Hello *******, we are sorry to hear about your experience. We are not able to give unlimited life time access to our system after an account is closed. When we close an account, we have a signed contract stating that the client needs to download any information they need and allow a month to do so. If the needed information is not downloaded we have extended access that we can ****** Please email ******************************************** and we will be more than happy to send a quote!Review fromA. BEWARE! If you become a former client of Paycor, they will ignore you if you need help with an issue at the time of service. They only department available to assist is the Deactivation team and they ONLY communicate via email. There is absolutely no way to speak to someone on the phone. If you call Paycor, your only options are current client support or the sales team. The sales team could care less about helping or escalating the ticket. We requested help for an issue and it took OVER A MONTH to get a response. Even reaching out to direct contacts were were ignored and no one said they could really do anything to help. Their process for former clients abhorrent and convoluted and we will NEVER use or recommend them to any one ever again.Paycor, Inc.

We're sorry to hear that you had a negative experience with our support team as a former client. We take all feedback seriously, and we apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced. We do have a separate team dedicated to assisting former clients with issues, and we understand that email communication may not always be the most efficient or satisfactory way to resolve an issue. We are committed to continually improving our processes and will take your feedback into consideration.A. S.

If you take feedback seriously and want to improve your processes as you so claim, here is my advice. Allow the deactivation team the ability to speak on the phone. I was told that he authorized rep could just sent an email and have additional contacts added. However, I was later told a contradicting statement that "due to the age of this account and that it is coded as lost, we are unable to add any other contacts to this account." Allow for a better process for former clients otherwise they will be certain to never return and discourage potential clients from going to you. It is absolutely ridiculous.Review fromS. S.

Paycor was great when we started using them in 2017, but we have been noticing the difference in their services in 2021/2022. We stopped using Paycor in December 2022 for that reason (which was not easy to terminate their services with all the run around we got), and when we terminated their services, we were told that our employees would have access to their paystubs and tax documents for 12 months. Our employees have been trying to retrieve their W2 to do their taxes, but we no longer have access to them as employees. They are impossible to get a hold of someone to speak to, and when I email their deactivation team and open a case, I'm getting replies saying that we need to pay $100 month to restore access. I do not recommend Paycor if you want to keep your sanity.Paycor, Inc.

I'm sorry to hear that you had a negative experience with Paycor. We strive to provide exceptional service to all of our clients, and we're disappointed to hear that we fell short of your expectations in 2021/2022.Regarding your termination process, we apologize for any inconvenience or frustration you may have experienced. We understand that terminating services can be challenging, and we will certainly take your feedback into consideration as we work to improve our processes. In terms of accessing your employees' W2 forms, we understand how important it is for your employees to have access to their tax documents. While we do provide access to paystubs and tax documents for 12 months after service termination, it appears there may have been a miscommunication about how to access these documents. I have escalated your account with leadership on our service team and they will be reaching out shortly to assist.S. S.
Date: 03/24/2023
I have yet to hear back from Paycor regarding how to access these documents. Only communication I received was that I can pay for extended access. Not sure when we have to pay for extended access when we are supposed to have access to paystubs and tax documents for 12 months after service termination. Also we were invoiced and debited via ACH for Paycor Recruiting Pro in February 2023. We haven't used Paycor since December 2022. We need the refund for these charges ASAP. This is ridiculous that you cannot speak to anyone at Paycor regarding issues because there is no phone support for former Paycor clients. I will expect someone to contact me as soon as possible to take care of the charges and to give us access to our tax documents and previous pay stubs.Paycor, Inc.

So hard to get ahold of any one at the company. Takes 2-4 weeks to respond to a ticket - if they respond at all. We are no longer their customer and trying to get ahold of anyone is even harder! Hasnt sent my company a copy of the W2's or W3 or Quarter 4 tax packet. Sales wont help either.Paycor, Inc.

Paycor is the worst! Zero customer service. Haven’t received a return call in years. Switched to a new company in January after being with Paycor gor 10 long miserable years. DO NOT USE PAYCOR! You will be DISAPPOINTED. NO ACCOUNTABILITY. To many complaints to itemize. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!! One broken promise after another. No dedicated account managers. Each department is pieced out. Right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing. Over billed us over and over!!! They care more about having their name on a stadium than their customers. Most disrespectful company I have ever encountered.Paycor, Inc.

Switching to Paycor is the WORST mistake I've ever made. The Implementation Specialist we had was terrible and trying to get Support on the telephone is impossible. Upon receiving our W-2 forms, we discovered they were incorrect for employees who had our healthcare plan because the deductions were mislabeled as a taxable reimbursement. After providing Paycor a spreadsheet of exact corrections that should be made, it took them 17 working days to respond with an email stating that I needed to sign an agreement to pay a ridiculous amount of money for the corrections and that it would take 7 - 10 working days for the corrections to be completed. A week later, I received another email stating that it will take 10 - 15 working days for the corrected W-2 forms to be completed, and 6 - 8 weeks for an amended tax return to be completed. SO...from the time I provided Paycor with the corrections that needed to be made, it will take a minimum of 7 weeks for new W-2 forms. This is UNACCEPTABLE. After only 6 months with Paycor, we are switching to a new provider.Paycor, Inc.

Hello ******, we are sorry to hear you felt you did not have a good experience. Because Paycor is not a legal tax advisor it is the responsibility of the client to ensure that tax setup and deductions are correctly set up. Of course, we are happy to assist and provide resources. We also apologize for the timeline; however, we are unable to speed up the process due to the **** We do not set their timelines or have any control over their acceptance of amended returns. I became a Paycor customer back in 2019 and at the beginning this was a great company. After going public, our basic payroll bundle doubled in price (we do not use any HR management, PTO tracking, 401k, nothing - simply a weekly payroll). We did start paying 1099 contractor employees via Paycor's system which is where my biggest issues came in. When you go to add a contractor, you have to check a box marking them as a contractor which any reasonable person would figure would categorize their pay as ******** pay.
When I called in due to receiving blank W-2s (zero dollars reported) for each of my 5 independent contractors (instead of 1099s), the lady assured me it was a software issue on Paycor's end and would be rectified immediately and I would be receiving my 1099's via expedited shipping. After 2 weeks I still had not received anything. When I called back in to address this, I was told I would have to pay $1,000 to have this fixed as (unbeknownst to me) you have to go in and add in a special pay code to assign to the 1099 Independent Contractors as Paycor's system defaults them to taxable earnings but doesn't actually withhold tax?
It is now March (I called mid to late January to begin with), and after 4+ calls in to customer service, I've been repeatedly assured a call back regarding my concerns and have yet to have any phone call, emails, or any other communication. I have since handled my own 1099s since Paycor seems to be more interested in charging its customers fees rather than providing good customer service. My most recent call I simply wanted an address to send my dilemma to one of the officers of the company and the representative stated they were unable to provide this to me.
I had previously referred a number of customers to Paycor but with how terribly I've been treated through this, I'm now recommending people drop Paycor. It is quite clear how little Paycor actually cares about its customers - prime example of going public gone wrong.Paycor, Inc.

Hi ******, because Paycor is not a legal tax advisor we are unable to make official tax recommendations or change tax information for you. Of course, we are happy to assist and provide resources, but taxes are the responsibility of the client as stated in your service agreement. We are truly sorry to hear about your experience with customer service. We have recently added a 31% increase in our service staff to alleviate any delays you may experience. If there is anything outstanding, please email us at ******************************** so that we can look into the problem!D. S.

Per our contract with Paycor, If as a result of an error or omission made by Paycor in performing the ********** Services hereunder, an applicable taxing authority imposes a penalty on or assesses interest against Client, Paycor will pay all penalties and interest to the extent resulting from Paycors error or omission. In any such case, Client shall be responsible for all additional taxes and any other interest charges. We do have the tax filing service with Paycor. Paycor admitted to the filing error being a software issue on our end and assured me this will be corrected and ****s will be expedited to you. I have also requested a copy of this phone recording from Paycor who has denied my requests as I believe they are trying to cover this sort of situation up and compel their clients to pay extra fees which if Paycor is willing to pay taxing authority penalties and interest on their errors, they should surely cover their in-house expenses with regards to their errors and should furthermore adhere to and honor their commitments to clients once made.Review fromGerri D

STAY AWAY!! Pay core is the absoulte WORST!! Nonexistent customer support or service. When they make errors they will blame and try to charge you to fix. If you can get them to fix the error at all. 2022 pay stubs that the Paycore implementation specialist set up were wrong. We had to work for months to correct the pay stubs, then they sent W2's that are wrong. Have been hounding them for weeks to correct and send new W2's. Still no corrected W2's adn we continue to get the runaround.
Do yourself and your company the biggest favor of your life and DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!!Paycor, Inc.

Hi *****, we are sorry to hear about your experience. Because Paycor is not a legal tax advisor, correct tax set up is the responsibility of the client. UPDATE
Paycor set up the taxes incorrectly, not us and you have been unwilling to correct your error. Your customer service is abysmal. When I wrote a review detailing Paycore wrote a response that had nothing to do with my complaint. EVERYONE read all of the reviews and complaints against this company. SAVE YOURSELF. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE FOR AYTHING!!!!

Glitchy Inaccurate Software with Terrible Support
Extremely unprofessional service and support. Software often breaks, has glitches, and frequently does not act in the way it should.
I cannot trust this platform to deliver the services we are paying for and when it comes to payroll, employee benefits, tax compliance, and time tracking. There is no room for error in this business - people's paychecks depend on it.
When issues do arise, the customer support staff is not helpful - they do not understand the problem, nor take the time to understand the problem. They do not provide helpful resolutions, they generally exit the chat or tell you that someone else will need to handle it, but never see anything through to resolution. You have to email several times about the same support ticket to get any type of help and usually they do not provide help, they simply stop replying.
The software that should be integrated like scheduling, 401K support, PTO accruals, etc are not actually linked. You have to set them all up separately and they properly sync with only intermittent success. They even removed their API and no longer support it.
I do not recommend this company at this time. If someone would return my call or fix my issues, I'd happily change my review.
At this point - I cannot give a good rating to this company and I strongly urge anyone else considering this platform to go with a different company.
What they promise you up front and what they deliver are two completely different experiences.Paycor, Inc.
