In October I received a bill from central Hudson for one amount, two weeks later another bill came with a higher amount I paid it thinking I was late on the payment so it would be for two months then in November my bill came for a certain amount and a week later I go to pay the bill it said I owed three times the amount I was billed for . I called to ask for information on why my bill jumped three times higher and was told by one girl that it was for two months of service I asked to speak to a manager who was busy and called me back later that evening he said hed email a detailed bill (that was actually mailed to me) and hed call back in a few days .. that was two weeks ago and I never heard back . The detailed bill says I owe over $800 In delivery fees for electric and $600 In delivery fees for gas!! For the past year I have lived in my house ..how is this possible with paying my monthly bills every month!! Please help!!Initial Complaint

I have filed for a J-number for Central Hudson to come and inspect the different meters that are in my rental property. Currently they are telling my tenants that they cannot put the electric bill in their own name because there is too many kW hours on their meter. This is simply not true and I have had an electrician confirm this. Central Hudson simply needs to come and inspect the meters so that I can get the bill to my tenant. It has been 3 weeks and they have made no attempt to contact me.Initial Complaint

Central Hudson has been charging me insane bills. I just received a bill for 745 dollars. I called and received no help. Literally saying thats the bill. No! Its not! I was in ** for two weeks and have NEVER received a bill that high. Before that bill I didnt receive a bill for months. I called and finally they sent me those bills which I paid back to back. This is insane. I submit my readings as much as possibly ** central Hudson cannot be trusted. Now I hear they are going to get fined for their mismanagement but am I getting my money back?! Are we the custom who were forced to pay these crazy bills going to get reimbursed for what we were charged incorrectly? I want my money back.Initial Complaint

Central Hudson charged me for ***** kWh in November for total bill of $911.04. ***** kWh is the HIGHEST amount of kWh I have used over the last 12 months, exceeding kWh hours used each month of last winter's heating season. They would not address the issue with on the phone after waiting for 90 minutes to talk to a representative. I would like the meter usage reviewed and bill adjusted.Customer Answer

I have paid CHG&E $1400 for the period of Sept 2021 thru July 2022. They have only credited me with payments of $898. When I call they provide me with different excuses and NO resolution. They say it will take 14 days or it's a ticket for the billing ***** I first contacted them on 8/12 and they still have not resolved my bill. They have also confirmed that they did receive $1400. Central Hudson estimates our monthly bills and does not show up on scheduled months when the meter is to be read. Also, they are overcharging on a business that was closed a year ago - I get no help from customer service - there should be a class action lawsuit against this businessCustomer Answer

Central Hudson for last billing period 19Oct2022 claimed I used 19,657kwh and charged on my autopay credit card the amount of $3,166.63 After complaining, my bill was readjusted to $172.05 with the $3233.78 credit in my favor on my account summary removed. The funds that I overpaid was wiped out and never got the $3,166.63 returned to my credit card.I am tired of Central Hudson's broken promises of refunding my money.Customer Answer

Central Hudson has an open case file but has failed to reply to my many attempts to reach them via email and phone going on months now. Central Hudson provided inaccurate solar credits from my solar production over the summer months. I monitor the Tesla solar system with a highly accurate electric data monitoring service, EGuage. Central Hudson is not crediting my solar gain accurately and I need some form of recourse to fix the issue. Perhaps providing a repaired or replaced meter, amongst any other possible solutions. I have attached screenshots of the EGuage metering app data for the past 3 months and the past 6 months showing the substantial solar production which should be reflected as a credit on my Central Hudson bill..Initial Complaint

I have my account past years set to Budget Billing but a few months ago I have enrolled for Community Distributed Generation (CDG) credits which are covering most of my bills so I have decided to unenroll from Budget Billing because I have overpaid for something that Central Hudson is not providing anymore. I have opened a support ticket for that purpose twice and twice they have disabled that option but then have it re-enabled again and sent me a bill to pay the Budget Billing amount anyway when my utility bill was even negative (I had a credit). Recently I have even called them but the person behind the phone was blaming their billing system for the glitch and to be sure it will take place I need to wait another 3-4 weeks.Initial Complaint
