1 star***** L, son name ******* C We set an appointment with Mavis ****************, ** location, 8am Jan ***** We left 10:05 am. We had a trainee.Wondering why it was taking so long to install 4 tires. The front desk tech told us that he apologized for taking so long that we had a trainee. My son didn't pay all that money to have someone training. As we was leaving the technician ran out to give us the tires lock. What a birthday. When we arrived home, My passenger side rim center cover was popped open. The driver tires stems had nocap covers.I was informed to come back to have them replaced. Now I have to drive around 70 m iles round trp to get them. They needs to pay better attention to their customers ?? Train the trainee on their own time.Review fromJULIAN H

1 starI went to Brakes Plus for an oil change because their website advertised it for $29.99 and up. However, I ended up being charged $65, and to my surprise, the oil was never changed. I felt misled by their pricing and pressured into unnecessary upsells. When I finally refused to pay the full amount, the staffs demeanor shifted, and they became noticeably rude. As a battery technician, I know the job wasnt completed, and I even brought one of the associates to show them evidence that the oil change hadnt been performed. Instead of addressing my concerns, the manager responded with attitude and offered no resolution. This experience was unacceptable, and I expected much better service.Review fromKristine M

1 starScammers! I went here for a state inspection. I work in the automotive industry and had my dealership check the car over before getting the inspection, everything was good. Mavis proceeds to tell me that I failed the inspection due to my rear brakes needing to be replaced. This was false, I had looked at the car myself in the shop and the brakes are over the legal limit for state inspection. They refused to pass me unless I bought brakes with them. Absolutely not! I went somewhere else, and guess what? It passed!! These people have their jobs and livelihood threatened by Mavis as a corporation unless they sell you work, even work you don't need. I do NOT recommend going here unless you enjoy spending money you don't need to spend.Review fromAlisha S.

1 starThey scammed me. Had an appointment today @8am for a brake check and tire rotation. When the mechanic walked me in the shop to show me my brakes and rotors, he pointed out that my rear brakes were worn down significantly (they were) and he also stated that my rear rotors were extremely worn down to a thickness of 10.1mm. I told them that I would just get the brake pads replaced but then they warned me that if the rotors aren't going to be replaced also, that the new brakes would wear down very fast. So after hearing that, I agreed to getting the pads and rear rotors changed and that costed me over 600 dollars. They did not finish until 11:45am, so I was in there for almost 4 hours. When I got home and looked at the rotors and noticed they were the same thickness of my previous pair, I decided to do some research. The rear rotor thickness for my specific car model is supposed to be 10mm. So instead of getting just the new brake pads, I now have new rear rotors on my vehicle for no reason at all. Im out of over $600 and to make matters worse, I had to waste my time sitting in their shop all morning.Review fromMichael E

1 starI went to Mavis for new spark plugs and coil packs and was first told it would cost me $1100.00 and then the manager JIM said he would give me a manager discount which still cost me $650. After he put it in i was still getting the same misfire after I drove the car and the check engine light was flashing. I took it to Pep Boys and got a diagnostic and was told i need new spark plugs and coils still and i should get Mavis to do tge right thing. I brought it back to Mavis and was told I need a new mass airflow sensor and it would cost me $150 for just the sensor and he put new spark plugs in. I told Jim forget it and brought my own sensor from Auto Zone for $60 and had someone else put it in. I was still getting the same misfire. After getting in touch with Mavis corporate I was told a manager would contact me but never heard back from them yet. So I had my car towed to another shop. This shop told me a coil pack was bad and their was cheap spark plugs in it and it was causing a misfire. After he changed them my car now runs smoothly with no issues. My experience at Mavis has been the worse and I totally was scammed. This cost me over $1000 and missed days of Ubering that put me into hardship with rent for this month cause I used all my money. I am so upset and warn everyone to stay away from this place ! I am currently seeking an attorney to help resolve my injustice. My Mavis reference number is Reference: *******Review fromVictor M

1 starI want to make everyone aware of an extremely upsetting experience I had at ************/Mavis at *********************************************** I believed one of my good tires was switched out and I asked for confirmation that it was not. They provided video footage to show there was no wrong-doing. Then a mechanic emerged disrespecting me in front of the manager by singing a song with a vile and racist lyric, calling me a "lying n****r" in a passive-aggressive manner. It is one thing to be wrong which I can admit to, but it is another thing entirely to be called a liar with a racial epithet. This behavior is unacceptable, and I urge others to be cautious when visiting this location. No one should ever be treated this way!Review fromErica B

1 starOne star is too many. My experience with Mavis ************** was deeply frustrating and disappointing. Within 30 days of purchasing four new tires, two went flat. After hours of inspection, staff confirmed no leaks yet acknowledged the tires were losing air. Despite this, they refused to resolve the issue, citing manufacturer defects due to weather and policies. One employee even suggested, someone must be letting air out of the tires, an unprofessional and dismissive claim. The initial purchase was equally chaotic. I dropped my car off at 1:00 PM for a nail in my tire and an oil change, with assurances it would be ready by 5:00 PM. Thirty minutes later, they called to ask if I had taken my keys, which were later found in another caran alarming ************ 3:47 PM, I was told my tires were too dry-rotted (from 2018) to patch and offered replacement options. I agreed to purchase four new tires, including a managers promise of one free tire and a complimentary alignment. However, when I returned at 5:20 PM, my car was still on the lift, with employees chatting idly. They admitted they hadnt started the tire replacement, citing assumptions that I only needed one tire replaced or wouldnt mind waiting past 5:00 PM.These assumptions wasted over five hours of my time, causing me to miss important appointments. To compound matters, the promised free alignment was reduced to a $30 discount, with no acknowledgment of the significant inconvenience.Mavis ************** exemplifies poor service, disregard for customers time, and unfulfilled promises. I strongly urge others to avoid this location.Review fromMark D

1 starTerrible service. Quoted one price over phone and when I got there they wanted a lot more money for 4 new tires. Staff is absolutely horrible. Ladies are rude and unfriendly. They don’t want to work they just stand around on their phones. I was planning on buying not only 4 new tires but having brakes worked on too. Their staff couldn’t care less about the situation and just went right back on their phones before I even left the store. I would never do business with this company and will tell everyone I know to avoid it as well.
