Lexis does not honor my opt-out requests. On Feb. 7th, 2023, I received an email from ************************************ confirming my email communication preference. (See Attachment 1.) But Lexis still kept sending my marketing emails even after the 10-business-day processing period as listed in the original email. Moreover, the emails they sent after confirming my opt-out choice belong to a content category that I explicitly stated to unsubscribe from and received confirmation. I spoke with LexisNexis via phone and they informed me that a letter has been mailed out, stating that the Bankruptcy has been verified. This has been an issue for over a year now. First they sent me a *** to access my consumer report but when I input the *** the website said it wasn't valid (even though it was well within the time frame and input multiple times). Then when I requested a new *** and it finally worked, I reviewed the report which had multiple errors which prevented me from getting property insurance. When I submitted a dispute the email gave me a case number and said it would be responded to within 48 hours. That was over a week and a half ago with no end in sight. So I decide to call the number on the automated email I received with the case number and the only thing the automated answer says is how to get your report. It doesn't give any response whatsoever on getting in touch with a human person to get my report corrected. In the meantime I cannot get property insurance because they think I filed a claim when I was 16 years old. Use common sense. Stop ruining peoples lives so you can save money on customer service representatives.Business Response

On February 15, 2023, I sent a letter to the courthouse requesting information on whether they report bankruptcies to credit bureaus. After our car was hit by a drunk driver, our insurance company State Farm canceled our policy (we are excellent customers). On the policy cancellation was a reference to an important report available to us and related to the cancellation from LexusNexis. I have twice requested this report and twice have received in the mail a letter with a log on one time URL and pin. Neither times, including today, has the log in worked.
