LexisNexis Risk Solutions **** takes complaints from consumers extremely seriously and we have a robust process in place for resolving such matters, including a Legal review of all responses and handling by our Operations Escalated Response Team.

I contracted with Lexis + for database caselaw services [law] beginning July 1, 2023 and immediately had issues logging-in, despite prior assurances. I needed the service to research for a trial, and asked to cancel the contract on July 3, given the seriousness of the breach and lack of assistance. When that issue was finally resolved, several days later my searches yielded no results, and customer service acknowledged the issue. The malfunction persisted and despite continual communications of the major issue, Lexis appeared to take a defensive stance with ***** and ignorant accusations, such as 'your voicemail was full' [our communications was by email]. I was shocked by the apparent unprofessionalism and incompetence. By the third week of July they seemed to have completely lost interest in assisting me; the search issue remained live. I stopped logging into Lexis given its uselessness. They offered me a credit of $100, which was insulting and offensive, given they had not fixed the issue. My theory is that because the company is a subsidiary of an offshore ******* entity, they behave as if they are not bound by any domestic accountability; their arrogance is rooted in centuries of ******* colonial oppression in ******.

This non-reply does not address the complaint whatsoever. Such abdication of corporate responsibility illustrates Lexis' so-called 'customer service'. It is still surprising that a 'a ******* multinational information and analytics company headquartered in ******, ******* [RELX]' (Wikipedia) who services lawyers with caselaw databases, and who the ******** courts and law associations depend on for legal information, will not properly respond to a complaint in a timely manner.

      [Your Answer Here]

The business [LexisNexis - RELX] replied that:

'And to reiterate, a separate letter is sent to the consumer with the specific details of the resolution via mail.'

      That is no response.

No resolution communication from Lexis has been received on this matter. In fact, the final instalment of last year's contract was overpaid and the business has refused to provide a refund, ignoring any attempts by me to obtain such. Reference to 'Legal' is a veiled threat, rather than any attempt at resolution.

I do not have a contract with LexisNexis .I did not give them permission to furnish my information. They continue to report false information on my LexisNexis report which is a bankruptcy *** BANKRUPTCY COURTS ** REF#*******. I contacted the *** BANKRUPTCY COURTS ** over the phone in May.2023 they said they dont provide LexisNexis with my public information. I informed LexisNexis over the phone they said in a letter it was Pacer. I didnt give them permission to do that so my rights are clearly violated. I have contacted LexisNexis about removing this false information multiple times this year they refuse to do so even though I have not given them permission to furnish my information to begin with and they have also invaded my privacy which I have a right to. According to 15 USC 1681(4) There is a need to insure that consumer reporting agencies exercise their grave responsibilities with fairness, impartiality, and a respect for the consumers right to privacy. Also According to 15 USC 1681i(5) the credit bureaus have to modify or delete accounts that are not reporting accuratelyNot only did they disregard my wishes when I asked to remove this item but they also violated my rights and continue to provide false information after I willing sent over my identification and other items to prove the correct address. The address they continue to provide on my bankruptcy case is false. Because they provide and continue to provide false and inaccurate information I demand they remove the bankruptcy thats reporting on the Lexis Nexis consumers report due to reporting false information after being informed and provided documentation. They have disregarded me as I have informed them about the inaccuracies. Below shows inaccuracies of the addresses on my LexisNexis report and pictures of my state I.D for the correct addresses.

I purchased an e-textbook from LexisNexis and it would not open on my device. I was on the support line for hours trying to figure out what the issue was and the recommendation was that I contact Adobe reader to fix the problem. They wouldnt send me a new book or refund the money I paid. Someone should investigate these practices. Had I know I wouldnt be able to get access to the book I ordered (or even that it would be difficult), I never would have paid them the money.

LexisNexis is reporting false information to insurance companies about a claim filed with my property address. I never filed a claim at my address but yet there is a claim showing during the timeframe I have owned this house in LexisNexis database which in turn forces me to lose discounts and time speaking to representatives. I'm forced to provide letter of experience and was provided with information that I can have LexisNexis talk to the insurance provider explaining the situation. This is not sufficient. LexisNexis has refused to correct their database and remove my address as having a claim against it. I'm requesting that they "Make any necessary changes to our database" as stated in a report I requested against my profile and remove a claim on my address.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

      [Your Answer Here]

      Good morning,

My issue has not been resolved. The first reply from LexisNexis after submitting complaint was they would Mail me a response which has not arrived yet. I did receive an email that stated they "we are unable to authenticate your identity and therefore cannot process your request.". They state they encourage me to visit their website to resubmit the request. I already submitted requests with them before and that's how I ended up with you. How do we resolve this issue?

My issue is someone used my address while filing a claim with an insurance provider and my address gets flagged for having a claim causing me to have to jump through hoops to obtain a no-claim discount. LexisNexis states they cannot correct their database to remove this error.

All I'm asking for is someone to remove that claim from my address but there has been nothing but roadblocks with this company as you can tell.

In order for the BBB to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.
