Due to whatever this business does, we are being denied coverage by other car insurance companies and are stuck with a very high rate due to erroneous information this company has supplied our current car insurance company. I have tried contacting this company 3 times to resolve the issue and have heard absolutely NOTHING back from them, yet continue to have the insurance issue.Business Response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:They sent a letter which I received on August 9, 2024. In it they list the "claims" that are on my file and a link to access my consumer disclosure report, which is ********************************************************************; I went to the link to try to request the form, filled the form out, which then prompted me to fill in ALL the information I have filled out 5 times before and haven't been able to get my report. I then received an email stating that my request "has been received." which once again leaves me to getting zero resolution to the issue.
I would like to have a PERSON TO SPEAK WITH from LexisNexis who will help RESOLVE the issue so I don't have to continue losing work time from dealing with this situation.
In addition to this, DESPITE having a copy of my driver's license with my current name and address on it, the company still addressed the letter to **** ***********************. My correct name is **** ***********************.
*************************.
In order for the BBB to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

I have been speaking to my attorney about the privacy class action lawsuit against LexisNexis that was opened in April for violation of personally identifiable information. And I will be taking legal action against LexisNexis if they do not immediately remove ALL inaccurate names and addresses, and all variations of names and addresses. I have already sent in proof of address along with proof of my identity to LexisNexis. I already requested for them to remove all other non-verified and inaccurate names and addresses, and they declined to remove them. ONE AND ONLY ONE name and address should appear on my report. It is the following one that I have already provided LexisNexis proof of:??***** *************************?**********************************************?********************* LexisNexis is in clear violation of a number of laws, particularly the following: ?15 U.S.C. 1681s-2 (A) Reporting information with actual knowledge of errors. A person shall not furnish any information relating to a consumer to any consumer reporting agency if the person knows or has reasonable cause to believe that the information is inaccurate. (B) Reporting information after notice and confirmation of errors. A person shall not furnish information relating to a consumer to any consumer reporting agency if (i) the person has been notified by the consumer, at the address specified by the person for such notices, that specific information is inaccurate; and (ii) the information is, in fact, inaccurate. 15 U.S.C. 1681o (a) In general. Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:LexisNexis responded that they "will mail a response directly to [me], to the address provided in this complaint once the re-investigation is resolved."
I cannot be satisfied until this issue is fully resolved. And as of right now, the case is unresolved, as LexisNexis has decided to begin an investigation process, rather than abide by consumer law and immediately remove all unverified and unprovable information that they are furnishing in my LexisNexis public and auto reports.
Until something is actually resolved (and while they "re-investigate" their breach of my consumer rights), this case cannot be closed.
I expect immediate remedy of LexisNexis' violation of consumer law 623. Responsibilities of furnishers of information to consumer reporting agencies [15 U.S.C. 1681s-2]
And if they continue to violate my consumer rights, I will be taking legal action against them according to 617. Civil liability for negligent noncompliance [15 U.S.C. 1681o]I await immediate remedy of this violation

In an attempt to acquire new homeowner's and vehicle insurance, we contacted an insurance broker agency, several months ago, who is telling us that Lexis Nexis has information that two claims are still open from vehicle claims, and they cannot get new insurance for us with claims open. After contacting all the insurance companies involved in the two claims, receiving letters from the insurance companies that there are no claims open, and numerous phone calls to Lexis Nexis, I received a letter from Lexis Nexis a few days ago that my identity cannot be verified. I have already given Lexis Nexis, verbally, all the information they requested, and told them I could send copies of the letters stating there are no claims open, but the rep I spoke with did not care about the evidence.Business Response

On the new report dated June 26, 2024 it still shows an open claim against my home at ****************************************************************************** which never happened at this address.The following pages still reference an open claim at ***********************************************;
1) Page 45 of 84
2) Page 47 of 84

Consumer Statement Date Placed: 06/25/2024
The claim dated 05/01/2023 is not associated to the address ***** ****** **** ** *** ****** ** *****.
That is not sufficient. I would like all mentions of the Claim shown at ***** ****** **** ** *** ****** ** ***** completely removed from my report so that when I apply for insurance on this property it does not show any statements referencing an open claim on the property.Thank you,

LexisNexis has not removed the inaccurate information from the CLUE report on my primary residence located at ***** ****** **** **** *** ****** ** ***** that shows an open claim of approximately $14,0000 from May of 2023. There was no claim on this property address. There was a claim on a different property that I own located at a different address in a different zip code and that claim was closed in 2023. Attached to the BBB complaint are letters that Farmers Insurance provided stating that there was no claim at this address in May of 2023. I also provided that same documentation to LexisNexis, but still LexisNexis has not removed the inaccurate information from my CLUE report. Did a human at the BBB and Lexis Nexis review the letters from Farmers insurance that I attached? I almost feel like a real person has not reviewed the letters from Farmers insurance because if a real person reads those letters I think it is pretty cut and dry that the inaccurate informatoin on my Clue report needs to be removed. I am amazed on how many months this has been going on. Perhaps a conference call where I show the letters to Lexis Nexis and the BBB might help resolve this issue.Business Response

I tried to requet an online copy of my consumer discloure report. I was denied several times since they could not "verify my identify" even though I gave me SSN. I finally called the support line and after some trouble was finally able to "verify" idenity. They finally promised my report would be sent in 1-2 business weeks. BBB Business Profiles generally cover a three-year reporting period, except for customer reviews. Customer reviews posted prior to July 5, 2024, will no longer be published when they reach three years from their submission date. Customer reviews posted on/after July 5, 2024, will be published indefinitely unless otherwise voluntarily retracted by the user who submitted the content, or BBB no longer believes the review is authentic. BBB Business Profiles are subject to change at any time. If you choose to do business with this company, please let them know that you checked their record with BBB.
As a matter of policy, BBB does not endorse any product, service or business. Businesses are under no obligation to seek BBB accreditation, and some businesses are not accredited because they have not sought BBB accreditation. BBB charges a fee for BBB Accreditation. This fee supports BBB's efforts to fulfill its mission of advancing marketplace trust.
