5 starsSo far I haven't had any problems that they couldn't help me with. The only thing I don't like is that your forced to do auto pay for 12 months and my bill is due to early for my payday so I have to make sure I leave that amount of money on my card which cuts into my getting groceries mid month.Review fromJon H

Wow, where do I start? This is a terrible company built on deceitful advertising. There are loads of complaints yet they claim to be 5 star satisfaction. I was highly unsatisfied and they didn't cate at all, they just ignored my complaint and kept overcharging me. They offered a phone to buy at a small monthly payment, and then charged me for the full amount on the first bill. I eventually got them to take the full price off, only to have them put it back on later. The only reason I signed up with CC was because of phony ads that claimed $20 for a line which is the fraud. The ** ad was being showed a lot with the deceiving claim of $20 for 1 line and additional lines for $15 each. After they removed the full price of phone, I was still getting bills each month for over $100 each month. I was getting poor service and being charged more than most other carriers, but getting terrible service with poor connection. When I called the customer service, they explained all the additional charges which were never explained when I signed up and told them I wanted one $20 line and a second for the $15 as advertised. This company relies on deceit to lure you away from the more honest providers. When I finally got to the bottom of the false claims and wanted to return the phone, they claimed I had passed the return period. This company only cares about overcharging, not about their customers. I tried to cancel service and pay for phone on monthly payments but they refused to allow it. They have the phone locked so I can't use it, and they want only full payment on it. I am retired on a fixed income, as I told them, but they refused to work with me. So from the $35 for two lines that they advertised, they charged over $100 per month that was way too high. Then I canceled second line and I was still getting bills for $89 for one line I could not get help to get my account billing fixed so I canceled. Now I have to file a lawsuit, possibly a class action, to correct this problem.Consumer Cellular

When our customers order our devices using our interest free EasyPay plan they pay a small down payment/plus tax and monthly payments each month until the device is paid in full. If the account is cancelled before the phone is paid for in full, the remaining EasyPay balance will be added to the account balance. This information is provided in the EasyPay agreement that the customer is required to sign, accepting the number of payments and the terms and conditions of the agreement. Our plan pricing is listed before taxes and fees, so Unlimited Talk, Text and 1GB of data is $20.00 plus tax; additional lines of service are $15.00 plus tax. I have had no problems with CC. Good and knowledgeable **************** Reps./Good coverage in 5G and overall. It's also GSM, which is superior.I have been using very basic Moto phones, which sometimes cause issues, but you don't get what you don't pay for!I recommend CC to my friends.My bill is half of what it would be with my previous services.Consumer Cellular

They lie to you. You call and make payment arrangements and then they shut your phone off and make excuses and then say once youre suspended we cant turn it back on. I specifically told the girl on the phone that I need to make arrangements till the third because I was on disability and needed to stay in contact with my doctors. She told me absolutely no problem and guess what they shut me off anyway.Consumer Cellular

In August I bought a SIM card from ************ on changing from ****************************** I contacted WFMS to make sure my phone was unlocked. They told me it was. The day to change came and went. I tried on several occasions to switch, but it would not switch and I had at least three CSR tell me they couldn't help. So, I called WFMS back and obtained service from them that same day. At no time was I ever connected to CC, yet I have been getting bills for service that I don't have. And I was told that I owe this bill because I didn't cancel it. HINT: It was never active. They do not have me set up with access to my account, so I can't tell you what the bill says. Today I received a bill for $72 past due. Past Due what? Is this how you treat your customers? If they do something wrong, you just charge them. You don't have to give them service, just charge them.Consumer Cellular

I do not understand the $5 fee for not using a credit card. This company is for the elderly, mostly. Seems like a big inconvenience and a way to scam money from seniors. Payments are payment, period. I do not pay by credit card because if your credit card is stolen, you have to change every website that card is used on. This could cause late fees or an inability to charge a stolen card if you forget everywhere you pay bills. Quite ridiculous. That is exactly what happened to me. My credit card was stolen 2x in a row. They should change this policy, seems more like a scam.Consumer Cellular

We understand the fee can be frustrating, however, Consumer Cellular is committed to being a green company. As such, we recently implemented some changes to match current industry standards, including a $5.00 fee for our customers who prefer a paper invoice and processing payments on their own. Be careful with Consumer Cellular because they will not tell you that you have to have Wi-Fi to activate phone; I have no access to Wi-Fi and am not able to go find Wi-Fi outside because I am disabled; All I had to do with previous NON-Consumer Cellular phones was call customer service and they would activate phone without having Wi-Fi ; What a *********** of time with this company.Consumer Cellular

I have had the worst time with CC. I was making a payment online thru the app. One payment was past due and the other will not be due til 11/5/23. On the app it gave me the option to pay it in full or pay past due amount. I marked the box to pay past due amount only. I have a new debit card so I put the new card info in and hit suit payment. Nothing happened. Looked for errors, couldn't see any so hit submit again. Nothing happened. I checked my info again. Everything looked good so hit submit again. Nothing happened. I decide to re-enter my debit card info & hit submit - it went through but it took the 2 payments, not just the past due. So I call right away & explain what just happened. I said I need that one payment back to pay another bill. The customer service rep went to see if they could reverse charge or at least give me back the $50 payment that I didn't plan on making but they took. The rep said he couldn't believe they would not b able to refund the one payment amount. So he advised me to call my bank & stop payment on that transaction. I do ********* said they can't do anything on pending transactions. But they tell me that CC can stop the transaction. So I call CC back & say my bank told me that they can stop a pending transaction. The rep tells me he's going to try to get my situation figured out for me. It takes a few minutes but he comes back on the phone & tells me that they will cancel the initial payment & only take the past due amount. So I thank him thinking my problem had been solved. NOT!!!A couple of hours later I go on my bank app to confirm the one payment had been refunded & much to my dismay, I see an ADDITIONAL $55 payment had been taken out. WHAT? So I call CC a 3rd time & ask for a manager because their solution was to take an additional payment out & NOT give me the refund of the first payment. She said they did cancel the first payment it just takes 1-7 business days to get my money back. UGH!!! I HATE CONSUMER CELLULAR!Consumer Cellular
