I currently work as a Sanitation Manager for a citrus packing house. We acquired services from Cintas back in Oct 2022 and ever since then all the way up to the service cancellation on May 2023, we have had nothing but unresolved issues, mainly with invoices. Unauthorized charges being applied to our invoices. Adding additional loss fees that were supposed to be included on the initial pricing per unit, months after the service was started etc. The unresolved issues and lack of professionalism is what drove us to end our services with Cintas. Its been 2 weeks since we ended the service and they still have not picked up the cleaning rags they would provide us weekly. I have reached out to the service manager for our account and it feels like they just don't care for customers concerns. It's been 2 weeks since I last spoke to the service manager and have not heard from him at all. Honestly we are just tired of always having to be the ones reaching out to them regarding the update on this unresolved issues. They are very good at sweet talking you, telling you what you want to hear but never delivering on their promisesBusiness Response

Cintas (Aka Cintas The Uniform People) and I had a contract since 5/25/2010 contract #****. On approximately January 2018 to lower my pricing Cintas asked me to sign a new contract #*****. On the last contract deliveries were perfect with the driver being Louie. Our driver was suddenly laid-off and replaced with a less than acceptable driver. Almost every delivery we would have to ask for a short delivery from the previous week or towels that were damaged.
On approximately October 1, 2022 Cintas driver (name unknown) neglected to deliver linens necessary to operate the restaurant. I called Cintas many times, left voice mails and verbal messages with customer service. On October 4, 2022 a Violia (?) who helped me log into my account where I made payment in full to Cintas. Without warning, My service rep at the time Brian Lee made the decision to cancel my deliveries. My restaurant went 2 weeks with no deliveries.
Our of necessity I contacted another company for service. They immediately delivered product that day. As it turned out, the new company’s prices are 1//3 the price of Cintas and better quality of product.
Some weeks after the above Cintas incident manager, Jaclyn M****** started calling me explaining the past service rep (Brian L**) was fired and I would have a new service rep. I explained another company had been retained for lines services. Jaclyn continued wanting my business back. A few months ago the legal team for Cintas sent me a registered letter with intent to sue for the remaining contract. I responded to the lawyer with proof of contract, reasoning for canceling based on failure to provide service and proof (via certified mail) to cancel my contract with Cintas.
Approximately 45 days passed and no contact from Cintas. On May 17, 2023 Jaclyn M****** called me and verbally threatened to proceed with legal action. I asked her to send me a copy of the current contract. After reviewing the contract I realized Jaclyn neglected 100% honesty. She failed to acknowledge I was a customer since 2010. I took proper process to cancel CintasCustomer Answer

We started using Cintas thinking that is would make things easier with our company, we have two location. I meet with a sales agent and explained our business. They said that the sales agent and service manager would stop in to talk and explain everything before service would start. The next week after I could no longer get ahold of anyone with the company. We finally had someone come out and install equipment. We got our first bill and they were charging us for service without even coming. Then going through the invoices we started getting charged for thing that they didn't do. Giving us amounts of things that would take months to year to use. At one location we currently have about 5 gals of sanitizer. They charged us for mop head that didn't get changed for three week, mats not onsite. Left 2-3 boxes of paper towels and toilet paper. When I asked about canceling they told me it would be my average bill cut in half for the remaining contract even though I feel like they are not correctly fulfilling the contract. I tried 1.5 month ago to contact the service manager and then didnt get any calls back. Then after two weeks got a call, they said they would look into the situation and call me back the following week, that was over a month ago with nothing. I sent emails with no response.Business Response

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and for the opportunity to improve our service model for your businesses. The Cintas Service Manager for the two accounts involved, met with the owner on 5/18/2023 to discuss his concerns and a path forward for both locations. We acknowledge that there were some communication issues due to the departure of his original Cintas representative prior to the accounts installing. Neither party was able to successfully contact the other to coordinate the details of the weekly service to be provided. This resulted in Cintas attempting to service the customer when nobody was available at the customer's place of business. This was also during the holiday season, which added to the timing issues and additional product being left for the customer that was not needed. Credits have been applied to the customer's accounts for unused product and dates when we were unable to make contact with the customer as appropriate. Now that solid lines of communication have been established, it is our sincere desire to work within the customer's schedule, and according to their needs/budget to provide the world-class service they expect from us.Customer Answer

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below. After the service manager came out, I explained the issues and said that due being billed for no service at the beginning, then not getting the service expected from cintas to witch he agreed with. I wanted these accounts closed. He said he would contact me this week after talking with his boss and that he had the account on hold and I wouldn’t receive new bills till this was resolved or closed. Today I looked at the account online and to my surprise they started charging me again without a truck even trying to do service. I don’t trust that we will be treated correctly in the future and would like these account closed.

Hello,
Im writing again to file a complaint against Cintas Corporation and their practices and failure to resolve my last complaint.
I am being charged for a rental mat product that I do not want and a invoice minimum. I have asked to be taken off completely as a customer but they refuse as I unknowingly signed a 5 year contract. I am a small business that has barely made it out of covid and I would have NEVER signed on to a deal like this. A five year contract for some bathroom supplies? Its a bully company that sneaks this in and refuses to take into account anything but their "signed contract". I can see if this was a huge business utilizing many products but I am not. Two products that are over priced and a invoice minimum. If they're to make me pay this minimum I would like to not pay for air. At least bring product or suggest product. So sleazy.Business Response

Our company Country Club Brewing, started account with Cintas in Jan 2023. It is now May and we have not recieved any services. We are being charged a weekly amount but with zero service. We have made several calls to customer service and the local branch regarding this and nothing has been resolved. Spoke with multiple service reps and they state they will forward to service manager but no one ever address our concerns. Reps do state they can see the multiple calls from us but unsure as to why no one is returning our call. Yet we are being charged every week for service we do not get.Business Response

On 9/16/22, after specifically being asked, Cintas rep. Mike D************ verbally confirmed service could be stopped at any time & unwanted product would never be left.
Installation goal of 10/15/22 was missed by Cintas leaving us without toilet paper & paper towel holders, as well as product on our Grand Opening day.
Didn’t have the paper towels or toilet paper we signed up for at installation. We were left with open partial cases & charged for full cases of what we were supposed to receive. Also left 1 bottle of hand soap but charged for 3.
2 custom mats are supposed to be rotated out weekly. We were charged before we had them, charged for swap outs that never happened & for a 3rd mat that was never ordered.
Our driver laughed when I discussed stopping service. Said, “Yes, I could stop at any time but that I’d have to buy out my contract”. This conversation was the 1st mention of a contract that involved a set amount of time.
Currently, I have six bottles of hand soap on hand with only 1 restroom using it, but I still keep getting new bottles every visit.
Last month I was left soap that I didn’t need, but no toilet paper which we were out of. Cintas toilet paper holders won’t hold anyone else’s toilet paper, so I’ve had to use stand-alone holders for the past month.
This was supposed to be a service that saved me time and energy as a business owner. It has been one poor experience after another with the people and the products. Cintas Cust. Svc. has been an awful loop of unaccountability & unresponsiveness. I’ve been flat out lied to by my sales rep., laughed at by my driver & ignored by the G.M.
I will own that, during a crazy build out, I took Mr. D************** word that I could stop at any time & electronically signed on a small device something I should have had printed out and sat down with, but what Cintas is doing is just wrong! Currently Coty R***** is attempting to require $1840 to terminate our agreement.

BECAUSE OF MY ACCOUNT BEING ON AUTO PAY, I DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE FIRST HOWEVER MANY MONTHS THEY IGNORED ME BUT I WILL NOT PAY FOR THE LAST THREE WEEKS THAT WE DID NOT EVEN USE THEIR STUFFBusiness Response

We are a police department and have been trying to cancel our contract with Cintas for several months now. Each time we contact the company they either don't answer at all or send us in a loop to another agent. We use Cintas for a mat cleaning service. They haven't cleaned the mats in our building for over a year now. We are not seeking money back at this point, just to cancel the service. If we do not receive a response from the business this way, we will seek another legal route.
Beware of this company! Terrible service, customer service, and impossible to cancel. They deleted our online account so we could not take the service off of auto pay. Overall, very deceitful.Business Response
