Just to clarify, your first payment upon subscribing will cover the entirety of your first month of service. Before we can provide any prescription medication, we will need you to upload your medical history. This is similar to the initial paperwork you'd complete at a doctor's office and allows our clinicians to thoroughly review your information. They may also request additional details if necessary. This step is particularly important when considering medication, as it helps us ensure your safety and provide the most appropriate care.
Sincerely, WeightWatchers

On May 8, 2025, I received a message that my Weight Watchers account would be terminated on May 22, 2025 unless I refilled my compounded medication prescription since they were no longer able to provide due to recent court rulings. I did not request a refill so expected my membership to be canceled. On May 22, instead of canceling (which I confirmed would happen-entire account terminated per message in chat-see below) I received a message that my membership was being changed to clinic instead of terminating. I have reached out to Care Team who told me to reach out to the general customer service. The customer service told me I had to reach out to the Care Team. I have received a link to cancel, but that link won't let me cancel until the end of my contract, and it seems like customer service and care team are unable to communicate with each other, so I'm continually getting the run around with no answers. Since they can't fulfill the terms of the contract, I want them to honor the original message that stated that my entire membership would be terminated since they are no longer able to uphold the terms of the contract.Business Response

On April 30 I saw an ad from weight watchers for glp meds for weight loss. I thought it was $49 for the first month and then $$99 for the next two months. I spoke with a lady the next day giving her my health information. It was then that I found out these prices were for a clinic and the meds were extra. I immediately cancelled. This was on May 1. They informed me that even though I cancelled, I would still owe the $ 99 for the next two months. I spoke with someone else but they said the same thing. I signed up for the meds not a clinic and do not feel that I owe them anything.Business Response

The membership fee is essential as it includes several important services. These include a consultation with a clinician, a thorough review of your medical history to ensure your safety, the writing of your prescription by a clinician, and ongoing clinician availability to address any potential side effects you may experience. In addition to these core services, the membership also provides access to other benefits.
While we understand the members frustration, the terms were agreed to. I unknowingly signed up for services from weight watchers international,They no longer can offer services which I have never used. This is since April. They have charged me monthly Although I have requested a cancellation. The monthly charge has varied from over $100 to $74 to $23 to back to $74. They have filed bankruptcy and are facing a class action lawsuit for fraudulent billing.I cancelled my debit card - this company still billed me with the new Debit card number which I did not give them.I am hoping you can help me as I am 73 and I cannot afford this.Business Response

Joined W.W. clinic on 5/7/25. Unfortunately, my wife and I signed up for the year. We signed up because they offered weight loss medication with the monthly fee. After 3 weeks they let us know that they no longer have the medication available and showed us how to purchase it at an extra cost 300 and 400 dollars a month along with their 189-dollar monthly fee. We both canceled our subscription and now they are going to charge us both $189 for the next 11 months. I am sure they no longer have access to the weight loss medication because of them filing for bankruptcy. Which we did not know about until after joining. A very deceitful practice by this company. The amount they will be getting if they get away with this will be ******** by next year. Right now, it is ****** and will go up to ****** a month until 5/26Customer Answer

Had signed up for WW CLINIC. They were unable to provide service I wanted. I asked to stop subscribing and was told NO! We will charge you 180 per month for 12months. I spoke with my bank and they reverse the first charge the third week of May, today I noticed that Weight Watchers has gone in and taking the amount out again even though my bank reversed it! They are saying theyre going to withdraw $180 for checking account on 23 June even though I have told them absolutely not! Being a holiday weekend, I will contact my bank again on however, this is fraudulent charging by Weight Watchers. They are basically robbing my checking account without my permission. Something needs to be done about this!Business Response

I signed up for the WeightWatchers ***** weight loss program under the impression that I would not be charged until I had seen a provider and been prescribed medication. I entered my credit card information to create an account and complete the sign-up process, expecting to be billed only once services were actually rendered. However, I was charged $149 immediately before seeing a provider or receiving any consultation, prescription, or treatment. I never saw or spoke to a provider, never received any medication, and no services were delivered. Despite this, WeightWatchers has refused to refund my money.I have contacted their customer service and explained the situation, but they continue to deny a refund, stating that the charge is non-refundableeven though no part of the service I paid for was ever provided. This feels deceptive and unethical, and I am requesting a full refund for the services I did not receive.Business Response

I was misled into thinking the $84 fee included medication. I later learned it was only the membership fee, which wasnt clearly stated. I also cannot remove my debit card or cancel, despite trying multiple times. This appears to be a pattern with this company, as documented in numerous BBB complaints.Business Response

It is separate. There's no way of knowing how much it costs before choosing subscription
Once you choose one you are locked into that term for 6 months or a year without being able to cancel. I signed up for 6 months thinking I'd get medication and no the medication is $200 a month along with th $84 a month for the membership. I signed up for weight watchers in early April 2025 because I was under the impression based on the ads that I would get 6 months free. I used the app for a week or 2 and it wasn't working for me. I followed their guidelines and gained weight. So I cancelled my membership at the end of April. I thought all was well and good until today 5/23/2025 when I was charged $11. I got in touch with their 24/7 chat and spoke with "*****" who was very snippy right away. She basically said that I misunderstood what I signed up for and too bad so sad. I was told that they will not reverse any charge and will continue to charge me for the entire year despite having cancelled my membership and not using the app. I have never experienced such poor customer service or a company who actively tries to NOT help resolve customer issues.Business Response

Per *** Guidelines/Regulations, the company Weight Watchers cannot work with a compound pharmacy to produce compound *********** since there is no longer a shortage with the parent patent company *************. I canceled a membership with Weight Watchers and their clinic on May 20, 2025. At 11:34 pm that night I even got a confirmation email for it. The next day I was charged $179 for membership fees - for a membership I had cancelled the day before. I was charged for this on May 21, 2025 at 1:18 pm. In every email I get as a receipt for the membership, it say you may cancel and your cancellation will go into effect immediately. Talking with the cumstomer service has led to them suggesting I talk to the care team. These are the folks that deal with my meds and healthcare. I am not able to get them to refund this fee. Please help me, I feel like they are making it impossible to leave and will keep charging me money on something I canceled.Business Response
