On 10/27/2021, I entered into a contractual agreement with Beechcraft for advertisement at **************** Course. Ad was for a period of one year to begin when ad is delivered. According to the owner, the bench was set 06/22/2022 thus the ad beginning then. On 06/22/2022, I entered into another agreement for $800 for one year extension of my ad (thus being it not to end until 06/22/**** since the first ad had just begun that day). On 01/24/2023, they billed me AGAIN for $985 but this time I hesitated advising they already had me secured until 06/**** and I was not going to pay again until that time closer to the end date as I felt they just kept billing me. SEVERAL men continued to contact me all snickering when I was upset and continued to explain myself that I owed them nothing. They threaten to remove my bench and replace me with a competitor. I again stated I was not due until 06/****. I recently visited the golf course January 3, **** only to notice my bench was no longer on site. When I asked the owner, she stated she had no idea who removed it. She showed me their own paperwork of when the bench was placed (06/22/2022). I cannot get resolve with the arrogant men who gaslight a female to complete anger when trying to explain. Someone needs to refund me my entire portion or replace my bench. I also want to know when it was removed and by whom as I should receive credit. This company seems to want to cause confusion with consumers to continue to bill folks and when you stand up to them, they retaliate by removing the advertisement thats been paid for! Terrible scam. Ive lost advertising opportunities as well.

We have made multiple attempts to contact **************** in order to address her concerns. We have not received a response to multiple phone calls and emails. **************** is correct that she entered into a contract on 10/27/21 for a bench advertisement at a golf course near her. **************** approved her artwork on 12/7/21 and her sign was made and shipped to the golf course. ******************** 1 year ad time began in January of 2022. On 6/22/22 **************** extended her ad time by an additional year at a discounted rate. This extension made her bench active through December of 2023. **************** references the date 6/22/22 twice in her complaint regarding 2 different events. 1. Extension date 2. Sign installation date. Our assumption is that she made an honest mistake, but at our expense. We hold no ill will. **************** has received her full ad time as her sign was removed in January of ****. Based on the complaint details **************** would prefer to speak with one of the hundred or so women that work for our company as opposed to a male employee. That can be arranged if she can do us the professional courtesy of returning our phone call. *********************. We consider this complaint closed.

I am rejecting this response because:

Benchcraft contacted me 01/09/2024 1:55pm in response to the owner asking them. I was in meetings until after 5pm.

01/10/24, I received a call at 4:34pmagain no message and Im a meeting.

4:35pm,  I received an email from a ************ to which I replied to please send me their response in writing.

      6:56pmanother call from Benchcraft.

So all these multiple calls have been the past 24 hours and only one email. very manipulative on their part.

Nice CYA but they need to reply to me in writing. And theyre incorrect. My bench was not placed until 06/22/22 so that is when the time clock starts. So they again ignored facts and are trying to manipulate you.

I need a full refund and they need to ever contact me after this is resolved.

Excuse me? Nobody ASKED for me to respond to him claiming HE resolved it. I'm still waiting for the problem to BE solved and completed. I've received no additional contract to prove what he verbally stated would be done other than a new proof of ad. It's NOT completed so to close this file is a bit premature and shows zero favor to the consumer!!! Nobody from BBB reached out to me to ask or confirm resolution! wow!!! Do you protect consumers or businesses?

My cell is ************ and clearly you have my email but hopefully will use it to respond on the next step not close it until the consumer that opened the complaint confirms resolved!!

On May 19th, 2023, my company paid $495 for a year-long bench advertisement at the Ahwatukee Lakes Golf Course through the Bench Craft Company. This has been a disaster, and it has been horrible working with this SCAM COMPANY. First, it took Bench Craft months to even have an advertisement designed and ready. Second, they don't even post the advertisement. They will have a fake "advertisement designer" email you then never post your advertisement. It is a scam, and I have uploaded photos to show nothing gets posted. My paid ad was "supposed" to be on the 8th hole at Ahwatukee Lakes Golf Course. When I went to the course myself to see if it was there, there was only a blank bench with no ad. I have attempted to contact them several times, and they'll never return your call. It's a joke, and I can't believe they can sleep at night knowing how they operate. They should be ashamed of themselves. Don't waste your money with this SCAM SITE. They will take your money, do nothing for you, then spam you with more requests for money. The entire site is a disgrace to legitimate businesses that actually produce for their clients.

It is unfortunate to receive such an emotional and erroneous complaint. We hope that **************** conducts himself with more professionalism in the court room. **************** uses the word scam multiple times in his complaint and states that we don't post advertisements. We appreciate the picture **************** attached to his complaint as it contradicts his position entirely. The bench on hole 8 is indeed missing ******************** sign which was shipped to the host golf course and signed for via *** tracking. The interesting thing about the picture is that it also includes the tee sign on hole 8 which has another active advertiser's sign installed. We do not dispute that ******************** sign was misplaced by the golf course and therefore not installed. Any rational, logical individual seeing other advertiser's signs installed would typically come to the conclusion that the issue is with this particular sign and not our company as a whole. ******************** claim that he has called, and we have not returned his call is also not accurate. We have documented conversations with him on 9/19/23 and 12/4/23. He asks us how we sleep at night and our response is that we sleep well and have for 41 years in business. Proof of how we operate is attached to this response. A refund was processed today before receiving this complaint. The refund was processed following a phone call from **************** and as soon as the issue was brought to our attention today. The refund receipt was sent to **************** at 3:38 PST. We understand ******************** disappointment regarding the golf course misplacing his sign which resulted in the sign not being posted.  We are disappointed as well. Hopefully in his future endeavors he will keep his composure if / when he is faced with challenges. I am sure his clients would appreciate a more levelheaded response from him. Our assumption is that they will hold him accountable after reading his complaint and this response. If *************** needs any further assistance, we welcome his phone call. ************.

Hello, I apologize for the delayed response-- I had a family emergency and had to travel to ******* this past week. I would like to reopen the complaint because it has certainly not been resolved. Again, this company has lied and stated that they have sent a refund when there was no refund completed. I will never work with Bench Craft again. Working with Bench Craft was an truly awful experience from start to finish. The staff was unprofessional, will say anything to make, or keep a deal. There were all kinds of production and placement delays and my adds had to be extended 3months because things were not in place on time for the 2023 season. Had I not gone to the course to verify locations and adds several times I would have never knownApparently they're so bad at what they do that they have a Hard Sale Customer Retention guy The only reason youd need a guy like that is if you deal with an absolute Metric Ton of buyers with who are disgruntled or remorseful. Instead of working towards a solution and tamping out fires the *** fanned the flames! At every turn, when I thought we had an understanding and were working towards a solution, hed flip it back infuriating me. I verbally fought to the point of utter frustration with the Retention Specialist so many times I probably lost years off my life from the stress, and all I wanted was a crumb for Bench Crafts Delays and Placement issues. On top of that I received a vague email from Bench Craft about my adds, which I had agreed to, and replied something like Ya, thats what its supposed to be. Next thing I know $790 was withdrawn from my account, causing more Battles with the Retention Specialist, who asserted that I had agreed to the charge. I had to go back to my email to quote what was said, Conveniently it was the same amount as the sign which I had paid $790 for Its like they were hoping I wouldnt notice the additional charge. After **************************************************************************************** the $790 back. This stressed me out just thinking about it and that was almost a year ago. This is also most likely why They're scrambling to fill spots and giving huge percentages off deals to fill the spots of people who no longer want to work with you.

I am a very busy man, and after receiving a call and email to place more adds, I took the time to type up a response. The email response I typed up is the basically the body of my BBB complaint. The fact that the "Hard Sell" Client Retention Agent drove me to unprofessional conduct and cursing on the phone is testament to the level of aggravation that he drove me to. The length of time from my purchase to complaint also speaks to the level of stress this caused... the fact that I was so upset almost 1 year later to file a complaint is  impressive to say the least. Part of the delay was also to see if they were going to follow through with their promises. ***** after delay lead to them giving a 3 month extension to part of the adds that I ran. I was promised specific locations for my adds (sign on the 18th hole, inclusion in the course guide, and above the back 9 score area on the score card) that were completely disregarded when they went to print and were placed at the corse. The sales staff will say anything to make a sale, and the people I spoke to later said there were no notes on my file as to those promised locations. I had to go to the golf course 4 or 5 times after promises were made that everything would be fixed and I still didn't see the location on the score card corrected before I gave up wasting my time. The original delivery of the score card was supposed to be in the beginning of May. The corrected score card location wasn't slated to be made until August; hence the 3 month extension. This meant I would have approximately 1 month of all of my advertisements being in place during prime golf season instead of the whole season! I still maintain my belief that this is an excellent marketing opportunity at a fair price. My issue is with the staff, delays, and empty promises; which also lead to delay in filling a complaint.

      Customer Answer

      Date: 12/28/2023

I (to my knowledge) have never filed a BBB complaint before; I have responded to one for a previous employer though. If you read enough BBB complaints you can tell which are valid and which are the incoherent rants where the business probably was not at fault. As for resolution I would hope that Bench Craft improves their customer service, maybe notify clients of delays instead of the clients having to find out for them selves, and to tells their "Hard Sale" Client Retention Specialist to dial it back and work towards resolutions; carrots work better than sticks.

All I wanted was an extension for what was not delivered on time, and the return of the money they took from my account without permission (due to the misleading email about additional advertising). I got both of those things but had to fight tooth and nail for each. I'm not an unreasonable person, had they made the accommodations with out making me go to herculean efforts to get it, I would be placing more adds with them this coming year instead of filling a BBB complaint.

I paid $395.00 to have my salon information advertised on a golf course scorecard in ************. I ended up moving to ************** before the promotion started and bench craft agreed to send my information to the ***************************** starting in September of 2023. Bench craft was supposed to mail and email me a copy of the advertisement that would be displayed in **********. I have contacted them multiple times and been told they mailed me the info and it must have been lost by ***** I contacted the golf club this morning and they said they don't allow outside businesses to advertise on their scorecards and that they have no records for ********************************* or ***** do's salon. The ********** rep said they have had issues before with Bench Craft promising advertising to someone and not delivering on that promise. I have tried to resolve the issue with Bench Craft and keep getting lied to by their reps. I'm seeking a refund of the $395.00 I paid.

We have made multiple attempts to contact ********************. We have not received a return phone call. On 1/18/23 ******************** entered into a contract for ad space on the scorecard at a golf course near her previous place of business in ************. We received content from her to include in her artwork on 2/2/23. A preliminary proof was emailed to her on 2/6/23. After 2 requested updates on 2/7/23 and 2/8/23 ******************* approved her proof on 2/9/23. On 3/20/23 ******************** contacted our customer service department in our corporate office to inform us that she was relocating herself and her business to **************. We informed ******************** that we would help her by putting a hold on her account until she is settled in **************. We can then move her ad space to a golf course near her. She agreed that was a fair solution. On 5/5/23 ******************** contacted our customer service department again to let us know she has completed her relocation. We sent ******************* multiple options in **************. On 5/25/23 she contacted our customer service department and asked us to narrow the options to specific area. We obliged. On 5/30/23 ******************** chose to have her ad space moved to a course guide at ***************************** in ************** to be delivered in September of 2023. The same day our art department redesigned the proof to fit the different product ******************** had chosen. She approved the proof on 5/31/23. On 8/18/23 ******************** contacted us for status. She was informed that we are on schedule and that she would be sent a physical copy of the printed course guide at the same time the bulk shipment is sent to the host golf course. We confirmed her mailing address at that time. On 9/15/23 a physical copy of the printed course guide was mailed to ******************** at the address on file. On 10/24/23 ******************** contacted customer service again stating that she did not receive the physical copy we mailed her. We told ******************** we would mail another copy. Although ******************** has proven through multiple phone calls that she knows how to contact us, we have not heard from her since 10/24/23. ************************ claim that she has been lied to is erroneous. She also states that she was told by ********** National that they don't allow outside advertising on their scorecards. ******************** is printed in the course guide. She simply spoke to the golf course about the wrong product. Attached to this response is a scanned image of the 2023 edition course guide including her ad space as well as *** tracking information with proof of delivery. We welcome a phone call from ******************** to ensure her questions are addressed. ************. We consider this complaint closed.

********************* called me today about my ad. I was working with a client so I asked him to send me a copy of the advertisement I paid for and I would follow up shortly. He accused me of pretending to forget I had paid for the ad, talked over me, and hung up on me. I called him back twice which ended in a shouting match in my office. I searched for the original contract and found the "proof" only to discover that it was my email signature from my Gmail account. He could not send me any proof that my ad was indeed at the golf course or ever installed.

I originally tested this company for our business after a random email from their company. I signed up for one service as a test run to see how it would perform. I have been repeatedly called with sales offers from this company, I received 2 today alone. On the second call the sales rep ****- ********************, claimed I had originally signed up for an additional service and he was calling on behalf of ***** the original sales rep and this was a courtesy call to make me aware of that a payment was processing today. The rep went on to tell me that i had signed up for a course that was a sister course to said phone call and I signed up for this back in May. The rep deceitfully used the sales reps name as a way to make me question the time that had passed and to what I had signed up for I was in a hurry as I am a busy person like any other business owner that I initially questioned it but eventually gave in, falling for the tactic. I was mislead to confirm a payment and new sale under the mask that I had signed up for said services in May of 2023 and this was the second payment of the year; convincing me I was obligated to this legally! it wasnt until after payment was processed that I read the receipt and noticed sales rep in the top left corner was a different name than original rep back in May 2023 which then through the blinders off of me instantly realizing I had been lied to so a sales rep could make a sale. I called courses ******** and Meadow lake both informed me they were no way affiliated with each other. I then jumped Otp with corporate of company and explained this incident, I am currently waiting on a resolution! The rep I spoke with told me I had been in fact sold an additional service; therefore, solidifying that I had been a victim of misleading and fraudulent sales tactics. Beware of this company. I was taken advantage of and legitimately SCAMMED into purchasing a service! Im honestly considering taking legal action and reaching out to media.

We have in good faith however, made note in our system that NW Pressure Washing would prefer not to be contacted. The 200 or so employees of ours that live in or around King ***** ***********, ********, ****** etc. have access to our system and should not call NW Pressure Washing with advertising opportunities or to use their service. ************** using the term "scam" so flippantly is unfortunate. I am sure after he has worked for ******************** for longer than the 4 years they have been in business, he will have a more seasoned business acumen. We consider this complaint closed, but welcome a phone call from ******************** or ************** to discuss. We only ask that they have the professional courtesy not to disconnect the call abruptly and emotionally after stating their concern.

Got a cold call for golf course advertisements for our tree business. Was told we would have a bench by the clubhouse on a golf course right down the road and I was hesitant but then he said if I sign up now he would cut the price down. He said he needed an answer now for the deal so I was hesitant but said yes. They charged my card that day and said the bench would be ** in 6 weeks, its been 5 months and no bench is up. They have charged my card multiple times since then totaling into the thousands of dollars. Trying to dispute it. When I reached out to the company they hung up as soon as I told them who I was.

Approached (on the phone) in the fall of 2022 by this company to advertise on local golf course score cards for 2023. Soon after the initial call, they talked to me about extending advertising into 2024/25. I thought sure. Their method of collecting money was via text. I know I'm a busy person. And I'm sure this is what they counted on. It took me awhile to catch on to what they were doing. They were texting me with different phone numbers each time... so far 8 different numbers. Fortunately for me, I keep certain texts for years, and these I did. Once my brain caught on to what they were doing, I went back and read the texts. I saw they were telling me the same thing over and over. I read more than once 'After today you are officially and completely paid in full.' Then they sent me the same picture every time (guy's thumb in the exact same place). I was like wait a minute. They told me a couple of times that they would mail a copy of the official product, but I never received one from them... never saw it in person. I read other reviews in BBB regarding this company and agree with a lot of what was said.

We have made multiple attempts to speak with ****************** regarding any errors or issues with her account. She has refused to speak with us so that we can address her questions or concerns. Her request to be refund has been granted. Receipts are attached to this response. We have also attempted to explain how a refund will post to an account and what the 2 banking institutions timeline is. We do not believe that she fully understands the process and will therefore not likely resolve this complaint. We welcome a phone call if ****************** needs any further assistance. We consider this complaint closed.

I am rejecting this response because:

I feel I deserve the right to publicly respond to what has been said about me.  It is true I refused to speak with him over the phone.  I refused because if I speak with him over the phone, I wouldn't have a record of what was said.  He communicated with me via email as I requested, but he still told me to stop treating the situation in such an unprofessional manner by not having a conversation with him.  He also said he will still welcome my phone call despite my actions.  (His words)  My actions?  I did nothing wrong.  I was protecting myself and have no regrets doing so.

I did not have to request refunds.  They just gave them to me without me asking.

As far as him trying to explain how a refund will post to my account, his first attempted was not the same as his second attempt.  His first attempt was not clear to me.  After this failed attempt, he wrote to BBB saying they do not believe I fully understand the process and will therefore not likely resolve this complaint.  Not fair for him to say that.  It wasn't my fault he wasn't clear.  After that, he sent me another email (AFTER writing negative things about me to BBB) with a more clear explanation.  He ended that email by saying he doubts I will contact him to apologize once the refunds post in my account.

There is more to this situation, but for me the complaint is closed when I receive what they promised and I am no longer belittled or berated by them.  I have done nothing wrong.

      Sincerely,

      ***********************
