      they been closed my personel and business account without my knowledge. and i delay or return other service couldnt pay bc they closed account also no time frame makes me some negative credit report have in my credit report

      Horrible bank to deal with. Paid off loan on RV early on 10/7/24. Upon their receipt of my payoff, I was locked out of the app immediately. Have been trying to get them to send release of lien and title for 3 weeks. Talked with Jasmine twice (she denied speaking with me the first time). She gave me 2 different dates the release of lien and title were mailed. At first, she said they would come together. 2nd time she gave different date and said title was mailed separately. Spoke with a supposed manager, John, employee ID #*******. He could not confirm date mailed and claimed he could not email me copy of release of lien. Said he could only fax it. That makes no sense since fax method is completely unsecure. He said our account is closed (I assume he means paid off) but cannot send me a receipt. I am told to wait at least another week for documents in the mail. I informed him we are having problems with mail (getting ads but no other mail). Spoke with post office and they confirmed they have a serious problem with Memphis mail distribution center (our out of town mail is routed there). John would not tell me if they will resend ROL and title by different means after I wait until Nov 4. He also told me they were not technologically up to speed. Interesting since they have an app, can process your payments immediately, lock you out of app upon receipt of payoff. Will make sure I never do business with them again.

      My original bank transferred my mortgage to M & T out of 14 years never late or insufficient funds however this month I put in wrong account saw it wasnt taken out but returned for insufficient. I immediately put in right account called M& T they said no problem no charge I was relieved. However on 10 23 24 I received a letter dated 10 17 24 ( I paid and spoke to M & T on 10 16 24. I called on 10 25 24 and ask if they coukd waive fee but since it wasn't late and Belinda M. Saud it would have been better if it was late. I asked to speak to supervisor to see if they could assist. After waiting online Alyssas told me the same if it was late we coukd have waved it. I disappointed because no solution was offered to protect me in the future if this mishap was to happen. ( I am elderly women with a disability and if I was in hospital or died no solution). This bank has no heart I will be glad when I thru with M & T because I have never been late or had insufficient funds ( not now either). Smh

      This place does not even deserve one star somebody opened a fraudulent account under my name and these helpless people could not even direct me to the correct place to make a claim on top of being hung up on several times they kept shuffling me back and forth and I still have yet to report a claim great job M&T Bank

      I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with my recent experience with M&T Bank. I opened a checking account on their website on October 11th and set up a direct deposit for it. The first direct deposit was scheduled for October 16th.
      On October 16th, I received an email from M&T stating that my account had been closed, with no further explanation. I called customer service to inquire about this, but the agent was unable to provide any details and advised me to visit a branch for more information.
      I drove to the branch, where the bank clerks spent a considerable amount of time investigating my account but could not find any notes explaining why it had been closed. They promised to call me back with more information, but they never did.
      A week later, I called customer service again to follow up. The agent said she would check with the local branch but instead transferred me to the branch line, which promptly went to voicemail. The greeting stated that for expedited service, I should call the customer service line.
      This is by far the worst experience I have ever had with a bank. I urge you to consider carefully before opening an account with M&T Bank unless you are prepared to waste your time in an inexcusable manner.
      If anyone from M&T is reading this, please do not respond with the standard reply asking me to call the customer service line. I have already done so multiple times without resolution.

      Olney Branch is okay, but overall bank service is very poor. I can't get questions answered. It's hard to get them on the phone. I have been a business customer for 20 years. Things have gotten worse. I am going to move my accounts.

      There fraud department refused to let me make a payment to a site just because the site not on BBB so there opinion was scam. If customer wants to pay for something let them. Once they confirm they made the charge let go thru don't ******* judge them and still decline the transaction

      I put a block on my account from a company that was taking $300 a month out of my account. I canceled the service & as M&T to block them from getting my money. After the block M&T bank t told me that there is no guarantee that the block would work. To cancel with the company which I did. M&T told me I could get a new card or close the account. I had that money to pay IRS. I would like the bank to refund my $300 because it was their fault not mine. They won’t return my $300. I would like it refunded. What is the purpose of a block on your account if the bank let them take the money.

      RUN. RUN! If you get behind, they won't take your money! They will pressure you into taking a higher interest mortgage at 40 years to 'lower' your payment. They told me to skip two payments when I hit a hardship over one missed payment (I had never missed a payment in three years), and they said after the second payment was behind, they would wrap it interest-free to the end of the mortgage to have me current. THEY LIED! I'm being held hostage and threatened with foreclosure all because I listened to them. It's a scam! Run!

      Worst experience ever. They have locked me out of my loan account and app which was overpaid by $1350.49. After numerous calls over 6 weeks, the “check is in the mail” line rings hollow. They have supposedly sent to wrong address two times now. Call back on Tuesday is getting tiresome. Stay away!!
