1 starThey don't even deserve a star! Long story short, I went for a break, change and left with more issues. When I returned to have my brakes checked to be sure they were put on correctly, I was told I needed all new calipers which should not have been the case sonde mycar is only three years old unless the calipers were not retracted when putting on the pads. I then, I took my vehicle to a local privately owned mechanic to find out the pads were put on wrong, and my rear passenger brake was not even touching the rotor! My local mechanic stated that they have to repair damaged vehicles are from previously being worked on at Mavis.. I do not recommend even an oil change at Mavis sent. They are also known to add power steering fluid into where the oil goes and not putting lug nuts back on tires.Review fromPam P

1 starI called and got a quote. I made an appointment. I arrived on time( 10am)was told it would take two hours to put 4 new tires on. I returned at 3 pm. My car had not been touched. I spoke with a women who had a 1pm appointment for 4 new tires. Her car was ready at 3:30pm( 2 and a half hour wait) My car was not ready until after 4 pm. It took over 6 hours. Then they tried to charge me over $200 over the quote. I was quoted a total of $469 out the door. I finally got the manager to agree to $499. I feel robbed. I got there first and they let others go before me. Then they over charge me! Thieves!Review fromTiffany T

1 starI had an awful experience yesterday! I went in to the Mavis store in *************, ** to get an oil change done. Every time I've been there before, they've been super helpful and nice. I didn't have an appointment but they told me they could get me in immediately and it would only take a half hour. The guy at the front desk tried to charge me $101 for a basic oil change and I said no, you can take my car off the lift and I'll go somewhere else. I've NEVER been charged $101 for a basic oil change. I'm not stupid. I then double checked that they weren't going to put synthetic oil in and that I just wanted the regular cheap oil and they claimed that they didn't have it and couldn't put that in. Then the guy realized he was double charging me for multiple services and that's what put the price increase up. I told them ***** would pay is $60 for the oil change and the manager flipped out and got ******. The staff were rude and stood around on their phones for most of the time I was in there; the oil change ended up taking an hour and a half and then halfway through, they realized they were out of standard oil filters and had to get more delivered from another store! Just stupid! No common sense. Will never come here againReview fromBethany M

1 starI went to Mavis to get 2 new tires. When it was time to pay they said well take 10% off if you write a good review. I did but it was a total lie. They told me that on my specific type of car, a **** ****** Camry, the two new tires I bought should stay on the front of the car. That was a total lie. They just were lazy and didnt want to rotate the tires. Ill never go back to Mavis and neither should anyone else. Financial compensation for good reviews is wrong, and probably illegal. If I could give zero stars I would but you cant.Review fromCynthia P

recently I had very bad and inappropriate experience with NTB at Garner, Raleigh, NC location. my son who is 18 year old went there to check the Emission since it was required for inspection. they agreed to do the repair but they said we have to order the parts which will come tomorrow and can leave the van. unfortunately my son have signed the papers they have given for the bill 3,228.25.he has signed the papers 4- 5 PM time. i see the time in from NTB papers 4:14 PM. and the office closed at 6pm.and will open next morning at usual time at 8AM. when i came to know the bill it was after 6. i tried that evening and following morning to inform them not to do the work since it was quite expensive. but unfortunately after hours couldn't get the, so i drove to them following morning at 8 am, i was told they already opened to put back the stuff i have to pay back full labor cost for their time which is 1065.73. i have to ask them why I have to pay, when i ask the manager for that location to see the parts what they have removed , went in and came back no parts was removed but they have removed screws . so he came up with $507.00 to pay. i am sure they haven't done any repair day before. based on what i notice and changing the information i believe they just opened my VAN just that morning only which I end up paying $ 507 at 830AM for nothing. and we got the van back at 910AM. what they told me they worked on it for 4 hours to take out the screws, and put back the same screws it took half an hour which is looting the money from the customer for no reason with false information and inappropriately billed so many hours without spending much time on it . when van gave after 415 pm and I reached to them soon after they opened in 8AM where the 4 hours working time coming. it is just taking the advantage of a 18 year boy and looting the money. i wish they should pay back and not to do like this to any customerMavis Discount Tire

Thank you for contacting NTB regarding your son's recent visit. We appreciate his and your business and comments. We are sorry to read that you are not happy with the service. You son, who brought the vehicle in and is of age authorized the work so the technician removed the old parts and was ready to install the new ones. You declined to work post facto and the store only charged you a portion of the labor to reinstall the old parts so that the vehicle could be driven away. The partial labor that was charged was for the removal and reinstallation of the parts and is standard practice in the industry as the parts were removed and reinstalled. Thank you again for contacting NTB and best wishes.Review fromNiki G

1 starTo whom it may concern,On Friday the 2nd of June 2023 at approximately 4:20pm, I had my ****** Rav4 towed to Mavis in ********** ******* because it had a flat tire. Upon entering the store, I expressed my desire to the Mavis representative at the front desk to replace all four tires. While discussing this, we joked about how many people think that the price of the tires is the price they will pay after the service was completed. Because of this, I asked Mavis representative to give me an out the door price including taxes and all service fees. The Mavis representative stated that the final price would be $580 after the service was complete. I affirmed with the representative that I agree to the price for the product and service they offered, officially entering into a binding verbal contract in the ****************. The Mavis representative stated that the work would be completed and that I could pick up the vehicle as soon as 8am on Sat the 3rd of 2023. I arrived at Mavis at approximately 9:15am and was greeted by who I would later come to know as the manager of the Mavis location. The manager informed me that my vehicle was almost finished, and she began the checkout process. Upon checkout she stated that the total would come to a little over $650. This was a little alarming to me, and I relayed all the previous information in this statement to the manager. The manager was very unprofessional in this interaction and violated the contract that I made with the Mavis representative the previous day. The manager repeatedly refused to honor our contract and treat me with a demeaning manor. I then asked to speak with her manager, and she stated that that was not possible because he was in ******* for a week. At that point I asked for her managers contact information in which she handed me a sticky note with the customer ********************** number. The manager then handed me the keys to my vehicle. I returned to my vehicle only to find it reeking of the odor of marijuana.Review fromEstefany M

1 starI an extremely upset with my experience today. I took my car for a break inspection and change and left there with no working ** (** was working perfectly fine). One hour into the appointment they call me back to where my car was and told me that my ** would no longer work. They made some bogus excuses as to why it would no longer work but it makes absolutely no sense. Also the ** part that they took out was not placed back. They left it at a plastic bag in my passenger seat.
