On April 1st, 2023, I sent a letter to the courthouse asking do they report bankruptcies to the credit bureaus and I received a letter stating, "They do not report any bankruptcies to anyone." If that is the case, how did the credit bureaus verify that this bankruptcy was 100% accurate. They did not do a fair investigation to the 15 U.S.C. ****. 15 U.S.C. **** section 603 (3)(E) states; The term "investigative consumer report" means a consumer report or portion thereof in which information on a consumer's character, general reputation, personal characteristics, or mode of living is obtained through personal interviews with neighbors, friends, or associates of the consumer reported on or with others with whom he is acquainted or who may have knowledge concerning any such items of information. However, such information shall not include specific factual information on a consumer's credit record obtained directly from a creditor of the agency when such information was obtained directly from a creditor of the consumer or from the consumer. LexisNexis Risk Solutions **** takes complaints from consumers extremely seriously and we have a robust process in place for resolving such matters, including a Legal review of all responses and handling by our Operations Escalated Response Team.
For Better Business Bureau (BBB) complaints, we continue to use a generic response for posting on the BBB website and a mail a more fulsome response to the consumer. We have taken this approach to safeguard consumer-specific data; the BBB has confirmed that this is the better approach.
If the consumer does not agree with the BBB website response he or she can then reject the case on the BBB website; however, it keeps the consumers data safe.

$0.00 Insurance claim for glass repair reported to LexisNexis by Liberty Mutual for 11/19/2021.I called LexisNexis (and Liberty Mutual) at least 6 or 7 times since January 2023 requesting removal of the claim. I have repeatedly asked LexisNexis to call Safelight Glass, as I did, to verify that the claim was voided by Safelight Glass. The LexisNexis dispute team ignores my request to call Safelight Glass EACH time, sending me letters that the information from Liberty Mutual is correct, i.e., that there is a glass claim. LexisNexis defers to Liberty Mutual each time, which wont remove the claim. Liberty Mutual profited from 2 years of me paying more to them for insurance due to this claim, never informing me that a claim was recorded, but raising my rate. I found out about the claim at the end of 2022 when I decided to seek insurance elsewhere due to Liberty Mutual repeatedly raising my rate. I am trying to prevent other insurers from charging me too much for the next 5 years or more based on this purported claim. Currently, I am paying too much for auto insurance, and I am told by my current insurer that my premium will be corrected when I get the claim removed.I dispute this $0.00 claim because the claim was never completed. THERE IS NO CLAIM. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE. NOTHING WAS DONE. IT WAS VOIDED by Safelight Glass. That is a record that can be verified by calling Safelight Glass *************) with the claim number *********. Liberty Mutual never informed me that they initiated a claim based on my call inquiring about potential damage from a stone and won't remove it. In fact, during that call, Liberty Mutual advised me to have Safelight Glass have a look and told me there would be no claim unless damage is reported. My request is simple and will not harm to Liberty Mutual or LexisNexis. Remove the claim from the credit report so that I dont unfairly pay more for insurance. I currently cannot access the report - pin expiration, but I can soon if it is needed.Business Response

I Can tried to contact LexisNexis on multiple occasions to have them correct many errors on my driving history and now I am also getting bills and misdemeanors against me based on incorrect information they are providing. I have made many disputes and the always say the information is accurate when in reality it is NOT. They have mixed my information with two other people that have the same first and last name but different middle names. Which therefore they would have different license numbers and social security numbers. I need this resolved since my insurance premium has gone up significantly as well as now Im being billed for things that have nothing to do with me. I need a resolution ASAP as this has been ongoing for a year nowBusiness Response

Nothing has been resolved. You state in your response that someone will reach out to me or something will be mailed to me. Yet that does not resolve the fact that I have made many attempts to resolve this with LexisNexis and have been denied as if I was lying of my OWN Identity. You sell public information using an automated system and have created many errors that are costly to me. My insurance premium has gone up as well as Im being mistaken with someone else and am being billed by a County in a state I dont even live in. Not acceptable.

LexisNexis has had the opportunity in many different occasions to resolve this matter when Ive made a number of disputes. I have had to resort to other methods in order to get this resolved. When *** disputed my case with LexisNexis, theyve came back and said the information is correct. Meanwhile when I requested my consumer report its clear as day theres information on 2 others with different last 4 of their drivers license # on the report that ********************** gave me and said its accurate. How is that accurate? When *** called and pleaded my case all that was said is well put a dispute in and youll receive notice in 30 days. Seriously? 4 disputes minimum that means 4 months 120 days. Sorry but I trust nothing LexisNexis says. Once I get this resolved I hope my information never gets mixed up like this again.

I was contacted by Lexis-Nexis (LN) to solicit my legal research business. I have been a long-time WestLaw (WL) subscriber and was told this was a special promotion for firms like mine. I am also a solo practitioner and LN strives to market to this group. I was told I would save substantial money. I explained I did not know the date my contract with WL ended. I was told a "bridge agreement" could be used to lock-in the savings. Within 6 days, I contacted LN when I realized the contract required that I carry both contracts for the length of my existing WL contract which we set at ****. The result is I will pay more over the 5-year period than I would have otherwise. The facts are a bit more complicated but that is the upshot. I was granted early cancellation by LN. Sales refused to implement it. I sent in excess of 40 emails to try to get a response within LN. I then contacted a very highly-placed LN executive via LinkedIn. I received a response the next day. However, that led to an "internal review" by three individuals and LN decided it would stand on the contract. During the initial negotiations when I explained I needed more information before deciding, for thefirst time I was told the promotion ended that day and I had to decided. I beleive that was a false statement, in addition to the statements about savings which is demonstrably false.LN also refused to voluntarily mediate through WI-ATCP. I wrote a twenty-page letter to LN's corporate counsel's office including a thumb drive of exhibits. I have received no response. One of my enclosures was LN's BBB complaints of a similar nature. It seems LN only responds when something is made public, which I have been reluctant to do to preserve an amicable reslution. When I received a sales email today that LN was introducting AI, I wondered if they might be able to find (or create) someone who would respond to my complaint as I surely have had no luck whatsoever. Thank you. Related documents are too large to attach.Business Response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********. I have attached additional information for LN to review, which is the 20-page letter (w/o exhibits) I submitted to Lotus ***** LN **** Counsel. I accept the proposed interim response that indicates further investigation will occur. This matter remains pending investigation by LN. THIS MATTER IS NOT RESOLVED. I accept LN's proposal to investigate and see it as a positive step after a year of trying to get a reply to my more than 40 emails to LN with no meaningful response. Thank you.

Recently I put in an application with TIAA Bank and got turned down because of what this company provided to them. I have no idea of where this company gets their false information and thinks they can get away with giving companies false info. I have never heard of LexisNexis until today. My credit score is over 800 with all 3 major credit bureaus and I have worked very hard to keep up good credit scores for many years and now this company comes along and causes me grief with a potential bank account I do not know how legal this company can do this, but I wanted to file this formal complaint instead of reaching out to the first. I wanted this to be filed, because I cannot trust a company who does this kind of lies. Attached is the letter I got in the mail today ************ needs to get the information they report accurate and anyone can see the many reviews and complaints that the same exact thing is happening to them too. This needs to be corrected and this is the starting place for me. My desire is not for them to get their information correct with this so called Bureau. I am good with all 3 major credit bureaus The address on the attached letter is ******* ** so ******** must be the ************ I do not know yetBusiness Response
