This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I have two insurances ********** and *************** Shield). They repeatedly submitted the invoices incorrectly and now are charging me for everything despite the fact that they accept my insurances. They don't know what they are doing and my amount due keeps increasing despite the fact that I haven't had a visit in months. AND, besides the amount for the session, they charge separately if the doctor gives any suggestions. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM OUT TO MAKE MONEY ANY WAY THEY CAN. STAY AWAY.Talkiatry

The psychiatrist I spoke to told me he thought I would be better off with a local psychiatrist and that Talkiatry had partnerships with psychiatrists all over the country, he assured me this would not be me being placed on some waiting list, I would be in with a physical psychiatrist in a few days. I was hugely skeptical, especially because I was running low on medication, but he promised me that if I didn't have an appointment in the next couple of days he would fill my antidepressants and see me again. The next day I got an email telling me I was no longer able to use Talkiatry as the psychiatrist determined they were unable to help me. I reached out to customer service three times, was promised a callback from a manager twice, never received it. When I received my bill, I called billing three times, one time I was hung up on, and the other two times I was promised a callback, which I never received. These people literally are playing games with the lives of people with mental health problems.Talkiatry

BEWARE! Talkiatry is a money making scam, NOT an ethical mental health provider. They have a 1.5 star rating on TrustPilot because they get complaints that mirror mine several times a month, every month. They engage in false advertising on their website stating that their services are covered by insurance and that the average cost per session is $30, which is laughable when you realize they charge around $300 PER ***** MIN TELEHEALTH SESSION. They fast track patients so that they can bill them as much as possible before patients realize their services are exorbitantly, unreasonably expensive and terminate their relationship with Talkiatry. They do NOT offer a consultation/new patient rate and will charge you/your insurance two separate billing items for the same session (both an office visit and the psychiatric care visit), each totaling $150. They WILL NOT provide you with an estimate prior to rendering services. They will not put out ANY effort to correct any billing issues, because they are in the business of taking your money and running PERIOD. When I raised billing issues with Talkiatry, they simply demeaned me by repeatedly sending pre-written explanations of how deductibles and patient responsibilities work (I very much know how these work). I knew that I had not met my deductible and thus would be paying some out of pocket expense to meet with a psychiatrist through Talkiatry. I did my due diligence by looking up the provider on my insurance's estimate tool and it was $75 for an initial visit and $40 for each follow up visit, reasonable. Due to personal circumstances, I was not a good fit for services with the provider I was set up with. So I met with my provider for two sessions (1 hr, 40 mins telehealth) and did not receive therapy nor medication management and was charged almost $600 out-of-pocket.Someone please look at these fraudster's advertising and financial practices!Talkiatry

This is not patient-centric care. I had issues with transferring my records from the onset - no one is reviewing your paperwork and following up to say, "you missed something." So I had two appointments that were a waste because my doctor didn't have access to my records. The customer service is in the style of a call-center so it's impossible to get a helpful person /decision-maker on the phone when something is urgent -- even when you elevate things to their "We Care" line.I think this could be dangerous for patients in distress. I was in distress when my regular psychiatrist was on maternity leave because I was really struggling with medication withdrawal. The person "filling in for her" made me re-do a whole intake, then at the end she didn't have access to my records, and then discharged me saying that Talkiatry isn't a fit for me and that I need "in-person care." While I agree that Talkiatry isn't a fit for me, I don't think the "in-person" aspect is the challenge, I just need an office that's prepared for inevitabilities, like their doctors going on maternity leave or patients forgetting to check a box.I escalated the situation and they referred me to another doctor who she said "might be a better fit" since I didn't love my original doctor. I wanted the new doctor to speak to my neurologist before prescribing any new medications. As it turns out, Talkiatry doctors don't have direct lines (even for other medical professionals) and it's been a month of phone tag with me acting as the go between. This is not patient-centric care and I think all of the business's shortcomings could be potentially harmful for patients in need.Talkiatry

I was happy with my doctor because she speaks Spanish and I have trusted her always. For more than two years, I have been taking the same medication until this year the medication stopped working and my nightmare started. I was not able to sleep and she prescribed me Trazodone, but this medication did not help. I tried to talk to her through the Hallow application 3 times, but It did not work. I was able to connect with my doctor before. I have two more appointments but these were canceled because the doctor had an emergency. Today I found out that I was discharged from Talkiatry by my doctor because I did not talk to her. I also had to call several times to Talkiatry because they charged me a no-show bill for $100 (it was waived finally). I also paid a bill (from the last time I saw my doctor in October) and they can not find the payment. I sent them the bill's receipt and they can not find it.I am very disappointed with their service, and I do not think they are not acting as a professional organizationTalkiatry

Stay away from Talkiatry . It is the worst scam mental health online company . You can never ever talk to a live person from their billing company which is likely outsource out of the country . I regret I recommended a patient to this service before I learned of the horrendous nightmare . Other mental health providers charge one code for Telehealth / virtual 20 min follow up visits and when **** comes on is not more than $110 paid out . Due to my high deductible , this disgusting criminal Talkaitry charges me multiple bogus codes claiming 45 min visit and yet another code for bogus charges . I got no where reaching them to explain this B.S . I pray their is a great attorney who can help people like us file a lawsuit . This is despicable and they should not be able to commit this . It is insurance fraud and stealing from their own clients who seek help . Shame on you Dr. *********** believe is the ***** You have zero intentions to offer mental health to people who need it . You are a greedy mobster who needs to be fully investigated and your company needs to be taken down . I sure hope we hot sone smart lawyers who monitor these sites . Class action law suit anyone ? Count me in . I filed a case with my insurance Cigna to investigate this but disappointedly months go by now 3 months I hear nothing . This is the reason we are having to pay rising health insurance premiums so you must do something Cigna as Im not happy with your lack of help either . These criminals at Talkaitry are disgusting thiefs . Charge me 3x more for a exactly same bare 20 min follow up visit when I only been charged $110 at most same insurance and same doctor . I only went to Talkaitry since my doctor moved there which a big mistake for me . Im disappointed my doctor chose to associate herself with such a horrid company who take advantage of the patients . This nasty company threatened to send me to collections. stay away from the Talkaity monster . I never felt so strongly about this .Talkiatry

Hi, *******. We've partnered with major insurers to make psychiatry more accessible, but a patient's final cost depends on their coverage. The best way to find out how much your care might cost is to contact your insurer and ask about your plans coverage for outpatient mental health treatment. Double-charges insurance for their psych+therapy services, and insurance will likely not reduce the cost of it, even in-network.The website advertises "Under $30 per visit!*" (emphasis on the *)Visits are $150-300, and you're likely to pay out-of-pocket for the whole thing.Talkiatry

ZERO STARTS. Unfortunately, there is a gaping chasm between those who directly provide medical care and those who bill for the same care. I would give negative stars if I could, but I want to be absolutely clear that this opinion has nothing to do with the actual psychiatrist and has everything to do with this company's deceitful marketing and cumbersome billing process.Front and center on Talkiatry's homepage, they "most patients pay only thirty dollar to see us. Great! If that were true, then I wouldn't be so disgusted at this corporation pretending like they are pioneers in expanding affordable care. Bottom line: AFTER insurance, I was billed over three hundred dollars. I called to dispute the bill, but they will not transfer to the actual personnel responsible for the billing. All they do is direct you to their email.A key ***** of Talkiatry's marketing is that they work with insurance and they provide affordable care. Obviously, that's not the case. I am aggravated by their piss-poor customer service, but outright enraged by their rank hypocrisy.Talkiatry
