      On May 21, 2025 I reached out to Rumpke about an issue I had with being delivered the wrong size dumpster when I started service with them. I had specifically asked for the smallest dumpster they offer, and my bill was very high. On May 21, 2025 my call was to try to resolve this issue. I had had to call in to ask them to deliver a smaller dumpster after the original one was there and was also charged a delivery fee for that as well. The first dumpster delivery fee was approximately 60 some dollars. The second dumpster delivery fee was approximately 48 dollars. I had the dumpster for around a month when I was asked why I had such a large dumpster at my house by a family member, and they informed me that they have a much smaller size that has two lift up doors instead of four (the much larger one I received initially). The day I called I was informed that I needed to be contacted by the agent who had initially given the dumpster to me whose name was Nick R*****. He had been sent correspondence to contact me no later than tomorrow (May 22, 2025). I did not hear from Nick the following day. I called again at 9:11 am on May 23, 2025 to try to speak with Nick, and I was unable to get ahold of him again. I gave it a few more days and over the Memorial Day weekend for him to contact me. I also waited today until close of business to receive a call, and I still have heard nothing from him. My bill is currently at 295 dollars and I cannot even be contacted by the agent that helped me in a timely manner. Rumpke is the only trash service provider in our entire county, so it isn't as if I can just change my provider.

      My personal residence has been missed for recycling collection. I called Rumpke to ask if a credit had been issued to my account or to see if they were aware of the missed service. I was told they were not aware of any missed service and was instructed that the only way they were aware of a missed service is by the customer reaching out to their customer service. Rumpke has no problem charging me for service yet there is no accountability on their part or the part of the collection drivers to perform the service. In other words, I am charged for their service regardless of them actually performing the service and it is the problem of the customer to notify them if the service has not been completed. They have no checks and balances process in place to ensure that they are performing the service they are charging customers for. This seems to be toeing the line of fraudulent business activity and is severely concerning to me. Rumpke and their employees need to be aware of the service they are/aren't providing and take accountability when they do not provide the appropriate service and be proactive in providing refunds or resolution when they are unable to provide trash/recycling service.

      They were supposed to pick up my trash on May 16, 2025. Never showed up. Left a message on May 17th, got a return call May 19th. They said they would send a message to the driver to have it picked up. No show. Called again May 20th. Same thing. I called a total of 4 times. They never showed up. May 23, 2025 was the next normal pickup. Never showed up, again. My trash has been sitting now for 2 weeks, and they are making no attempt to rectify the situation. I am paid up until the end of June. If they don't want to pick it up, they should give me a refund.

      This is a trash company bills me even though I do not live at the property, ( this has happen 3 times now.)
      They send me on the bill (Legal Fee / ********** county) on the bill . there has been no legal action yet. Now they will try to pass the buck to the county. I will be contacting the Governor of the state.

      Rumpke’s contract with
      ********** County Fiscal court states that service is mandatory to all
      residential and commercial customers in ********** County.  Per the
      County’s Solid Waste Ordinance as it pertains to the mandatory participation of
      all residents and commercial entities as outlined in House Bill 174. 

      Therefore, Rumpke cannot
      discontinue the service at *** ************* request.  We would suggest
      that *** ************ contacts ********** County Fiscal Court to discuss
      options with the County.

      We are a commercial customer on autopay with a credit card on file for trash service. On 12/19/2024, we were billed $314.36, which included a charge of approx. $165 for an extra dumpster pickup that was never completed. We had called multiple times requesting the pickup, but it was never done. After over a week with no service—and with our regular pickup scheduled the next day—we called again and canceled the extra pickup. Despite this, the charge remained.

      We called Rumpke’s 800 number, but were unable to get the issue resolved, so we had to escalate the matter to a local representative just to get a response.

      No other invoice was received until 2/5/2025, showing a balance of $135.65. A later 4/1/2025 invoice showed: $138.11 current, $136.01 over 30, $135.65 over 60, and a $68.33 credit over 90 days—but the credit was never applied to reduce our current balance. We believe this credit may be the remainder of the $165 charge, which should have been applied to our account, but appears to have been mishandled in their billing system.

      We have contacted the company multiple times by phone and email requesting a full itemized breakdown of charges, credits, and payments. We received no clear explanation, and email attempts have not resulted in any actual assistance or resolution.

      In April 2025, we made an additional payment on an amount Rumpke claimed autopay hadn’t covered, despite no notice of failed payment. We have since received collection calls and letters threatening service interruption. One agent even offered to transfer us to cancellation when we requested billing corrections.

      We previously raised concerns over bi-monthly rate increases, and the rate was temporarily reduced after our complaint. However, it was raised again without notice, which violates the contract's requirement for rate-change notification.

      We want the billing corrected, our rate reviewed and adjusted, and the terms of our contract properly followed.

      Rumpke did not pick up my trash or bulk waste as scheduled. There was nothing in the way to keep them from removing or picking up trash. I live between two houses. My ring doorbell shows them drive by 4 times without picking it up. They picked up neighbors trash on both sides of me but slipped my address and this is not the first time. When this happens I have to continuously call to telling them over and over to pick up the items, by the time they pick up, it’s now time for the next schedule pick up. My city gives us a citation if our trash cans are still on the curb over the weekend regardless if trash is picked up or not. This has gained multiple times.

      I called rumpke on Dec 9th at 12:59 pm when I seen online that rumpke would be taking over *******. The lady that answered the phone from rumpke informed me that my service was paid up to Dec 31st, 2024. So I canceled my service that day and was told my last pick up was on Dec. 31st 2024. Then in February I was sent a $32 bill from rumpke for a service that was not provided. I've never had rumpke service . I was just finishing out my month that I already paid to the business they bought it from.

      I canceled my service with Rumpke on 3/12/2025 because they had missed the majority of my pickups for the year and it has been an ongoing problem for the 5 years of service with them. They still owed me a credit of $29.32 because it is a pro rated bill. I asked them to cancel my service and credit my bank account the money due. The following week I was actually charged in the next billing cycle because they neglected to tell me that canceling my service didnt cancel my autopay that i had set with them I called back, they issued a credit for the $76.27. After 10 days the money was not deposited so i reached out again and was told the money was on a check that had been sent. on 4/10 I received a check for the $76.27 only. I reached back out and they said that it was coming on a second check. I have called now 3 times since last week and they just keep telling me that the credit was requested and they are waiting on billing to release the payment but they cant reach billing nor will they allow me to speak with someone.
