I had applied for car insurance, Progressive ran a credit check through LexisNexis. It pulled up false information on the results. I have been trying to get it corrected. The name **************************** is not any relation of mine. Also I have never had *************** I have never lived in ******, ***I filed this with the New York office and they did nothing to correct this and have it removed from my name. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:This is what they always say. They are going to look into it or I can call them.But they never send a resolution nor do they employ enough people to not be on hold for more than an hour. This business needs to go out of business. It is a scam. It steals peoples information without their permission and sells it to 3rd parties and insurance companies like progressive which make your insurance go up. It is violating multiple laws under the fair credit reporting act including the constitutional law to right to privacy. No government agency has looked into lexisnexis and their criminal behavior against society. Lexisnexis does not have my permissible purpose to publish any public information about me or to sell it to any non affiliated 3rd parties. Please cease and desist and remove all of my information from your database.

For Better Business Bureau (BBB) complaints, we continue to use a generic response for posting on the BBB website and a mail a more fulsome response to the consumer.? We have taken this approach to safeguard consumer-specific data; the BBB has confirmed that this is the better approach.

I was told this is a reporting company when your car is in an accident. i didn't receive any notification from them or had any knowledge they are a reporting company that prevents you from getting auto insurance in the state of **. I have tried via phone and email to reach out to this company with no success. Apparently they are a provider to insurance companies on an individuals credit. They are reporting false information to the insurance company on my behalf and Ive never had any dealings with them. I have a copy of my current DMV report which the insurance company wont accept because they utilize Lexis Nexis and referred me to contact the company for a resolution. However, none of their phone numbers let you talk to an actual representative. Its an automated system that redirects you back to their website. When sending an e-mail, I received a generic reply back stating they couldnt help me because my identity couldnt be verified and I needed to upload a social security card passport or military ID. I dont have any accounts personally with this company. And Im not uploading any form of identification to a company that I cant confirm what they require it for. This company is reporting false information on individuals to insurance companies which raise our rates. Specifically ************** companies utilize them.Business Response

I went to open a bank account but couldnt because the information on LexisNexis was over 2 years old. I sent all my verification documents to them and told them it was urgent and needed to be corrected immediately as the bank doesnt have a manual verification process. They told me that they would make a request but it would take over a week. Then hung up on me. There is an at fault accident claim that has been reported on my driving record. I disputed the claim and they went from at fault to partially at fault. I am filing this complaint against reporting agency Lexus Nexis because I am suspecting possible fraudulent reporting activity regarding inaccurate calculations of my insurance accounts. I have requested several times in the last two months a copy of my Lexus Nexis report to review the contents and each time I am sent a letter declining my request. I received a call this month as a follow up to my phone complaint an returned a call with instructions of how to follow up. I provided basic info to the agent and there has been no more contact.
