NO WHERE does it specify in the website that the banking app ***** DOES NOT! work with a business acct. Only with a personal log in. Very confusing for the custoners and also bank associates. We spent 3 days trying to figure out why it doesn't work. Whoever the web master is that makes these websites is slightly challenged!!!

I visited the branch at *** Sterling Pl, Brooklyn, NY. This branch, where I have an account with, made racist comments and was unwilling to provide the service that I needed. The personnels lack professionalism and do not follow orthodox procedures for Withdraw Money with the help of a teller at a Bank Branch service. I left confused and frustrated with the lack of service and common practice.M&T Bank

Third time in a row M&T did not apply my electronic payment to my **** Account. Took several calls last time to resolve. Terrible accounting quality control for this to continue to occur. VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER! Beware!M&T Bank

This bank is terrible! I had People's Bank for many years and always happy with them and then they merged with M&T bank. Their phone service is terrible. I had a savings account as well as 2 checking accounts and not supposed to have any fees with my Savings account as long as I had a checking account and then one day I saw my checking account statement and they were charging me $7.50 a month for my checking account! I took all my money from my savings and moved it to my checking. I'm not having them take my money! If I want a savings account I will stuff my money in my mattress. I'm disgusted with this bank.M&T Bank

M&T Bank is absolutely the worst Financial Institution I have ever dealt with. My mortgage was transferred to them in November. I previously had a good mortgage company, but they transferred the mortgage to this bank against my wishes and I had no choice. M&T Bank has messed up every single transaction they have handled with me. The amounts they have given me have never been correct, and then they report that I am late to the Credit Bureau, even though I paid them what they told me was due. It has been an absolute nightmare. I wish I could change mortgage companies, but I have too good of a rate to refinance. I did not choose them, and I would warn anyone to avoid this company. I would give them a lower rating if there was lower than 1 star.M&T Bank

They responded with their canned text response. I called the number listed on their response, and no one there had any clue what I was talking about. The number they provided was just their main phone number, with no contact information, no person to speak with. They obviously do not care. Their response was just their way of satisfying the BBB response terms to keep their rating high. When I called, they repeatedly gave me the same false information that they had given before, which when I followed it, put me into default. I am convinced that they intentionally try to get people into default on their mortgages so they can charge late fees.Review fromBadran K

Worst bank to deal with.
Called fraud dept to unblock a ***** payment, after full verification she put me on hold for 40min them a new agent answered. I then had to verify again to then be transferred to fraud dept again to then be told I could not use my SSN to verify. When I asked for her name, she hung up the call.
I am overseas wasting phone minutes to deal with business, and I get this ****.
Ever since M&T took over it's all gone to ****. Once I get to US I'm closing my account.M&T Bank

DO NOT USE THIS BANK. I got an RV loan a year ago and have had nothing but problems. Unfortunately we got behind on the payments due to disability. The bank absolutely refused to work with us. The first time we called, we were told that we could go to the branch to put the amount on a credit card. Once I arrived at the local branch, I was told that they could not help me. I could only pay with cash or certified check. I was told I could make the payment by calling the main bank. I did this and was again told that I could not put the amount on a credit card. Then we were given an amount to pay and dates to make the payments at the local branch with cash. Again we were told that the amount was not correct and they refused to help us. We were finally given an amount to pay and was able to make the payment in cash at the local branch. However, without any warning, our trailer was taken a couple weeks later. This incurred more fees and also damage done to our trailer and belongings inside the trailer. I dealt personally with Mark L**** and Tom M****** in the recovery department. They are both extremely rude and refuse to help. They will consistently interrupt and not give you a chance to speak. The cash payment given to the local branch was $5000 but only $4000 was posted to my account. Since the cash was given to them is my word against theirs. Someone in that branch pocketed my money, but we are unable to prove it. Also, the payoff amount given to us by Tom M****** and Mark L**** is over $800 higher than the amount we actually owe. I added the monthly payment by the months behind and added the monthly late charge and came up with an amount over $800 less than what they insisted we pay, They are running a scam in that department and making money off their customers. I wouldn't be surprised if they are receiving kickbacks from the repossession companies. Stay far away from this bank. You will be ripped off!!M&T Bank

The most disgraceful dishonest bank I have ever dealt with. Had a home equity line of credit with a bank they acquired. Had our payments on hold for a period of time due to losing our entire business during COVID. When they took over they required pay in full for what we deferred. Once we paid that they then said there was a missed payment from over a year ago despite auto withdrawals. Have been to the bank 4 times put the supposed missing payment in our account. Told them to deduct the payment 4x!!!! They still have not taken the payment and then reported us the the credit bureau. They are dishonest and will do whatever it takes to screw their customers. I have good credit history never had any issues with any other ban I have ever dealt with.. they are scum!!! I plan on filing a complaint with the BBB and going to our state to report them. They have already been sued once by the state someone needs to do a deep dive and expose their fraudulent business practices.M&T Bank

1 starTech road, silver spring MD is the worst bank! Customer service is non-existent, the tellers are generally rude and ignore you. Ms.R***** doesn't know her job and Mr E***** is a patronizing fool. I find the policy of taking funds via onlIne Acct. Without the proper identification and then refusing to return the money because of out of date ID is ridiculous and wrong. Treating customers with respect and individuality is a must and the fall far far short in that arena. It is pathetic the length at which they would make a disabled individual go through just to enforce a policy that didn't stop them from taking my moneys. I am definitely taking my business to ******* *** or **** ** *******!!!!!!
