This company call to sell you a space on gold course cards. They tell you its a 1 time charge for 4 golf courses and will send out score cards copies by mail. They call every 3 months to say score cards are ready to ship. They say I will email receipt, I ask why does the receipt at you will be charging me if you already did? They say no we never charge you until score cards actually get sent, just type ok on email to continue. Today was the 3 card, I said but why does it keep saying you will charge me? Employee said we have to its 4 gold course and was very rude. All this time he had been charging me each time he called. They are lying to companies of how much they charge you. Its not a one time fee. Please see into this business this is not normal. He hanged up in me because I told him I recoded all his call where he kept saying he wasnt charging me.Business Response

I contracted with Bench Craft golf (*******************************, *********************, ***********************) in June of 2022 for advertisements at several local golf courses (Sign at PineCrest GC, course guides/scorecards at Palmetto Hall, the Crescent, Eagles Point). I paid $1,600 and provided them copies of the advertisements. After 6 months and more than 17 e-mails and 6 phone calls my advertisements are not at any of the golf courses. I last spoke with *********************** on 12/7/22. He stated that my advertisements were at both PineCrest and Palmetto Hall. He also stated that my advertising time had started. I remined him that we had spoken in September when he promised me the same thing after I had visited both courses and found that my advertisements were not there. He had promised to contact me and send me copies of the course guides/scorecards. He never did. He said that he would send me copies of the course guides this week and call PineCrest. On 12/9/22 I received a copy of one course guide for Palmetto Hall (they have two courses). On 12/10/22 I verified and met with the *** professionals and golf operations manager at both PineCrest and Palmetto Hall. They validated that my advertisements were not there (Palmetto Hall does not have the course guides and won't be ordering any until course renovations are complete). PineCrest provided me copies of all their invoices and shipping receipts from Bench Craft. None of them included a sign or advertisement for my business. They also stated that they had not received any calls from anyone at Bench Craft.Bench Craft is either a scam or a very poorly run business that is quick to make promises, take your money, and not deliver on their contractual obligations. Last week I told them I would give them until 12/14 to correct this situation. After visiting both courses this weekend it is impossible for them to correct this. It has been 6 months of the same excuses and lies. I would caution anyone from doing business with Bench Craft.Business Response

On 5/23/22 I was contacted by Benchcraft and asked if I would like to place an ad in the guide for our local golf course. I paid them $1200 on 5/23/22 with my credit card. I was contacted multiple other times by multiple other employees asking if I would like to spend more on additional golf courses in the area. They were very persistent on getting my to buy more ads but I still hadn't see the current ad I paid for. The company sent me a draft of the ad in around June and I made a few changes and sent it back. They said it was going out for print within a few days. I reached out to Beechcraft in November and asked where my ad was and that it was not in the golf course they said it would be. I received a response that it would be and to contact his supervisor if I had more questions. The supervisor did not return my call. I sent another email on 12/7/22 that it was too late to file a dispute with my credit card but I would be filing a complaint with the BBB as I could see that I was not the only one who was scammed out of their money. I only hope people research this company before doing any business with them. They are not a legitimate business. If you reach out to our local golf course, they will tell you that they have no contract and will not have paid ads in their course guides. It is absolutely fraud.Business Response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. The company reached out immediately and offered a refund if the golf course was not using the guides. They informed me that the guides were distributed on 8/3/22. I followed up with the course to ensure that the guides with my advertisement were in use and they were. Beechcraft was very helpful in resolving the issue. The ad was exactly what I approved.

I was contacted by benchcraft and sold on false services. Had to keep calling and calling to get ahold of anyone in the art department. Kept being told they were working on things and waited 3 months for no results. Each person I spoke to would say something that contradicted the next person in the company I would speak to. No one ever spoke about a no refund policy and when I asked for my money back based on being sold on false advertising and fake statements I wanted my money back rightfully so and I was told no. I was also told the art department would reach out to me which They never did. I got one confirmation letter from them. And when they did reach out it was by email because I had emailed them which was a month after I had spoken to them originally. Every time I spoke to the original sales rep he would tell me he could no longer assist me and would pass me off to someone else. Also was never told I had to wait till January of 2023 for the pamphlet to come out They over sold me at $425 originally then took 30 dollars off to try to make it look like a favor but its originally $380 he lied to me and upsold me on their original package. Was spoken down to by an employee, quite literally personally attacked by him and yelled at for wanting my money back. We recorded him for about 20 minutes. We told him we were recording him due to the way he was verbally attacking us and then stated again at the end we were recording him. They told me they would refund me my money but nothing has shown up yet. It had said pending in my bank and now it doesnt. Really hope they didnt decide to pretend to refund the money and then not answer their phones for me. Please if someone could help in regards to this that would be amazing. Awful company and Id never ever recommend theBusiness Response

I am rejecting this response because: the company Bench Craft called me this morning literally just to confront me in regards to posting a complaint about their business, which isnt the first one. The gentleman called back to tell me that I was essentially weak and immature for doing what I did and he also stated that we recorded him illegally, which is a complete lie because I have the recording and it states in the beginning very clearly that were recording him due to the way he is speaking to us and treating us and that Id be reaching out to my lawyer in regards to this situation. they passed me up the line from one person to the next, stating that each one was higher in management than the next, and could solve my problems when realistically all they were trying to do it high pressure me into a sale that I didnt want to do one that I already said I wanted to cancel on numerous occasions and was refused access to do so. I was lied to in regards to what the services provide. I was lied to in regards to what the art department could do, and would do and I was lied to in regards to when the service would be put out into the pamphlet. I was led on to believe that in the winter time it was a really, really busy place that would attract a lot of customers and people and I was guaranteed that my service will be the only service of my kind inside the pamphlet. Which is also a lie. Due to the false advertisement and false accusations that the company has made not only against me and my company, but also against the words that I have expressed to you in writing today and yesterday. I have no reason to lie or go out of my way. I honestly have all the text messages between me and the sales rep where he is giving me all these different details and facts in regards to what I am buying when realistically they were either lies or made up fairytales to try to get the sale. They did state that they were returning the money but whats funny is I just called my bank and we can clearly see how they took the money out back in September and October for 180 and then ***************************************************************************** a deal by taking $30 off when realistically the package itself cost 380 anyways plus tax its about $394 . What they did was they oversold the product at a price that wasnt true to give them leeway to remove $30 off to make it seem like they were giving me a deal and a discount when realistically they were just overcharging me so that they could take some money off and leave room for the exact payment that was due!. I would not go out of my way to lie or report a claim that is not true. If you need the video footage of the ****************************************************************** down, making fun of me, calling me names, disregarding my truths in what is occurred in my life recently, which I only told him as a man so that he could understand and respect where I was coming from. I signed up for this not because I thought it was a good program or a good service. I signed up for it because I was under the impression that the pamphlet would be made quickly and efficiently, and a hard copy would be sent out but none of that occurred. All I kept getting was ********* at the Stonewall lie after lie, and then different agent after a different agent. Anytime might hit up the original sales agent, which I also have many many text messages going back-and-forth between us while he didnt even know what he was doing he was clearly a new agent I just cant understand how if you return money to somebody and it post on their bank is pending, but then disappears and then when I call my bank and ask them where the money is they state that theres some sort of fraudulent activity going on because it showed up as pending last week now theres no pending amounts theres no amounts that got put into the account but yet it says it was approved. Its not my bank. They clearly stated it was not them that its something on the other end and it would not surprise me if the company Bench Craft tried to cancel the request of my cancellation policy and try to steal the money . Im waiting for a response back from my attorney, as well as from the cooperative ************ Cod which they are looking into the fraudulent activity right now. They said that they do not ever normally see this and wanna count proves approves an amount that normally goes through and it has been five business days so granite theres two business days left in regards to what they state the timeframe is but its not looking good. They also sent me a transaction cancellation which has the amount on both pieces of paper. I can also provide that and I wouldnt be surprised if that was also a fake or lie. The man went out of his way to disrespect me and my girlfriend and then went on to try to coach me and how to do sales and how to run a business. These people clearly take a vantage of small businesses and I dont think that after someones father dies, and you have to pay for a funeral that the guy on the other line should be criticizing you or ridiculing you in regards to that type of situation, and the fact that I dont have money left over is none of his business. I do feel personal. Problem with the situation, due to the fact that I do straight up good business and legitimate business and if theres ever a problem, I always provide the best service possible for the customer at which point I would expect the same in return from whatever business I am working with. Its sad to see all the comments on yelp and the different reviews that they have on the Better Business Bureau But before I even seen those I was having my own issues and now that Ive seen those I realize Im not the only one and that this needs to stop. Someone needs to take out a class action lawsuit against these people because this company is straight robbing people and deceiving people and lying to people and then committing fraud and theyre acting like theyre not doing anything wrong. Ive seen these call centers and how they work and operate down in ******* and believe me when I say this these companies are going to just move from one spot to the next and theyre just going to change their name and promote the same activities in the same nonsense. I am also calling the Attorney General today to make sure that this company is in their ear and that they know exactly whats going on and Im going to explain detail by detail and Im also going to share this video if its legally allowed, and Im gonna prove that the way that this man spoke to me and the way that he treated me and then the way he disregarded me and lied to me and tried to convince me that something that wasnt true was true its just absolutely absurd. I let people be the judge for themselves, but I do believe that something needs to be done about this because if I was some old lady or old man or some young kid that didnt know any better I wouldve just said forget about it and let them keep the money and except the scam for what it is and then probably got re-charge again in a year without even knowing it. At the end of the day Im just a small business owner trying to do the next right thing and I dont think its right that people lie cheat, steal manipulate Incon, the lesKahn Incon, the less fortunate, especially in times like this with our economy inflation the way it is. My bank just called me back just now to state that the transactions they allegedly were going to return back in the amount of 180 in the amount of $215 were both preapproved and showed up on the bank account but when it came to approving the request and pushing it forward, they did not approve it so theres two steps one step is you pre-approve it and put it on then youre supposed to Clear the preapproval and except it so that the amount gets returned which it was not. My bank stated that were gonna have to do a full investigation on this and that they are going to need a lot of paperwork which I have text messages emails receipts I have recorded videos and now I have even more information to show that theyre committing fraud where my bank stated that they literally have the information that shows Everything that needs to be shown to prove fraud. So if they do not want to put my money back once I call them back right now and explain the situation and they want to play games then were gonna have to move forward with a formal investigation and Ill be calling my attorney now to let him know whats going on with the situation. It is larceny over $250 in the state of ************* and because its over state lines. This can also become a federal situation again I was trying to just simply get my money back in return because I was lied to, and deceived in a manner that I did not feel comfortable with and now my bank is literally telling me that they literally Are playing games because they know that when they do the preapproval and the prior off shows up that they have to complete it and except it for the amount to be returned. After getting a phone call this morning and realizing that the agent was upset. He mustve seen my complaint at which point they didnt approve the amount to go through. They were probably seeing if I put a complaint up or not. So I assume this is going to be a problem in an issue but Im gonna call and be as respectful as possible, and I am also going to state to them that I am recording the line beforehand so that they know again clearly as I did in the other video because I am sick and tired of people like this taken advantage of me and its wrong and someone needs to do something about it please . Just think about if this was you at your kid trying to get by in survive in hard times like this and then semantics $400 from them and makes fun of them and put them down. It makes him feel like theyre less than just because they are losing a sale. Its disrespectful its wrong and someone to do something about it
Sincerely,

This complaint is in regards to this business being able to continue operation even though they have had numerous complaints against them for fraudulent activities and my having informed them via an earlier contact that I was not interested in their offer and did not want to be contacted again by them. In direct disregard to my request, there was another attempted contact on 12/2/22 where they are contacting me on behalf of my local golf course, even though they are calling from the main office line. This alone is a fraudulent activity in that they pretending to represent another entity without clearly identifying that they are not affiliated with the business that they are pretending to be but are instead a marketing agency. This business needs to be shut down and removed from existence as they are the perfect example of a SCAM.Business Response

Per his request, we will not contact **************** of ********************* Cruise and Travel, LLC regarding this erroneous complaint. It is unfortunate that a "business owner" would not contact our corporate office so that we can address any questions or concerns he may have. For 40 years we have contacted businesses on behalf of local golf courses that we have valid contracts with. It is specifically said that we are calling on behalf of the golf course in order to delineate from calling from the golf course. We do appreciate **************** confirming that the sales reps presented themselves appropriately. We offer business owners the opportunity to have their business placed on specific products that we supply to the golf course that are used for daily operation. It is understandable if someone does not want to purchase and declines our offer. **************** could have simply contacted us to express his real complaint, that he is upset that he received a 2nd phone call from a sales rep at a different time and more than likely from a different sales office. We would then have ensured the information for the golf course he is being contacted about includes his request not to be contacted. He has instead made outlandish claims of "fraud" and "scam". Fortunately the complaint is clearly an overreaction and full of emotion due to the 2nd phone call he received. We hope that **************** never has to deal with such an irrational reaction in his business. We invite **************** to contact us so that we can further address his concerns. ************. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.However, let it be known to all who follow up on this business, their use of relationships with the golf courses that they are "representing" are not real. I have personally confirmed with the golf courses in my area that they do not have working relationships with this company and they do not foresee a time when they will. This business has a reported track record of not providing their victims with the services or products purchased and a quick search for this company will reveal a multitude of complaints along this line. This type of business conduct would result in their operation being shut down in most States but apparently is quite acceptable in their home State.
Do not fall victim to their attempts to persuade you into committing your marketing dollars into their scheme.
Sincerely,

I was contacted about advertising with a local golf course. We were to receive an ad that would be listed in course booklets. I spoke to a gal and was provided a contract as well as information to contact a graphic design artist to create the ad. I reached out to the email given to work on the ad design and now can not get the graphic designer to contact me nor the representative I spoke to originally. I have now looked online and see this scam has been pulled hundreds of times to other businesses. I just want my money back since absolutely nothing has moved forward and I do not wish to continue business with a company that has such poor ethical and moral values. I am also filing a claim with our credit card to dispute this charge immediately as there is verifiable evidence that this entire presentation was a scam as hundreds of other small businesses have experienced the exact same situation.Business Response

My experience mirrors other complaints.Promise of ad. Never showed in the course guide. They contacted me days after first add and sold a second course for 1/2 price for 2 years. They made it sound like the fee covered 2 years and then they billed me again saying it's for the 2nd year. When I approved, I thought it was just confirming the original purchase, but they billed me a second time. So 6 months ago I supposedly paid for 23/24 season. 1 year ahead for time. But now they are asking for more money for 23/24 season. I didn't respond, believing I was caught in a scam. They then add a discount and added another year on the deal. So now they offer it good through ****. This is a scam using confusing and predatory sales practices. And in the end NOT delivering an Ad. I see BBB complains with a simple company response saying they worked it our and BBB saying the resolution is satisfactory. I can't believe they made these companies whole. My solution will not be satisfactory if there is no a full refund for all money's paid. This company is a SCAM.Business Response

On September 29th, 2021, I was convinced to spend $790 (which I paid in full) to buy advertising on the golf club score cards at my local golf course by **************** at Bench Craft Company (BCC). I was told that the cards would be printing in March of 2022 and, per their contract, the "advertisement will be delivered to the host in a reasonable amount of time which BCC represents will be approximately **************************************************************** seasonal closure."In March of 2022, I went to my local golf course to play a round and noticed my ad was nowhere to be found on the score card. When I got home, I called and inquired about my ad. I was promised that they were in the process of being printing and they would be delivered in May. That would be approximately ******* days after the contract was finalized. I went to the course again in May and, of course, there was no ad for my business on the score cards. Again, I called and asked about the situation, expressed my disappointment and informed the person representing Bench Craft Company that if I did not see my ads on the score cards by the end of May that I would be asking for a full refund. I was told flatly, "You will not be getting any refund."My business became very busy over the summer and the score cards fell off my priority list.I went to play in a tournament at the local golf course in October 2022. You'll never believe this, but the score cards still did not have my ad on them.Of course, BCC puts the blame squarely on the golf course and says that they are just using their old score cards and haven't put the new ones out yet. Funny how that possibility is never mentioned during their pitch. If I had known that, I would never have agreed to it. It has been over 1 year since I signed a contract to have my ads on the score cards for 1 full year. Other than the sample of the card BCC sent me, I've never seen the ad I paid for on the score cards at my local golf course.Business Response

We contracted with the company to place an add on a golf course score card. The actual ad is fine. It is the harassment and threats/phone calls and text to charge our card as a bait to get us to call to place additional ads. We have told them we won't be placing additional ads. In addition, they have been told not to call our personal number vs our business number more than once. I just want them to stop calling us. I was contacted sometime in late June of 2022 by ************************* of Benchcraft regarding purchasing an ad in the ********** National Golf Course guide as well as a tee sign on the golf course. I paid $790 for the ad and $395 for the tee sign for one year. I was told the ad would be placed on the score page and next to one of my realtor partners ads. I have asked on multiple occasions for proof of the ad and tee sign and I never get a thing. I just keep getting told they put it in the mail. This business is a SCAM and people need to be made aware. The only contact I receive is for authorization to charge another year of ads - they can't even show proof that they have fulfilled the original contract.Business Response
