I first found out about this problem when signing up for CLEAR (which uses LexisNexis data) a few months ago. During this, they used questions regarding my husband - not me. Upon realizing that my data was incorrect, I filed for my data file twice via the LexisNexis site.Both times, I received a letter in the mail stating they "could not verify my identify" and to call them or file for a new report online.I contacted LexisNexis via phone multiple times, and via email more than 5 times. (screenshots of the emails are attached)Every email is an auto-response telling me to call their number and "a representative will be happy to assist you."However - when you call the ***** number there is NO way to get in contact with a representative. I've used every single touch-dial option, pressed 0, pressed *, pressed #.I simply want my data issue resolved - this is a clear breach of security to be asking questions that are not about me, and then be unable to get my own data file.For background, I got married and changed my name in July 2022, so I suspect they simply "can't verify my identity" due to that. BUT I even submitted my social security number, and they're still unable to verify me.To be unable to reach customer support is absolutely irresponsible and a security risk.Business Response

You are reporting fraudulent information that should be deleted. This company is also in violation of 15 usc ****A(4) consumer right to privacy, you infringed upon my right to privacy when you reported non public information. According to 15 usc ****a(q)(3) the term Identity theft means a fraud committed using the identifying information of another person. Pursuant to 15 usc ****b(2) you need my written consent to furnish a consumer report. If you do not have my written consent this means that you stole my identity and that you are a reseller as defined by 15 usc ****a(u) in which you phished my information. As a reseller you also violated 15 usc ****e(e). According to 15 usc ****c-2 this information should be blocked. Furthermore, they violated 15 usc ****a(2)(A)(i) which states that a consumer report should exclude information that contains transactions between the consumer and the person making the report. The term "person" is defined under 15 usc ****a(b). The transaction is my payment history which led to the bankruptcy! In conclusion, according to 15 usc ****s-2(a) (7)(A)(i)(B)(i) you are in violation because you failed to provide notice of negative information in writing prior to furnishing negative information. Instead of seeking monetary relief which I am due pursuant to 15 usc ****n and 15 usc ****o. I will settle for the immediate deletion of the account below from my consumer report as my remedy, without delay or rebuttal. Please beware I have also file complaint with Attorney General of ********. Lexis Nexis is providing misleading instructions to resolve system errors. To gain access to your file, submit a request, wait for PIN in the mail, once PIN is validated then I am assuming you have access. When the provided PIN does not validate, the instructions state to only way to resolve is to speak with a live representative. The phone number provided ************ connects to a looped recording message with no option to speak with a representative. The other phone numbers including general contact number ************, the prompts for consumer reports transfers the call to the same looping recorded message. How are consumers supposed to resolve issues if Lexis Nexis has made it impossible for you to contact them via phone?Business Response

08/24/2022 I sent LexisNexis a copy of a Pacer report the show inaccurate information about dates on some information that they furnished on my file they keep saying that its 100% accurate and its not so being that its not 100% accurate I want it removed immediately its no time to update or to correct it.To remove personal information that I dont not want on my credit report. LexisNexis as the insurance reporting company has repeatedly not been helpful in resolving my issues but continually just sending me the same information without truly analyzing the info. I have spent at least 5 phone calls and lots of time to dig up for myself how and what to do to get 2 at fault car accidents where I was not the driver of record, not married to the driver of record at the time, did not live in the same state,never was a passenger in the vehicle yet the accidents were credited to my account and my insurance rates are higher. I am asking that these incidents be expunged from my record immediately and Geico insurance(provider of the driver of record which I also dealt with and need investigating to see who is at fault for this debacle) dealt with as well. At one phone call,they said I was deceased and needed to upload my DL even though they had just sent me a decision letter. Today, they could validate who I was all of a sudden because my address and ss # didn't jive although every other time they were accepted. On June 1st, 5th and 7th, July 15, 2022 I sent letters all three credit bureaus asking for them to remove bankruptcy off my report. They somehow claimed they verified accurate information yet, failed to respond to my questions of their methods of verification. They responded with getting they information from LexisNexis and ******************************************************** Courts. July 7, 2022, I sent a letter to the District of ********** courthouse asking do they report bankruptcies to any credit bureaus and they immediately sent me correspondence stating that ** Bankruptcy Court do not report or provide information to credit bureaus or any other agencies. So, if thats the case, how did the credit bureau verify a bankruptcy as 100% accurate? The credit bureaus never did a fair investigation according to the 15 U.S.C. ****. 15 U.S.C. **** section 603 (3)(E) States; the term investigative consumer report means a consumer report or portion thereof in which information on a consumers character, general reputation, personal characteristics, or mode of living is obtained through personal interviews with neighbors, friends, or associates of the consumer reported on or with others with whom he/she is acquainted or who may have knowledge concerning any such items of information. However, such information shall not include specific factual information on a consumers credit report obtained directly from a creditor of the consumer or from a consumer reporting agency. When was such information obtained? You have violated my rights numerous times. You have violated my given rights under 15 U.S.C. ****. According to 15 U.S.C. **** section 602 A. States I have the right to privacy. According to 15 U.S.C.**** section604 A. Section 2: A consumer reporting agency cannot furnish an account without written instructions. I have been trying to get my Lexis Nexis reports for almost 2 months. I followed all of the guidelines given by their website and was told I would receive instructions in the mail. I did, but of course the links did not work to get me the reports, so I called, and I was told "sometimes that happens, but I can mail you those reports. That was 3 weeks ago. I believe that Lexis Nexis just tries to wear you down with all this bureaucracy, knowing that a lot of people will just give up. I want those reports as promised and an explanation as to why I have to go thru all this time wasting effort, false links on your website, and phony promises that the reports are in the mail.Business Response
