Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:Please do not close this complaint. This is a ploy by the company to avoid following the law. Under the fair credit reporting act, they have to follow process of procedure. Upon speaking with multiple reps, they stated the bankruptcy at question was deleted from my consumer file and dispute on my behalf with credit bureaus. Upon speaking with a supervisor, he stated the bankruptcy never was disputed from the beginning. Per the law that's grounds to have this bankruptcy and other accounts in this dispute deleted from my consumer file immediately. The company is giving me the complete run around and the BBB is the only way that will enforce them to follow the law. Attached is a letter from Lexis Nexis stating 5/12/2023 was the date they received this letter of dispute. Upon speaking with lexis nexis they explained the bankruptcy was never disputed which is a clear violation. The letter states nothing not saying even on account that was disputed. Please have them follow the law and not continue to break my rights as a consumer. Please delete and respond back to BBB as well in writing to my address.
In order for the BBB to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

This company changed my information on my driving record they received from the court. I received a ticket for mechanical breakdown and paid the ticket. LexisNexis has changed it to failure to obey traffic device, which is basically running a stop sign/light. Weeks prior to me finding this information my company pulled my *** record from the state and it came up clean. While trying to resolve the issue a rep for LexisNexis said the court listed it wrong. So I went to the court, it's not listed incorrectly. If the court listed it incorrectly it would have showed up on the *** report my company received from the state. I was lied to to cover up their error. I submitted the ticket, that has all identification needed, and the *** report, which also has all identification needed, to correct this. They are REPEATEDLY trying to get social security number. They have had lawsuits over misrepresented information. 214 bbb complaints in 12 months, how many people didn't file complaint? How many people don't know there's an error because of this company? They need shut down.Business Response

That's a variation of their standard response posted on several previous BBB complaints. Stinks of a lawyer trying to cover a company's ****. Issue will be partially resolved when THEY FIX THE ERROR. They will completely satisfy the issue when their records are audited and fixed with informing their customers. LexisNexis false reporting put my career at RISK! Complainant just checked , Dec 19, into his record and it's still notes incorrect information. Has LexisNexis submitted a copy of that email to the BBB like complainant has numerous times? Complainant can't comprehend why LexisNexis wouldn't submit said communication unless it's a complete falsehood or it's the same worthless report access guide that they try peddling. Complainant strongly suggests that the retained attorney needs to contact insurance company with printed proof and demand complainants information to be updated correctly. Insurance will not update file unless heard directly from LexisNexis. Insurance has made notations from the information that complainant produced repeatedly.

Lexis Nexis reporting has allowed the erroneous reporting from insurance companies in my file which has prevented me from obtaining certain homeowners insurance in the ****************. They have a file with 3 claims in 3 weeks for October 2018. Claims 1 & 3 of their file state slanderous wordage which have nothing to do the incident which only occurred once yielding 1 claim ( Claim #2). The other claims state inflammatory claim wordage and state there is "$0" payout. Insurance providers only look at the wordage and the number of claims reported even though claims #1 & 3 have not pay out and all are described differently for the same incident. This is an attempt to falsify a risk value for my insurance premiums to go up or as in 2018 my insurance was not renewed. MY homeowners insurance they would not renew stating, "due to fires" in ********** area even though, I was nowhere near brush and my home was on a manmade lake in city with paved roads and sidewalks. Now, I am back to having issues trying to secure insurance for a town home in ******* and this 1 time claims posted 3 times 3 different ways pops up from 2018 and I am treated like the scourge of California. 1#Claim-******* entered 10/1/2018 2#Claim-******* entered 10/5/2018 3#Calim-******* entered 10/18/2018Business Response

Lexis Nexis DOES NOT take this seriously, on the contrary, and I challenge them to pull my recorded message recently so they can hear their employee LAUGHING AT ME when I can desperation asking to speak to his supervisor as I needed another kind of expedited efforts to "opt out" of the fraudulent file they have condoned and perpetuated against myself and my husband. Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:LexisNexis has still not provided a copy of the report. Lexis Nexis did send a letter stating that I requested a freeze to be placed on my account which can now deny me credit as a result of the freeze. I did not request any "Freeze" be placed. They have provided me with a pin number to remove the security freeze, however when I went to the link and entered the pin number it was invalid.
They also sent a letter stating I "sent a correspondence regarding data present in reports prepared by LexisNexis Risk Solutions." The issue I have is that LexisNexis has NOT PROVIDED ME WITH A COPY OF THE REQUESTED REPORT. I did not send any correspondence regarding data present I the report as I do not have the report to view or any knowledge about what is on the report. I am again requesting that Lexis Nexis stop hindering my ability to obtain credit and provide a copy of the report which was requested and has still not be mailed to my home.
This issue can be resolved at the time that LexisNexis mails a copy of the requested report. Also, now that LexisNexis is now holding my credit approval/denial hostage, I feel this is being done out of revenge for me putting in the complaint to BBB. This needs to be corrected and they need to provide me a copy of the report and release ability to obtain credit.
In order for the BBB to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:This issue is at a stand still and Lexis Nexis has not provided the requested report that I am entitled to receive. This report has negatively affected me and has raised my insurance premium. I have the right to review this report to dispute what may or may not be on it. Lexis Nexis has never given me the opportunity to review this report. I have already provided them with all the required information to receive a copy of the report. They are again stating that they cannot confirm my identity unless I provide them with my personal sensitive information. I will not provide them with this sensitive information as it was already provided. I have never had to provide a "clear copy of my government ID and a bill dated within the last 60 dats as proof of my current address. The information they are requesting has never had to be sent or mailed to the Experian, TransUnion or Equifax. Lexis Nexis is used by insurance companies and not available when requesting Credit Report annually. Lexis Nexis is aware of my identity. They can very easily confirm my identity as I have already provided them with all of this information. I dispute handing them my government documents to get a copy of a report they used. I fell that this company should have to compensate me for the excess in my insurance policy as I have had to pay this excess for two (2) renewal cycles with no way to dispute anything as they refuse to provide me with a copy of the report. I have no idea what Lexis Nexis has provided the insurance company as they have continually refused to provide it. They have no issue with sending me letters over and over asking for a "clear copy of my government ID, my social security card, and a bill within the last 60 days". I will not provide this information to hand Lexis Nexis or its employees my entire identity to steal.
They also state in this letter that they tried to email me on 11/28/2023. This is untrue. My information has been provided. This company is refusing to provide the information that I am entitled to. If they can mail me all of these harassing letters, they can certainly provide me with a copy of the report that I have been requesting for month and months, and caused me to contact the BBB as they still refuse to provide a copy of the report.
I WILL NOT AT ANY POINT IN TIME PROVIDE LEXIS NEXIS A COPY OF MY DRIVERS LICENSE, MY SOCIAL SECURITY CARD, OR A BILL THAT I RECEIVE.
In order for the BBB to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.
Sincerely,

I am my mother Court appointed Executor.i contacted Lexis Nexis in June of 2019 to inform them that my mother had passed away. They were given a death certificate and all documents that they request at that time. I ask them to freeze her credit report to avoid identity theft. They responded said that they would. I contacted Lexis Nexis again in May of 2023, and request a copy of *************************** consumer report on May. 1 and I've had to call Lexus nexis 15 times during the month if May. The conversations continued thru May 26th.Lexis Nexis is refusing to send a copy of the report. They sent me a letter with a list of documents that I would need to submit prior to releasing the consumer report. I have sent them every document that they requested. Each time they are received by Lexus nexis they keep finding excuses not to approve my request. The last conversation I had with Lexus nexis was on May 26th, I spoke with a supervisor who said that all documents were approved and I would be receiving the consumer report within **** days.. instead of receiving the report I got a letter stating that the documents were not legible and that they could not identify me. This is are sending them my drivers licenses, death certificate, court documents a appointing me as ********* **** statements, credit card statements, all this stuff was sent multiple times. Nexis Lexis is not in compliance. It is my right under the federal law to obtain a copy of the requested report. I don't know why lexis nexis would tell me on the phone that all documents were approved by supervisor, expect to receive report in 7 days but then send me a letter contradicting that. Case number is ********, consumer ********. My desires solution is that Lexis Nexis send the consumer report to me for my mother *********************** so that I as the appointed Executor can make corrections to report and report. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:I am still being over charged for auto insurance because of what is in the LexisNexis database. Simply saying you are going to do something does not resolve the issue. I have attempted to call LexisNexis many many times. Only one time was I able to speak with anybody and they were from a foreign country call center. That individual did not have the power to do anything but to read me what was in the database. This issue will be resolved, when the data is removed from the LexisNexis database and I am no longer being over charged.
In order for the BBB to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.
Sincerely,

LexisNexis Risk Solutions **** takes complaints from consumers extremely seriously and we have a robust process in place for resolving such matters, including a Legal review of all responses and handling by our Operations Escalated Response Team.
For Better Business Bureau (BBB) complaints, we continue to use a generic response for posting on the BBB website and a mail a more fulsome response to the consumer. We have taken this approach to safeguard consumer-specific data; the BBB has confirmed that this is the better approach.
If the consumer does not agree with the BBB website response he or she can then reject the case on the BBB website; however, it keeps the consumers data safe.
And to reiterate, a separate letter is sent to the consumer with the specific details of the resolution via mail.Customer Answer

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that I am powerless to do anything about anything. If LexisNexis figures out a way for me to resolve this issue, great. If not, then I will be forced to file suit.

A couple of years ago, I began receiving unsolicited regular mail offers for personal loans from *************, located at *************************************************************, and other related companies. Over that time, the frequency increased dramatically, as did the size and extravagance of the unsolicited mailers. At this point, I receive a very large envelope with a glossy brochure about once a week, sometimes more often. I have called several times trying to get off their mailing list, but they refuse to comply. I have come to learn that the mailers actually come from LexisNexis. Recently, I again called them several times and they advised that they would not take me off their mailing list unless I give them my social security number, which I refused to do. It seems wildly inappropriate that in order for me to stop excessive unsolicited mail, I need to provide this company, which I did not contract with, my social security number and other sensitive information.Business Response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:The company sent me two letters some time ago claiming that my name and information were removed from their solicitation list, yet I received another of their large solicitation envelopes in the mail today (see attached). It appears that my name has not, in fact, been removed from their list.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:Since I began filing these complaints many months ago, I have received multiple boilerplate letters from the business claiming that they "take consumer complaints very seriously," and that my information has been removed from their database and the problem has been corrected. Clearly, this is inaccurate. I just received yet another unsolicited hard copy mailer in my mailbox today, August 22, 2023 (as have I continued to receive them consistently for the past several months). It appears that the business has done nothing to address my complaint, other than to send boilerplate letters misrepresenting that the problem has been corrected. I have called them, written them, submitted forms to them and filed complaints with the BBB, but the business has done nothing to correct the problem.
Sincerely,
