually had a competitive product. Like most major golf club manufacturers we do quote up to one billing cycle for credits on returns and cancelled custom orders and,despite the customer's claim to the contrary, the vast majority of credits by our company are issued well within this time frame. While it is true that we are not perfect and some have gone over that time and have resulted in complaints online to that effect, it should be noted that not only are these a small percentage of our overall business but that we also acknowledge our error and refund these customers immediately. It should also be noted that a high percentage of those that complain online about credits actually did receive their credit within the quoted time frame and complained because they felt the quoted timetable was unreasonable. As a case in point, this customer filed this complaint on August 28th, 26 days after the order was logged as back to warehouse. The refund was also processed on 8-28-24. This point of view that up to one billing cycle is too long for a refund is one we understand and can respect, but it should be noted that we are nonetheless proud that our return policy, including timetables for returns, are in line with companies in our field that are far more established with much bigger names and resources at their disposal.We apologize to the customer that such a misunderstanding occurred in this case and, as disappointed as we are to lose his business in this instance, we nonetheless respect and accept his decision fully.

I am rejecting this response because: I had to email and finally call to get the refund issued. They say their policy reflects major brands. It does not. They say a refund will be issued in an accounting cycle. Business accounting cycles are usually month to month. Not a revolving 30 days. The fact a refund was not processed the same time product return was received shows lack of customer service. The fact that the person who authorized the return offered me $300 immediately back to my card and keep them again shows they have the ability to process refunds in a timely manner. The reason there are so many of these complaints is simply they lack a good product and lack in customer service.
