On 06/14/24 I took my Camry to have a tire looked at for a possible nail or damage. I made an appointment days in advance. After dropping my car off, I was later called by the Assistant Manager ****************************************** explaining she personally decided she would no longer repair tires for us because we refused to buy tires from them since 2018. She says in the future she will charge us $20. I asked her for the policy in writing and she stated "I have made the decision and I put it in your notes since you won't buy tires from us. Free repairs are for customers." The policy clearly states "Free of charge" and nothing about being a customer. We have purchased other services on our multiple cars. ****** has no business being an assistant anything. She speaks softly as though she is controlling a bad situation. She makes it worse and is anything but management.Business Response

We regret that ****************** had a negative experience with the ******** and Norco ******, ********** Les Schwab Tire Centers. We take customer reports seriously and work diligently to immediately address customer concerns.
As the customers report and screenshot states, Les Schwabs advertisement specifically states that we repair "most" tires at no charge. Les Schwab repairs tires purchased through our stores for free as part of our Best Tire Value Promise warranty, but our management teams do have the discretion to charge to repair tires on non-Les Schwab tires. Since 2018, we have repaired 12 flat tires for ******************, all at no charge. In that time, we have also recommended and quoted tires on four different occasions (quotes listed on his account) and the customer has not purchased a single product or service from Les Schwab. We offer complimentary flat repairs to customers as a courtesy in the hopes of earning their business.
Although Les Schwab respectfully disagrees with the allegations in ******************** report, we would like to assure ****************** that Les Schwab remains committed to providing the best service and products possible.Initial Complaint

This account # ******** which is not a credit card account but is being reported as such on my credit bureau files is severely affecting my credit score. This account was opened by ********************** after I went to purchase tires from their shop and my original ******** **** wheels were stolen and replaced by their staff. My new tires were to cover the theft of my original vehicle rims, but I was later charged a balance. I have reached out to Les Schwab representatives several times to settle this account for the amount of $1571, and I have been insulted, cursed, and threatened with further damage to my credit report, if I do not pay an additional amount of $1292.34 in fees by their collection agency, ********************** Group **************, for a total in excess of $2863.34. I would like to settle this account for the original amount owed $1500, and have this account removed from my credit bureau files. I am rejecting this response because: my car trunk is way to small to put all 4 tires and that was never offered. Instead they kept my tires and lied. According to them my tires were stolen out of their bay garage. When I confronted them about the issues thats when things went left. I am not responsible for the balance their asking for and this is a bit ridiculous. I paid for rims that wasnt even as good as the rims I had but because I had a low profile car and I drove a lot I had to purchase these. Please take this off my account as soon as possible as their story dont make sense and before they do other customers the same. Respectfully
Sincerely,

I got my car serviced at les Schwab tire center in *******************. Prior to the service all parts/bolts that came with the car were on the car. After my car was serviced they kept bolts that go onto the car. The last customer service rep I spoke to about my payments informed me that as long as Im paying something towards my bill the account will be in good standing and will remain open. When I asked about them the missing bolts for my car the service rep said that until I paid off my bill there was nothing he would do for me . I called another location and they informed me that was not practice or protocol for the company. All parts that were on prior should have been put back on.Business Response

On May 30th, we took our 2018 GMC Denali in because it was squealing and knew that it was the indicator that our brakes needed to be replaced. The Manager himself told us that the brakes were good and that it was our control arms and ball joints were basically ready to fall off. $2200 to fix. He proceeds to make ** feel as if our truck cannot be driven for a possible second opinion. Lucky not lucky our extended warranty covered $935. Out of pocket $1268. They called ** the morning of June 2nd to tell ** to come pick it up. The truck is still squeaking!!!! This is where it gets bad. What!!!! We brought it in and told them it was the brakes they say they are good. Apparently, the pads are now at 2MM. Wow, that is crazy. We pay and the truck is still broken! Did someone not test drive it and or make sure the noise was gone after they charged me $2200? No, they did not or they would have heard the truck still squealing. They now want to charge us another $472. UMMMMM! The Manager tells the guy to give us a $75 coupon. The Manager doesn't even come to the lobby to talk to my husband. Obviously, my husband was upset. Wouldn't you be?? I think it is alarming as well on my quote for the brakes they actually put that we brought it in for suspension/brake check and that is a lie. WE brought it in and said that it was the brakes. I do not know why they put that on our quote. Brought the truck home and now after 4 days we still need our brakes fixed. The original reason we brought it to Les. They to top it off, did not reset the "suspension system warning" so now every time we turn on the truck it comes up and we are reminded of the situation.Customer Answer

2/28 we came to Les Schwab to purchase a set of tires. We own two cars, so they had allowed us to finance our first set and we were making payments. However, we had cash available to pay for the second set of tires. Come to find out, when we came in to make a payment to our financed tires, they gave us a balance with the second set of tires added to the first set of tires. We explained that this was impossible as we paid cash for our second set of tires and they told us that they would have to get back to us. We asked if we could view the security cameras to prove that we paid cash, and they said that the cameras only went back 3 weeks. The invoice documentation also only said "custumer charge", meaning that it wasn't put into the system that they had accepted cash from us. They also said the employee that handled our transaction didn't work there anymore. They checked bank statements and has also reported back no change in the till for the date we came in. I REFUSE to pay double for a set of tires, and we have been stolen from.Business Response

We regret that ***************** had a negative experience with the ****************, ********** Les Schwab Tire Center. We take customer reports seriously and work diligently to immediately address customer concerns.
According to *********************** records, **************** purchased four new tires for a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee on December 16, 2022. **************** paid $200 cash and then applied for and opened a retail credit account charging the remainder of the cost of the tires to his credit account in the amount of $1,409.64. He made the minimum monthly payment on his credit account in January and February. On February 28, 2023, **************** returned to the tire center and purchased four new tires for a 2017 **** Explorer. **************** charged the cost of the new tires and installation to his retail account in the amount of $1,549.53 and signed the invoice showing the charge (see attached invoice). He made a payment in the amount of $300 on March 31, 2023 and another $300 payment on April 25, 2023.
We have conducted a thorough investigation and determined that Les Schwab has no record of receiving a cash payment for Mr. and ******************* purchase on February 28, 2023. I went Les Schwab on the April 8 just to check my brakes before heading to the mountain. I was told my front brakes were done wrong with the wrong parts and I had zero back brakes. My brakes never made a sound. This is the THIRD time my brakes have been done wrong in a row. I was also told my outer right tie rod needed to be replaced as well. I have already had my tie rod replaced by ******* and Les Schwab did the center tie rod. So I wasn't quite sure why it had to be done again. It was closing and parts had to be ordered so I drove home. I started driving and the noise from my back brakes were so bad. I only a couple blocks away. I drove right back. and said, "what did you do to my car?" The manager said that I had no brakes and walked away. I went to ********** about a week later for a second opinion. They confirmed the parts are wrong on my front brakes. I am upset. I looked over my paperwork. I have had to have new brakes, calipers and rotors basically every 2 years or ****** miles. I know the past manager ***** and the manager *** said they had done my brakes wrong the last two times. Their warranty says ****** miles or 3 years. I called customer care, actually twice. I asked about the back brakes which are out before the warranty expires. The guy said the brakes were already done on the warranty and can't be used twice. It is not my fault they put the wrong parts on my car. So when the store does my brakes wrong and they wear out fast and only have a little over half the life they don't honor the warranty they handed me? I tried calling to talk to the manager to see if there was any way to finance. No my credit isn't good enough. No options. The manager will not talk to me. So I did some digging. The calipers and rotors that they have been installing and charging me for every ****** +/- are actually supposed to last ****** - ******* miles. I verified this through the company selling. I'm ripped off and without a car. It has to be towedBusiness Response

I am contacting you in regards to my complaint # ******* against Les Schwab. I am sorry I did not get right back to you until today. I am dealing with another matter and my brother just died.
If there is any way to open the case to say Les Schwab pulled through and I am totally satisfied. I talked to Corporate and was impressed with whom I talked to this time. He was sympathetic with my concern and he helped take care of my car. I did not go back to ****** who did the original work. I took it over to **********, of which I went to to get a second opinion. I worked with the manager, ***** and the assistant manager *** and they were wonderful. My car is taken care of and they will now get my service from now on.
This was a positive outcome and I thank them for responding and taking care of the problems.
If there is any other information you need please contact me at any time.

Bought 4 new tires through Les Schwab and they gave me 4 different tires instead of 4 of the same like the receipt says and what they charged me for. Spoke to ****, the manager, and he informed me that he thinks its due to alignment wear. Ive had the alignment done twice and the wear is even across the tire.Business Response

We regret that ************************ had a negative experience with the *****, Idaho Les Schwab Tire Center. We take customer reports seriously and work diligently to immediately address customer concerns.
According to *********************** records, ************************ purchased four new Extreme Contact Dws06+ tires for his 2020 Dodge Charger (vehicle) on October 20, 2022. At the time of the purchase an alignment was recommended but not performed. *** vehicle had ****** miles on it. At the time of the purchase, a free alignment check was performed and noted on the invoice that the caster and toe were out on the front and rear of the vehicle and an alignment was recommended. ************************ declined the alignment at that time.
On May 6, 2023, almost four years and ****** miles later, ************************ brought his vehicle back to the tire center and requested his tires be replaced free of charge based on the warranty. *** technician working to service the vehicle noted the front tires were at 2/32 and needed to be replaced while the rear tires were at 6/32 and did not yet need to be replaced. It was very apparent the tires have not been rotated, judging from tire wear. As a sole gesture of customer service, the store manager did provide a warranty at 63% of the tread life guarantee. He also explained to ************************, and noted on the invoice, that this warranty was an exclusive deal for today and will have to rotate the tires every ***** miles from now on and receive an alignment check within 30 days in order to keep the warranty. It should also be noted that ************************ received four complimentary flat repairs since the purchase of the new tires in 2019. On March 22, 2023 while receiving the most recent flat repair, the tire center technician informed ************************ the front tires were at 2/32 and the rears were at 6/32.
Les Schwabs Best Tire Value Promise, a copy of which ************************ received at the time of his purchase, expressly states: *** limited warranty for tread life does not cover services, damage or wear due to any of the following: misuse or abuseCovered Tires not regularly rotated will be considered abuse for purposes of this Limited Warranty. As part of the Limited Warranty, Les Schwab provides free rotations every ***** miles or as needed for Covered Tires.

I am rejecting this response because:
They did not change the front tires, nor inform me that the alignment was out. An alignment was performed not even a week after getting new tires and multiple times since. They performed fraudulent work and lied about it, then called Carmax, who paid for the tires and verified that they would not be pursued in a legal setting because of this. They are lying to cover up their terrible work practices. I have the receipt and all correspondence from the ***** Les Schwab, to include the voicemails and none of it mentions an alignment, balance or anything of that nature

I went to have my brakes fixed at another car repair franchise. That car repair franchise told me that I need all 4 tires replaced and they also wrote it on my receipt that all 4 tires needed to be replaced. That car repair franchise told me all four tires were worn evenly down to the wire. I was about ****** miles into my ****** mile tire warranty with Les Schwab. After getting my brake repair receipt from that car repair store. I drove immediately over to Les Schwab. Les Schwab only warrantied the front tires and claimed the rear tires were ok. Les Schwab told me if I don't get my tires aligned within the next 30 days they will no longer honor my warranty for any of my tires. Les Schwab still charged me over $100 to warranty just two tires. My car drives fine, it does not pull to the left or right. The steering wheel doesn't shake. The other tire store said the tire wear was even for all 4 tires. Spending a fortune to get a car alignment when there's no symptoms to the driver or tire wear is a scam. I'd spend more on alignments than I would on tires if I got an alignment everytime someone sneezed on my tires. These warranty conditions are ridiculous and it is also ridiculous all 4 tires were not changed. I work 50 to 80 hours a week in Mercy Hospitals surgery department and I can't be running special trips to a car shop all the time just for tire alignments and rotations. I get my tires rotated with oil changes or if a tire needs fixed and I'm there already. If Les Schwab can't honor their warranty than they shouldn't have one. I'll be sure to share my experience with my friends, family, and coworkers though.Business Response

The date of the transaction was 04/05/2023. I had taken my 2010 ****** Altima to Les Schwab tire center in ****** Oregon to have them fix the front struts and inner tie rod and they said at that time they had to do an alignment too. After the fact of them taking my front end completely apart and changing out those parts they then tell me when it starts feeling like the front tire is going to fall off when I am driving that they must have missed the fact that my lower control arms and bushings were also bad and that the boot on my passenger side **** was torn out and that it would be another !**** dollars and then they would do a new alignment on the car. I had the work done not by them and called to see if they would do my alignment again since they charged me already and it's not even possible to do a correct alignment when the control arms are bad. They said the only way they would do the alignment again was if it was within 30 days or I would have to pay for another one. All I am asking them to do is fix something they have charged me for and at the time it was impossible that they actually did it, to begin with. Customer ID **********. Good Evening, I was treated poorly at the ******** ********** Les Schwab, where the customer service representative kept changing the quote on me even when I first asked him when he showed me the quote for ******** and I asked not only once but twice is the total price. And he stated yes and then again told me that its how ******** and then him and his co-workers kept looking at me while working on my car and it made me feel uncomfortable and suspicious. Then after the service was done there was clunk noise in the front right passenger and this when I brought my vehicle back after 2 minutes of a drive and I knew it wasnt a right sound and then told me a it was wheel barring noise and replace a hub for another ****** couple days later and was told by the representative that it would be replaced okay to be driven with the noise for a couple days and then fix it for ******. It was so so wrong of them. So then I went to the Les Schwab store on Broadway where they inspected it and a rotor was beaten with a hammer and it was so embarrassing and it hurt me to thing that the team at ******** took me for my money! And sent me out like this! Im so thankful for Broadway team who went above and beyond for helping me and actually caring. As a recent job corp student graduate and then being played for my money by ******** was so wrong!! I believe that I should receive some funds back for there foolishness! This is not fair! Im a very positive person and the reason Im wanting to report and will be very glad to get attorneys involved if this doesnt get resolved. Customer reviews posted on/after July 5, 2024, will be published indefinitely unless otherwise voluntarily retracted by the user who submitted the content, or BBB no longer believes the review is authentic. BBB Business Profiles are subject to change at any time. If you choose to do business with this company, please let them know that you checked their record with BBB.
As a matter of policy, BBB does not endorse any product, service or business. Businesses are under no obligation to seek BBB accreditation, and some businesses are not accredited because they have not sought BBB accreditation. BBB charges a fee for BBB Accreditation. This fee supports BBB's efforts to fulfill its mission of advancing marketplace trust.
