      We bought 4 new truck tires on 7/30/2022. A week later we noticed one tire was low. Went back to Mavis 3 times to try get someone to look at the tire. We were told that the tire was defective and the the tear in the sidewall could not be fixed. They don't want to replace the tire because we didn't purchase a warranty. The manager said that the tires we purchased are cheap tires, and yet Mavis still sells an inferior product. This is a manufacturer's defect and they do not stand behind their product. NEVER use them.

      Yesterday I made a 10:30 AM appointment with Mavis Discount Tires on ************** in *******************, to get 4 tires which were "in stock".They told me it would be 20 minutes before they could get my car in and then <1-1/2 hours to do the job. OK.My car was still sitting in the parking lot at 11:15 AM. They didn't put the car in a bay for about an hour, and then it sat there with no one working on it until about 12:55 PM.They took the 4 tires off, 2 off the rims, and the counter guy says, with a chuckle, "I ordered the wrong size tires for your car, so I'm going to upgrade you for the same price." (originally quoted $800.27)I asked him at least 5 times what he was planning to put on my car. He was saying the name/model real fast and flipping his computer screen around, saying they were better and cost $194 a tire (originally quoted tires were $179 a tire). I tried to ****** the tire, but wasn't having any luck, so I asked him, "Exactly WHAT are you putting on my car. I want to ****** it and read reviews." I finally got it out of him.The tires he was going to put on my car were $104 at ******* and ******* and $114 at Mavis. I showed him my phone with the Mavis price up and asked is this what you're putting on my car? He said, "Yes, that's it!" I said it's $114 each and you want to charge me $800? He said, it's $194 on the store's system. Another counter guy came in and they tried to tag-team me. I told them, "That's a Cadillac (not that that is any big deal LOL). I'm not putting some **** tires on my car!" Second guy said, oh, no, this is a BETTER tire than what you were getting, and tire prices don't mean one tire is better than another, and these are the same as the others with 50K miles warranty. I said the ones I wanted were 75K miles. ****** line, I told them to put my tires back on the rims and back on my car, "We're all done." Mavis on ********* lost 2 loyal customers, me and my husband. 2-1/2 hours wasted.

      08/07/2022 sunday at 930 am at ********, ** , i was sitting in the lobby at mavis tire when awall mounted/hook tire fell off and hit me. it's on camera. i was only asked if i were ok, no medical or even ice was offered to me as my right arm/wrist and right thigh were hit. they said someone from corporate would contact me but the desk worker supposedly texted them. As of wednesday 08/10/2022 9:30 pm no call from mavis regional or corporation, the store had no ice packs or ice in their employee fridge. the incident was documented on my ****/work ordNo incident or injury forms either.

      Had the brakes done on my daughters ***** CRV at Mavis on *************** in ********** *******. They replaced the front rotors and pads. Shortly after installation her car started vibrating really bad every time she put on the brakes. We took the car back to Mavis on *************** in ********** ******* before the one-year warranty on the labor was up. They said they couldn't find anything wrong with the car. My daughter had to go back to school the next day, so we didn't have time to bring it in again. The car continued to vibrate every time she used the brakes. We later took the car back in and they said that the rotors were bad but they were under warranty. However, they said the installation warranty was up and we would have to pay $50 for each rotor to replace them. I argued that we had brought the car in before the installation warranty was up, and they did not fix the problem and that we should not have to pay for labor. I can't figure out if they are just stupid or dishonest. Finally after arguing with the store manger over and over again when we picked the car up, he said "Ok just take it" in a really nasty tone. I have been pretty pleased with the service at Mavis in the past, but they are under new management and these guys don't know how to treat a customer. I will never take any of my vehicles there again.

      The ************, ******** store was supposed to change all four brake rotors and all sets of brake pads on one of my autos. However in less than a year my daughter had to have it serviced in an emergency at another auto service company who indicated the front rotors were in very good shape but that the rear rotors looked too worn and rusted to have been changed in less than a year ago. This caused the brake pads on both wheels to become destroyed. After discussing this with the Manager of the store and willing to show the brake parts, the Manager dismissed my complaint. No alternative but to show the part was never changed and that this is a fraudulent situation. This company MAVIS has an F rating by the BBB. I have no doubt of that. I give it less than an F. I'm sure once we show the parts to the ********************** that they will help ** seek the correct justice in this case whether criminally or other.

      I had a gash in my front tire took it to Mavis had ,2 new tires place on the front with balancing and Allignment done and have had both Ng but problems can't go over 55 without the whole car shaking. Took it back and never had it resolved. DO NOT feel safe in the road

      We brought a truck in for tire rotation and alignment on 8/8, but nothing was done to the truck, which the guy at the counter admitted once my husband told him it was obvious. Then they didnt want to give a refund, after admitting they didnt do anything to the truck. They wasted 6 hours of our day, and finally gave a refund after first telling us we had to come back another day to get the charge taken off our card.

      The service I received at Mavis was terrible and I have had to have two repairs since the original break job was completed. Now they are not reimbursing me the full amount the new break job cost. I was told by the manager of the store I had the work done at, that when the first issue occurred with this break job, that I could bring it to any mechanic that I wanted to have it fixed. He even stated that he wouldnt want to bring it back to the shop that messed it up the first time. When I brought my car in to be looked at last week, as my local mechanic, I did not know what the problem was. After finding out that the breaks needed to be replaced, that is when I reached back out to Mavis for a second time. They have been very rude about assisting with this problem, when I just want to be compensated for the full repairs, but they will not pay the $500 difference. Not only was customer ********************** rude and unhelpful, so was the regional manager.

      I had scheduled to get 4 tires put on my vehicle that I had purchased from ****** and they recommended this company to do the work. It was scheduled for sat. 08/06/22. My husband had the tires off many times he had just replaced the struts, shocks, sway bar among other things. And no problems with the lugs. After the tires were installed they said it needed brakes my husband said he would be doing them and they said ok. We paid them also ****** for front end alignment. Next morning he went to take the tire off and they had cross threaded the lugs and it snapped 3 of the lug nut studs and one came loose but couldn't be tightened back. Called Mavis and was told to bad basically since my husband had touched the tire. He told them that if i had a flat i would have been stuck on the road and they said they could do nothing was not their fault. I told them did they not warranty their work and they said if we paid for a towing **** they would look at it but it would cost us the ***** plus labor for their ***** up. Please don't take your car there for any reason. I wrote ****** and told them I was surprised that they would recommend a place with a rating like that for their customers am waiting to hear back from them. My husband bought the studs and replaced them and put it back on and the tire no problems now he is worried about the 2 back tires but doesn't trust them to check them out due to how ***************** was to us when he called us back on Sunday morning. So now we are out even more money and will have to take the car to another shop to check the lugs on the back tires he already had done the other front brake and those lugs were not cross threaded. A terrible company with even worse customer ********************** to give a ********************** that people would recommend them. This is Mavis on *****************. ************** **. We are business owners here and if we did business like this we would have no company. We strive to keep our customers happy. Hope someone goes after them for this.
