We must take action against LexisNexis and ********************* for spreading false information. It's unacceptable to have our character tarnished and pay higher insurance rates due to their negligence. Let's fight for the truth and hold these companies ********************************** is not a credible company which is being used by ********************* company as well as others in obtaining consumer reporting information that is false about the consumer. In my scenario, we contacted ********************* about a quote an auto policy at the rate of $350/month or $1743 paid in full for 6 months. That was one quote.Another quote stated a paid in full amount of $1862 or start today at 149.02.Another quote stated a paid in full amount of $2075 or start today at $165.91.Another quote stated a paid in full amount of $1561 or start today at 125.01.The first quote I listed was from a month ago that stated the $350/month. Which was not the original quoted amount under $300.********************* told us LexisNexis is the company who is reporting the ******** (Comprehensive Loss Underwriting Exchange) to them in order to give a quote for insurance. Upon contacting LexisNexis we were informed that the information told to us was not showing on our consumer report. This raised so many concerns for us due to the fact that misinformation about us is being passed around that is not reputable by any means and is causing us to be charged more than what we should be paying for insurance. This company LexisNexis and ********************* needs to be held accountable for falsified information because it is a defamation of character attack on consumers.

After receiving a letter in regards to my insurance score I called lexisnexis to get explanation. In 30 years I have never filed an insurance claim. I have a good credit score. All accounts are current with no delinquencies. And yet lexisnexis told me people like me have a higher rate of filing a claim and with that gave me a lower Insurance score causing a increase in my quoted rate. The people like me comment felt very discriminating. There inaccurate reports cause people who have no issues to be liking to file a claim. **************** is horrible. I actually do not feel safe with them having all my personal information

LexisNexis reported a duplicate speeding ticket to my insurance company, increasing my rates. They have no easy way to dispute this information and when I finally was able to talk to a human they required me to jump through hoops and send them copies of all my identification in order to even start the dispute process. Because they screwed up, I had to waste time and energy proving who I am and disputing false accusations. Meanwhile there is no consequence for their company for reporting the falsified information to begin with. I want to force them to have a clear and easy to find dispute process and when they are found to be at fault, some type of consequence for their failure.

I, just like millions of people were negatively financially and personally impacted during the terrible days of the Pandemic. I am an attorney and a law firm I worked for (******* ********) did not have Lexis so I purchased an account with the understanding (noted in contract) that if my firm bought a Lexis account or if I changed to a firm that had Lexis that Lexis would let me cancel my personal Lexis account. That is what happened when I accepted a job offer with *************************** and began the job on 12/18/23. My personal LexisNexis account is set up for auto payment from my bank account. I have emailed and spoke with Lexis on several occasions and they eventually ask for additional documentation and after this has been provided I never hear from them again. I have now been automatically billed for five installments so we are looking at over $1,250 in charged that I am owed. I have copies of all my prior emails and the debits. They just completely ignore me.

      Date: 05/29/2024

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I lodged my request with Lexis I believe back in JANUARY and all subsequent follow-up inquiries are answered with the same response, that it is being looked into.  Then NOTHING happens.  Meanwhile, I continue to be automatically billed and there is no way to stop that other than to CLOSE MY CHECKING ACCOUNT THAT I HAVE HAD FOR OVER 20 YEARS.  I spoke with my rep back in January and was told that this would be no problem - cancelling the account, but that she just needed to submit the request, that was it.  Months later LexisNexis and the rep are nowhere to be found and my emails are ignored.  This is a simple issue and I have provided all the requested documentation.  My new law firm has LexisNexis and I have a new LexisNexis ID that I use exclusively and have done so since 12/18/23.  When I purchased my personal Lexis subscription it was expressly agreed that if I moved to a law firm that had Lexis that I would be allowed to cancel my personal subscription and that is exactly what happened.  This is not rocket science.  LexisNexis will either honor the terms of the contract and refund the automatic charges since 12/18/23 or they will not.  If they will not, then I will be forced to take legal action.  I do not know what else I have to do to correct this.

We requested car insurance and were advised of a CLUE report provided by LexisNexis to our new insurance company. The report had information reflecting my father-in-law's at-fault accident in ******** while we were living in **********. I proceeded to file a dispute (case#********) with LexisNexis over the misinformation. However, they refused to mail anything to our mailing address without proof of address. Items such as financial records for proof of address are not something that I will ever share with a company I don't do business with. In today's day, most of our documents are sent electronically only (phone bill, internet bill, streaming service bill) as we have no need to waste trees on tangible documents. Since we are a military family, we've been stationed overseas for 3 years and have no lease, no health card, no ID w/address for our actual mailing address. We would like to remain updated on the status of the dispute we are requesting. As a consumer reporting agency, LexisNexis should follow through on this request.

I had signed a one year contract with Lexis Nexis. I was told I would have to renew it when my contract came to an end. When I was contacted in December regarding renewing my contract, I was at first interested in renewing but then decided not to. I received an email from the representative regarding the renewal and in her email she mentioned an auto-renewal which confused me because there was never any mention of an auto-renewal when I signed up or even when I spoke to her. I emailed back and said I decided not to renewal and to inform me of the cancellation process but then she emailed back saying I had to had canceled 30 days before my sign up day and there was nothing she can do. I was back and further with her and her supervisor as there was no mention of an auto-renewal or that I had 30 days cancellation. Not even the email she sent me that mentioned the auto-renewal said anything regarding when I have to cancel. They ignore any mention that I was not informed by their agents of the auto-renewal and the 30 days cancellation and say I have to pay for another year with them. I would like help in getting them to stop sending my invoices to pay for an account I no longer use.

      Business Response

      Date: 06/04/2024

LexisNexis Risk Solutions **** takes complaints from consumers extremely seriously and we have a robust process in place for resolving such matters, including a Legal review of all responses and handling by our Operations Escalated Response Team.

For Better Business Bureau (BBB) complaints, we continue to use a generic response for posting on the BBB website and a mail a more fulsome response to the consumer.  We have taken this approach to safeguard consumer-specific data; the BBB has confirmed that this is the better approach.

If the consumer does not agree with the BBB website response he or she can then reject the case on the BBB website; however, it keeps the consumers data safe.

And to reiterate, a separate letter is sent to the consumer with the specific details of the resolution via mail.

I was interested in a single product from LexisNexis. The product was a Lexis for ********* Word add-on that I used in a previous firm, specifically for transactional contract drafting. I was assured by the LexisNexis sales representative that I would get this product but had to purchase a LexisNexis subscription. I signed the contract on February 28, 2024. On February 29, 2024, I was surprised to see that the product was an entirely different product, specifically geared towards litigation- drafting of motion. This product has a search for cases (not relevant in transactional legal practice) and court rules for drafting (also not relevant for transactional drafting). I have communicated with LexisNexis including the original sales representative, his higher *** and have in writing that my contract subscription may be cancelled. However, despite repeatedly informing everyone on the email chain that this is not the product I asked for and was assured that I will get, LexisNexis has refused to cancel this subscription. LexisNexis misrepresented a material fact and is in breach of its contract. The contract that I signed is also predatory. I am happy to send all communication as well as my contract forward, if I may be provided an email address. Thank you.
