After seeing the actual price for medications after I signed up I immediately reached out multiple times to cancel on the same day as signing up letting them know I could not afford the cost. Instead of helping me they told me to just keep my membership and take advantage of the program even after expressing I cannot afford it. If they were upfront about the cost and didn't hide fees this would not be an issue. I asked multiple times for upfront pricing and finally they gave me answers after calling 5 times and sending multiple messages.Business Response

While we understand the members frustration, the terms were agreed to. Prior to activating a membership, a short summary outlining the payment plan and cancellation policy is displayed, with key details emphasized in bold. Below this summary, there is a mandatory checkbox confirming agreement with these terms. The membership activation is contingent upon this box being checked.
Also, our WW Clinic memberships have more to offer than just ***** prescriptions. So not getting these prescriptions is not a valid reason for us to terminate a commitment plan early.
Sincerely,
WeightWatchers

Similar to many other recent complaints, I was recently using WW for compounded ***********. The company reassured patients that service wouldn't be interrupted, and then abruptly canceled mine (and many others') medications. I qualify for Zepbound, but it is quadruple the cost for me per month and I simply cannot afford it. The other medical options given are already available to me by my PCP. The compounded medication offering was literally the only reason why I was using WW Clinic. If I wished to continue with WeightWatchers, I would have needed to indicate that by clicking a link by May 18, 2025. I was not notified of this message in my clinic chat and did not see it until May 22, 2025. I was automatically enrolled into a 12-month subscription, which I did not consent to. I have filed a cancelation online, but then continued to receive emails and messages from my Care Team as if my membership is active. I also tried canceling by phone, the automated message said it was pending. Once I got through to a worker on the phone, they said they were unable to cancel my account (even though I called the number provided in the email notice to patients) and I had to try through my care team. I do NOT want to be charged. Since they cannot fulfill the original contract terms, I want all membership canceled immediately and no further billing.Customer Answer

Im reaching out in sheer frustration and disappointment regarding the handling of my WW *********** plan.I enrolled in the program and was active for three months. I was billed and thenliterally the next daywas informed it was being discontinued. I requested a refund, which was denied. When the shipment arrived, it contained less than two doses (the plan was supposed to include four). I assumed the reduced quantity was due to the discontinuation on May 21st and, despite being charged the full amount, I tried to let it go. Although, I felt VERY ripped off. At the time, I was told that once the program ended, I would not be billed again. Yet today, I was charged another $160. When I contacted customer service, they said only the Care Team could resolve itthe same Care Team that created this entire mess. I tried to understand what was happening, but the communication from WW has been vague and contradictory from the start. I was told I couldnt cancel until I finished the medicationnow Im guessing it auto-renewed?Frankly, it feels like WW has intentionally created a confusing system that results in people being overbilled. I dont want to argueI just want my money back and to be done with this. Instead, Im being passed around with no resolution. Please help me resolve this immediately.Business Response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********. While I am disappointed the company took the chicken way out and did not own up to their mistakes or give a proper response, I am happy the account has been closed. They also did not return the money, instead I fought it through my credit card. Hopefully WW can find their way back to being the reputable company they once were.

Unreasonable Membership Enforcement, Poor Customer Service, and Inconsistent Policies I signed up for what i now understand a one-year subscription to the WeightWatchers Clinic program at $74 per month. Due to recent and unforeseen financial hardship, I am no longer able to afford the service or the associated medication. I reached out to cancel my membership, but WeightWatchers has a cancellation date of April 2026. citing the contracts "Commitment" term (the never even stated how long i'd keep paying 74 a month). What makes this more frustrating is that I previously signed up for this same service and was able to cancel without issue after a few months. At that time, my request was honored with no additional hoops or delays. They offered me deals to come back which i took thinking it was similar to my previous experience. Now, in nearly identical circumstances, Im being denied that same option, with no clear explanation for the policy inconsistency.Additionally, the companys customer service model is extremely difficult to navigate. The only available option is through a chat system, where I can submit a message and receive a vague, canned reply 23 business days later. If I ask for clarification or try to respond, Im placed back in the same waiting cycle. This creates a frustrating loop with no meaningful way to resolve the issue.I believe this lack of timely, accessible customer service and the inconsistency in policy enforcement is unreasonable. The rigid enforcement of an unaffordable membership despite demonstrated need and past precedent is unfair and distressing.Business Response

0 COST TRANSPARENCY! I was on Wegovy, then insurance no longer covered it (was $25/mo); The refill was then $750!! I requested my commitment be cancelled due to this because obviously, thats impossible to pay for. I was forced to be switched to compounded ***********, it was $189/mo which still is wild but.. I was too deep in now and hey, still less than $750 plus $99 WW subscription. *********** was abruptly cut on 5/22/2025- like 1 day notice to order more refills or be stuck to go cold turkey off this medicine; which is DANGEROUS!! They terminated my subscription and that was that. No compounded no options. I was then under the impression I could sign up again (silly me) and the website advertised Wegovy at $199 cash pay; 74/mo membership ok, not crazy but still expensive. I did it, signed up once more and felt relief to not just abruptly stop this max dose. Ive been on *********** since April 2024. Im frantic to find any options!! I am now being told that #1 Wegovy is only $199 THE FIRST MONTH then $499!???. I said to the care coordinator within 24 hours-to terminate this commitment because the website said $199 and I cant use this clinic. Now I got nothing but a run around from the clinic and long response wait times and repeatedly sending the same copied and pasted response saying Im now on the hook for $74/mo for a year. FOR NO REASON. I medically cannot take the other non ******* So now Im stuck paying $74 for absolutely nothing??? I am 1-2 days in and they cant just terminate this commitment before the doctor even reviews all my background!??? This is predatory and Im sick about it. I used to respect weight watchers but this is unfair and I want to just cancel the membership as of today, rather than 2026!! They are luring people to sign up-misleading them to take their money! These thieves plan on charging me still without supplying any services I signed up for! I did not sign up to pay $600+ a month! They are very sneaky and deceptive.Customer Answer

I was using the clinic service through Weight Watchers and started out with a relatively smooth experience. One is was that the billing seems to be different totals and would vary depending on the month. Just a few weeks ago, I was sent email that the company was going to through bankruptcy proceedings. No worries, I figure they have things sorted and I appreciated the transparency. Cut to the 21st of May when I receive an email that my medication will no longer be available and that my membership is canceled. I did not need to do anything else unless I wanted to re-enroll and start the program up again. I decided to go another route and messaged the care team to confirm my membership was in fact canceled. They responded that yes, it was. I felt that was a simple finish and that I could now move along. Well, yesterday, 5/29, I noticed that I have been charged $85. How does this work when I am mo longer a member? I have been going back and forth with the care team all day. They have said that I am getting billed forn$85 for medicine that was sent at the begining of the month on 5/2. I do not understand how this makes any sense. What business charges you for an item almost 4 weeks after? I keep getting dismissed even after I ask for clarification. I have gone through my bank statements and there are charges that should line up but they do not. I thought they were a reputable company but it seems like this trend of the bait and switch has been common as of late. I have saved screenshots of all the messages and they are very generic and not helpful in explaining this issue.Business Response

I was billed twice on 5/21/2025. I reached out through the chat option on my app and the customer representatives were not helpful at all.I attempted to call and had to hang up after waiting for a representative for 67 minutes. I simply want the extra money removed from my account refunded. I have closed the account to avoid the issue in future.Business Response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********* and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because]
Initially, I heard a response from the Weight Watchers representative.. The initial issue was about billing. This issue was somewhatresolved, however; I had trouble with the technology into getting back into the Better Business Bureau account To let you know. When I had the initial issue, I canceled my subscription on the website of Weight Watchers. I have taken a picture of the date They posted this on their website. Now, they are continuing to bill me each month $10 plus tax. I don’t understand why they would continue billing me when I have a receipt showing that my subscription was canceled. I’m guessing when I spoke with the representative from Weight Watchers, she just assumed that I would restart my account but I never did that in any form, Not verbally and not on the website.
I simply want them to stop billing me.
Thank you very much,

This is a 10-month commitment plan, and the final charge for this membership will occur on September 17, 2025, and the membership will officially conclude on October 16, 2025. These dates should also be reflected in his cancellation email.
Please be advised that this case will not be reviewed further as the decision is final.

I was still charged $189 on March 23 even though the medication was no longer available after March 22. Its it clear writing. They have not given me a refund and refuse to cancel my account. I cannot talk to a live person and they only respond via messenger days later. I would like a refund of $189 that I was charged.Business Response
