Trying to change from The ************* ******* to Progressive, but it is being rejected by Progressive, because of the report from LexiNexis saying that I have 4 claims on my policies, 4 with The Hartford and 1 with Progressive all of which were glass repair/replace. I was told by LexisNexis that it will take 7 years to clear these 4 claims. I am trying to get a lower insurance premium and I am being penalized by LexisNexis. All of the 4 claims were paid and closed. The ******** said that I have no claims at this time and if I did, we wouldn't get the good driver discount. I NEED THIS CLEARED UP. Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I don't feel that LexizNexiz provided any kind of useful information that I already didn't have that would explain why I was rejected by Progressive auto insurance comp. All I was told by Progressive, is that I had too many claims, but If I had too many claims, why am I still insured by The ******** with a clean record and discounted policy? This is why I want more information.

Lexisnexis has been calling my work phone for the past year, on a monthly basis and leaving an automated voicemail saying our company has a bill that needs to be paid. We have never engaged with this company and have never purchased any of their products. I have told them this is a mistake on there end, yet they keep calling. I am not sure if they are trying to scam our company, or if they are just incompetent.

      Customer Answer

      Date: 03/13/2023

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I received a message through the BBB portal yesterday that LexisNexis did not receive a response from me and that since they did not receive a response the case matter is resolved. They emailed me last Friday, March 3rd at 9:50am MST demanding that I provide proof of identity, in the form of either a scanned copy of my drivers license or a scanned copy of my social security number, along with a utility bill or credit card statement. I responded on Friday, March 3rd at 10:05am MST, that this is an absolutely absurd request and breach of my privacy since I have never engaged with them nor have I contact them before. They then never responded.

Then today, March 10th at 11:02am MST, they called me again with an automated voicemail saying that there is an outstanding balance I need to pay. This clearly shows that they either ignored my response or simply just dont care. We have never contacted or engaged with this company. It is quite clear the issue has not been resolved, and further highlights how incompetent LexisNexis is. This issue will be resolved when they remove my phone number, ************, from their spam

      Business Response

LexisNexis Risk Solutions **** takes complaints from consumers extremely seriously and we have a robust process in place for resolving such matters, including a Legal review of all responses and handling by our Operations Escalated Response Team.

For Better Business Bureau (BBB) complaints, we continue to use a generic response for posting on the BBB website and a mail a more fulsome response to the consumer.  We have taken this approach to safeguard consumer-specific data; the BBB has confirmed that this is the better approach.

If the consumer does not agree with the BBB website response he or she can then reject the case on the BBB website; however, it keeps the consumers data safe.

And to reiterate, a separate letter is sent to the consumer with the specific details of the resolution via mail.

      Customer Answer

      Date: 05/18/2023

      Better Business Bureau:

LexisNexis finally called me to discuss the issue. Apparently, they indicated that the calls are not coming from them and that instead someone is using their company to try and scam me out of money.

      Sincerely,

      ***************************

I sent a letter to the courthouse asking do they report bankruptcies to the credit bureaus and I got a letter stating They do not report any bankruptcies to anybody. I(***************************, Owner/Authorized Rep) have several calls and emails on record between me, my companies, and Lexis Nexis- along with denials where Lexis Nexis continues to share inaccurate business information from my Business Credit Reports with 3rd parties and lenders. I have 3 legitimate businesses, all established in different years with different business purposes. I have submitted requests for update to ************************************************ on multiple occasions to make sure they had the correct business information but they continue to willfully share the wrong information- causing direct harm and loss of funds to my business. I have also undergone personal verification multiple times.I have notified them of the above and for their willful noncompliance, and have provided documentation from the Georgia SOS, ***, Bank Statements and MORE to verify and prove the CORRECT business information so that they can update. They have continued to fail to do so, so I am coming to the BBB first before proceeding with methods that will uphold the legality of this business and our requests. We have kept all of these records for next steps if needed.Lexis Nexis has the ability to search their email for messages from each of these 3 companies below, along with the verifying documents- which they have already confirmed receipt but continue to say they "don't know how long updates will take" and that they report "from the source". By law, I(***************************), The Secretary of State, and the *** are the SOURCE. Not anyone else! Company policy does not overrule law. My car insurance policy is with progressive insurance. Policy #*********. Progressive uses consumer reporting agency LexisNexis. LexisNexis reported to progressive that I had an accident in 2017. My insurance policy went up and extra $600.00 a year. My 25 year driving record clearly shows no accidents as of October 31 2022. I filed a complaint with LexisNexis Nov. 2022. They replied "They could not verify my Identity." I believe they just want my SSI # so they can charge me more money. The higher the premium that progressive charges based on information from LexisNexis the more money that LexisNexis gets. The progressive insurance representative that I talked to on the telephone said that they have no responsibility in the information that they get from LexisNexis. My son which goes by the exact same name as I have, lives here in ********** **************. He stated to me that in 2017 he was in an accident but he was not driving and he was not charged with anything. They have so many bureaucratic layers that you have to go through. It seems like they want you to get frustrated and give up. I do not have an extra $600 to just give away for no services to a national and prominent company. I would appreciate it if you would be able to look into this incident because I am getting no results on my own from LexusNexisThank you. My Consumer # with LexisNexis is#********. My case #********. I would like a refund for all of the overpayment I am paying every month. And also I would like this error of information contained in the Lexus Nexus report corrected. My driving record is clear. My driving record is tarnished all over the country. No matter what insurance company I called because of LexisNexis consumer reporting they need to correct it. That's the resolution. Thank you again.

WRONG INFORMATION MAY CAUSE INSURERS TO REJECT OFFERING ME INSURANCE AND OFFERING LOWER RATES: **MATTER CORRECTION AND REPLY REQUESTED Hello. I am writing LexisNexis because a year or more ago, I spoke with a few different auto insurance companies and they all noticed that many of my auto insurance claims are unidentified glass claims. I had Progressive and had many glass chip claims that one insurer considered and took off and it made a big difference.Even visiting an insurance company office in person, they stated nearly a dozen, before, from their information, I explained this was very likely glass claims from windshield chips. I had Progressive and had many glass chip claims that one insurer considered and took off and it made a big difference.Even visiting an insurance company office in person, they stated nearly a dozen, before, from their information, I explained this was very likely glass claims from windshield chips. I never knew this weighed so much against me, free chip repairs through my insurer. LexisNexis likely inaccurate information hurts many consumers in the pocket book, which is why I'll be following up on this issue and request federal government oversight in this type matter for all fellow Americans and myself. High rent, student loans, high energy bills, cell phone bills, gas and groceries, car repairs from time to time in the past, these are pocket book matters. I was a valued *********** **** customer of many years, and now, Progressive declined to insure me after a quote to re-start insurance with them. Also, make sure my auto accidents read NOT AT FAULT. I was rear ended on June 21, 2019, by someone with the same insurance company, ****** I am asking this be and all other inaccuracies or blurred information not specifically stated be corrected. Being that I work two jobs, I can best be reached by email. Reply Requested.Sincerely,****************************** ************************************************ ***********************
