      In reviewing the previous posts regarding this company, little is left to be said! I love the comment toward the bottom from Rumpke instructing someone to call customer service. Their hands are tied regarding service issues. The upper management recently made a terrible decision to change the pickup day, our trash has not been picked up on the scheduled day for going on 6 weeks. If ******** wasn't so ridiculously expensive, I would have already changed.

      Disappointed with Rumpke Customer Service. I have been a loyal customer for 3 years and have no complaints about pick up. Due to price increases and fees, I decided to change to a local trash company who offers the same service for nearly 1/2 the price. I contacted Rumpke via email a month ago indicating I wanted to cancel and to ask what measures needed to be taken to close my account, and received an email response asking why I wanted to cancel and confirm that I had paid for the upcoming quarter. This representative took it upon herself to close my account on the day she received my email and did not inform me it had been closed, nor that I had to place my container out for pick up at the end of the service period. Today I called customer service to cancel my services because I received another invoice, and lo and behold, it had already been cancelled!! If my account had been cancelled why was I not informed and receiving an invoice? How would I have known to place my container out at the end of the service period, and if I did not follow this instruction, they would charge me $50?! The phone respresentative was very short with me, unfriendly, and seemed bothered by my questioning. Poor communication. Glad to be moving on.

      This is ridiculous. Our dumpster hasnt been dumped for the second week now. Its completely full and I cant dump my trash. This is unacceptable. Every single day we have called and been told we will pick it up the next day. Today I watched the dump truck pass my farm, flagged him down and he said he was doing the one side and would come up and do the next side. Never came back. So whats the deal? Im paying for a service you arent providing. Weve already spoken to multiple people on the phone and costumer service. Im starting to see why the reputation is so low and the turnover rate so high! Complete Incompetency!!!! Two weeks! Whats the excuse? Where is the communication problem in your company and why cant you guys get it together?

      Rumpke is not a responsible or responsive organization. They failed to pick up my trash bins containing broken branches from a fallen tree limb. They left no explanation. When I called Rumpke customer service, I was told that the driver complained that the branches in the bins were too long. That had never been a problem with Waste Management, our city's previous waste hauler. I was told that if I cut the branches down, they would be picked up with the trash "as a courtesy". I did so, but Rumpke again failed to pick up the branches. I called Rumpke customer service again; this time, no explanation was offered for the gross dereliction of duty. I was told that I needed to wait 5 days for Rumpke's next scheduled pick up. I cannot clear the remaining debris from my lawn until my trash bins are emptied. Rumpke offers poor performance backed by unhelpful customer service.

      I wouldnt even give them the one star but what choice do I have. These overpaid lazy people operate a claw to pick up a trash can and proceed to put it down right in front of someones driveway so they cannot pull their car in after coming home from a long days work. *** was notorious for the same thing and this just proves that my city got what they paid for when they switched over to these losers. Hire some people with some work ethic that will actually do what they are supposed to since you are overpaying the worthless ones you have working for you now.

      the service is very unreliable they pick anytime 5AM thru 5PM we are on a state rt. in a rural area lot of wild animals to get into the trash and a lot of fast move traffic. I called when we saw that the neighbor directly across the Street Called them 2 times June 30th, and again on July 3rd they wanted us to leave trash out by the road all holiday weekend. we were bringing the trash in at night and putting it back out in the morning. Did this for 5 days over the holiday week. the truck showed up this morning before we had a chance to get it out by the busy road. many times, the animals have gotten into the bags and made a mess. We had to clean up after Rumpke picked up they never pick up the mess the animals make. because of the holiday normal pick up is delayed until Saturday 8th. that means we have to keep the bags of trash for 8 days past the pick-up. just paid the bill for the next 3 months DISGUSTED.

      Terrible customer service. Negative attitude right from the start. Stopped setting trash out after March. Kept sending me a bill, finally canceled via email in early June, but they pro rated the bill and I had to pay for 2 months of service that I didn't benefit from. Wouldn't listen to my concerns. Very argumentative. Need to get better customer service people. Need different trash service, they are terrible.

      Rumpke is HORRIBLE! We pay for trash service and they charge extra for every little thing just to be abused by their customer service. The workers are LAZY and will not do their jobs. Many times, I have gone to pick up the can to find it's not actually empty. Last week, I found a permanent sticky note stuck to the can lid with a snarky note, DO NOT PUT THE CAN OUT WITH THE HANDLE FACING THE WRONG WAY. Well, I am disabled and can only pull the can across the gravel, I cannot turn it around; it is physically impossible for me with the way the driveway is and the road and my body the way it works. Today, the trash was supposed to be picked up and they did not pick it up at all. I called to complain and, first of all, they have an 800-number they want you to call, but it doesn't work, you push the buttons and it just repeats the menu options over and over again. So I finally found a local number and I called and spoke to two people and they told me that because I put a box on top of the can, they didn't have to pick it up. I explained that it was a small box, and I did that because if you don't do that, they just leave it and won't even pick it up. Incidentally, I have left things on top of the cans many, many times, and it was never a problem before. Instead of apologizing or trying to fix the problem, they kept saying it was my fault. Furthermore, they refuse to pick up my trash, so I have a full can out there now, and they want it to stay there for another week. She said I could take it to the landfill. But because of my disability, I cannot drive. I've been growing more and more dissatisfied with Rumpke, but this is the worst. They clearly DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER! They need to APOLOGIZE to ME and then pick up the trash today, like we PAY them to do!

      RUMPKE'S PRICING IS OUTRAGEOUS. We live in ******* Township, and they were charging us $132.00 every quarter. We switch and are paying nearly half that now from another company. They charge ridiculous fees. We had our can 10 feet from the curb, and the driver won't even stop unless its sitting at the edge or in the road. LAZY! We've had Rumpke since it was called LAND MARK, and LAND MARK was awesome - but when RUMPKE took over, the service declined and the prices kept going up. It should NOT take and average of $10 a week to have your trash removed. GO ELSEWHERE.

However, diesel fuel, which is what most of our fleet runs on, costs more than unleaded gas largely because of new standards requiring blends that work to reduce emissions and pollution. It is important to note that Rumpke's fuel surcharge fluctuates, so as prices decrease elements of the fuel charge will go down. We do this as a benefit for our customers, rather than passing a permanent, fuel-related price increase. If you have any further questions, please give us a call at **************. Thank you.

      Customer service is a joke here. They treat everyone like they have a Monopoly. $10.00 more a month than other trash service in the area? Taking my business and the whole neighborhood elsewhere
