1 starWow thank you to all you patients for their honest reviews .. I dont doubt what you say I do see how uncaring the health field has become. Its a shame bc mental health issues are on the rise more now than ever! . Made my choice easy Ill use that great program in ****** .. never thought Id have go outside of my country to seek better healthcare . Good luck to everyone that seeks helo. This company is a scam. Not only was my psychiatrist not helpful, but their billing process is quite literally fraudulent. During my first appointment, in addition to the appointment fee, I was charged an $102 for "psychotherapeutic techniques (like supportive psychotherapy, psychoeducation, or cognitive behavioral therapy)." Not only is it alarming this is considered to be an "extra" service from my psychiatrist but my doctor provided no such service. I've emailed customer service for notes from my doctor, but have not received a response. For my second appointment, my doctor told me she wasn't able to help me and abruptly left the call after 10 minutes. I was still charged for the full appointment time.Talkiatry

I had two appointments with a prescribing provider via the Talkiatry telehealth platform. The doctor made an error when he sent my prescription to the pharmacy. Over the next couple of weeks, he apparently changed his mind three times about this prescription, repeatedly submitting and cancelling different versions and directly contradicting what he told me during my appointments. He also failed to notify me about these changes in treatment plan. He blamed the pharmacy and insisted I switch, but 30 days after my appointment, after I had run out of meds and the second pharmacy was still waiting for info from Talkiatry, I gave up and went back to a local provider.I also have serious privacy concerns regarding Talkiatry. Messages I wrote to my doctor were read and answered by people I had never met, and instead of replying to me directly, he repeatedly ccd me on messages to Talkiatry staff, referring to me as patient or pt. Not a big deal, compared to possible HIPAA violations, but still a failure of common courtesy.Finally, this doctor asked his staff to have patient (me) make (and pay for) an additional office visit, due to the recent medication confusion. At the time I wondered if maybe Talkiatry was some kind of scam, but I think theyre just relying on a platform their providers are unfamiliar with and a staff who are woefully undertrained. I hope anyone reading this will be very careful about trusting their care to a Talkiatry provider.Talkiatry

Horrible process and experience. I used BetterHelp in the past and wanted to give this platform a shot.I had only an intro 45-minute session with a very uninterested Dr. who would not even look into the camera, which was a wide shot of his office... Sadly, it was decided that he could not help me and my situation in a remote environment. For nearly a month, there was no further contact from Talkiatry. Only until my insurance EOB arrived was I shocked. OVER $1K billed for a 45min Zoom-like session??? Wow, this is what is wrong with the healthcare system. Nowhere was I shown the pre-cost. This is such a ripoff, so do not use this service. ****** from Bililng just says: "Please reach out to your insurance provider if you need further clarification regarding your benefits. Thank you!"... such bull...Talkiatry

Talkiatry was awful. It really upset me after I met with the psychiatrist ***************************** She started off by interrogating me and quizzing me with her checklist. She would keep asking the same question in a diffent way to see if I was consistent. It was so obvious. This was an interview for her to decide if she would trash me or not. A straight up interrogation. She even accused me of not telling her information when the meeting was 15 minutes and she led the questions. I only needed antidepressants. But she decided I needed in person doctors and I was not worthy of Her help. But seriously from the first moment we talked she lacked any empathy for anything I said and didnt even Pretend to care. She simply continued like a lawyer would. I think maybe there is some issues she needs to work on as well lol. Dont be a psychiatrist if you dont like people and lack empathy.Talkiatry

After seeing one psychiatrist, they told me they "cannot provide me with the level of care I need right now" with no explanation.I have been seeing a psychiatrist remotely for 4 years, and wanted to switch to one that took my new insurance.The fact that they can suspend your care with no explanation is frankly frightening, especially when it comes to mental health. I can no longer trust this service to provide anyone the level of care they need.Talkiatry

Talkiatry is trying to charge me $430 for an online psychiatrist visit and all the guy did was tell me he wasn't going to treat me and put me on a list for another provider. They didn't find another provider on the platform (talkiatry.com). So now I am being billed $430 and still don't have a psychiatrist. I received no treatment. I've asked repeatedly to renegotiate this bill or to have it removed, only to receive yet another bill in my email. They are very misleading. I've never heard of a psychiatrist billing $430 for a visit. Especially when they decide not to treat you.Talkiatry

I waited weeks for an appointment with a provider to help with my anxiety after a recent cancer diagnosis. At my initial appointment, the first thing the provider told me was that they are leaving and would not be able to prescribe anything or follow up with me. I was told that a referral was put in for a new provider. Every time I reach out, I get a message that it can take up to 10 days, despite it being over 10 days already. My follow up appointment was cancelled and then I got an email to schedule a new appointment with the same provider that is leaving. **************** doesnt seem to understand or care how much I am suffering right now. I have no resolution and no information other than a wait time which has already passed.Talkiatry

Talkiatry is a dangerous business. They hire doctors who refuse to work with their patients. Doctor refused to help with a simple medication change even though there's dozens of equivalent acting medications. When I requested a switch they kept "CANCELLING" the transfer request. Finally my doctor found out about the transfer request and she DROPPED ME from being a patient. In the discharge letter they said 1) It's dangerous to suddenly stop your medication cold turkey 2) there are side effects to suddenly stopping that will worsen or exacerbate your condition 3) We will offer you refills / support for 1 month while you establish new care EXCEPT for #3 - THEY WONT REFILL THE ******* MEDICATION. so you've said "ITS DANGEROUS TO STOP YOUR MEDICATION" and refuse to refill it... so you clearly want withdrawal symptoms to be experienced by your patients. This company is a dog s*** company and will put you in danger the second you're no longer a model patient who is extremely easy to squeeze for their copayTalkiatry

I scheduled my first appointment with Talkiatry. I waited 2-3 weeks for the appointment and then connected today via the provided link. i was in the room waiting for ********************************************************** and said they needed to reschedule me because they could not verify my insurance benefits. seems like that could have been handled before or at the time of my appointment, not 25 minutes late.Talkiatry
