I flew from *** to BEY with turkish airlines in May and July 2023- On both occasions my flight was delayed and I missed my connection. Although I called the airline the second time I flew to reschedule my second flight after it was delayed in *** they would not do so. I bought a secondary ticket so I can leave at the transit airport at a preferred time but they would not let me use it. They forced me to board a rescheduled ticket that I did not ask for, and asked to cancel. I am requesting compensation of $700 to pay for the ticket I could not use and the fees that were incurred.Customer Answer

On July 25,2023 we paid extra for seats on Turkish Airlines. Attached is a notice of payment and the seats that we booked. When we got our tickets we didn't get our seats that we payed for and when we asked why we were told we were moved because the plane was over booked. We were not issued a refund. Also the seats that we were given for our children were separated from us. Thus our children had to sit far away from us in an international flight that was over 10 hours long.Customer Answer

I took a flight with Turkish airlines on 5/14 with route (CAI - *** - ***). My suitcase was damaged, where it was pierced that part of it has no protection, where simply anything can penetrate through. I filed a complaint to the airlines on 5/19, and got a response on 5/29 (attached) claiming that piercing the suitcase is "cosmetic". I sent a response to them, and got a follow up on 6/20 that nothing will be done.The current piercing of the suitcase can pass anything to it. This also makes the piercing of the suitcase cover vulnerable to hook to anything during shipping/handling and create a larger opening, making the suitcase contents exposed. This is now a storage suitcase, not suitable for safe travel.I had just bought that suitcase few months before, and on the second trip to take it got that problem. My wife and I flew to ***** with Turkish Airlines, and our baggage was damaged. Some items in our bags were also damaged, and all of our bags were delayed for 2 days. We submitted a complaint and gave all of the necessary documents and pictures. Our refund was approved for around $230, and the portal that we used to submit our information claims that the payment has been executed. We have not received payment, and we have sent many messages about the issue. We also tried to call multiple times, and the customer service agents said that they do not have any information about Turkish Airlines. Turkish airlines flight was delayed by 70 minutes causing me to miss my connection flight. No accommodation was made which cost me alot of money while I was stranded at the airport. They would not help either because the flight was not on the same ticket? I took a turkish airlines flight# **** from ****** to ******. While I was traveling by business class (and had booked a business class ticket), the treatment offered was worse than economy class. The service hosts were rude and didn't offer any food even after asking repeatedly. I demand a refund of my ticket for $4500 since I had to go hungry and was really found in a difficult spot. On 7/23i arrived at ****** airports to fly flight #** from *** to IST. There was a discrepancy with the name on the ticket. The name on the ticket was off by the placement of one letter (which was a mistake made by ********************** airline). ********************** airline did not correct the name on the ticket for me to spite there policy stating they can and will change it in the airport within 24 hrs. Of flight for a fee of up to $**0. They instructed me that I could not board my flight & would have to call ********************** airline. So after an hour on the phone at the airport trying to resolve this matter so I could make my flight I was told there was nothing they could do, I would have to buy another ticket and they would not refund me the ticket I already paid for so I left. In the morning I called ********************** airline where they told me it would be 14 days to fix the discrepancy or I could pay $800. And they would fix it same day and book me another flight. I called both the airline and company the ticket was booked through as ********************** told me the booking company would have to make the correction, and the booking company seed it was ********************** that needs to make the correction. Finally ********************** told me it would be ********************************* I could buy another ticket. Now the $800 fee to change it same day isnt an option. They did not offer me a refund. They took advantage of me as the name change could have been made at the airport and is ********************** policy as published on their website. Instead under fraudulent pretense told me they would not help me, bumped me from his flight, sold my ticket to someone else for a premium ( my brother was on the same flight and he seed my seat was taken, did not offer me the *** mandatory compensation of 400% or $1550. for bumping me from the flight, tried to charge me $800 which is $500 over there stated maximum for having to make a name change within 24hrs of fight for one letter that ***Continued in supporting document***Initial Complaint

Hello. My wife and daughter encountered an issue with Turkish Airlines were they were not able to board the second flight in ******** (after a 7 hour layover) heading to ***** because my daughters passport was expiring later in the month (not valid within 6 months) which we were never made aware of and they were allowed to travel/board from *** to ******** on 5/5/23. They ended up staying overnight at **************** and returned back to the US on 5/7. It was a very difficult experience for both of them and for her family which was waiting for her back home. I tried reaching out to Turkish airlines multiple times and they did not offer any form of compensation. I understand my daughters passport should have been valid for at least six months at the time of travel, it is still Turkish Airlines responsibility to check passport expiration dates at the time of travel.Please help!Thank you,****Customer Answer

We were scheduled to fly fromHouston to ****** **** on 4/23/23. (Ticket number is *************). I had contacted Turkish Airlines to modify a flight since the flight schedule had changed and receivedan email notification. The automatic change feature didn't work since I had purchased the ticket through a third party travel agent in ****. Unfortunately, the travel agent had gone out of business and even thoughI called Turkish Airlines over 10 times they were not able to help change or cancel the flight. They asked me to create a feedback number online which I did. (********************)I even contacted the local sales office in ******* but they were unable to change the flight or refund us since thetickets were purchased in a differentcurrency. I'm not sure why the central sales office for Turkish airline couldn't change the flight.
