      On September 22, 2023, at approximately 12:45 PM, CST, I could NOT log in to my Consumer Cellular account as the website has apparently changed. I called their 800 number three times only to be hung up on twice, and only able to receive a poorly designed menu of options,; none of which provided any HELP. I am not able to log in to my account online, and was seeking a remedy that was not to be.As far as I know, Consumer Cellular, as of September 22, 2023 has;1. gone out of business, or 2. No longer wishes to engage with their consumers This is extremely poor business practice. No other option was provided by Consumer Cellular.I do NOT recommend them at this point in time for lack of prompt or failed customer service.If I could give less than one star, I would. This is not what I signed up for more than five years ago.This has been written in frustration and anger with automated phone systems !

      Consumer Cellular advertises for seniors, however are very unfriendly when dealing with elderly with no internet access. When my father became unable to keep the bill paid, I found it extremely difficult to keep it going for him despite eventually having him give verbal approval for me to handle it as well as my POA. Now he has passed and I simply want the phone to remain operable for my mothers use. Im asked to jump through ridiculous hoops just to pay the bill, which is all Ive ever tried to do. So ** told the account will be suspended and thats fine. I cant continue to fight with this. I will find another way to maintain phone access for her. *********************, for *************************

      Never travel to Europe with this company as your phone company. Went for a month to Europe and could not get a single call, or make a call. When I got back I was furious. Called customer service and they could careless and told me I owed them $450.00 for the month.

      I'm disappointed in my bill amount. I was told $87/month for my three lines. My monthly payment ended up being $99. I wasn't told in the beginning that there would be state taxes added and a surcharge added. There were no hidden fees with the company that I switched from.

      The service is great, but when consumers cellular says unlimited they are liars. The data throttles if you go over their amounts. Unlimited? Its a scam and nothing is unlimited what so ever!!! Not worth sticking with a company that lies to their customers.

With unlimited data plans, data speed is reduced once a customer has used a preset amount of data, which is standard for carriers nationwide. This practice helps to optimize overall network performance and maintain a quality service experience for as many customers as possible. Once a customer has used 50GB of high-speed data in a billing cycle, their data speed will be reduced. This information is available on our website and states On unlimited data plans, access to high speed data may be reduced after 50GB of use, and you may experience slower speeds for the remainder of your billing cycle.

      Horrendous customer service. I was a loyal customer for years. My phone reception was terrible. I decided to go to another carrier. I had three lines . When I contacted customer ********************** my nightmare began. Its been over three weeks, hours and hours on the phone. To date my sons and wives phone dont work correctly. I beep told numerous lies and cant seem to fix issues. Old phones locked. And to make matters worse they are still billing me. I am on social security disability.

      i decided to leave my current carrier after 22 yrs as I wanted to save money. According to the consumer cellular ads they offered the same service and had all the latest 5G phones. My experience has been awful. It took 6 phone calls to get my phones transferred and setup on the CC network. I was told by 3 different agents on 3 different calls to swap the *** cards in my two phones..swapping them once should fix the problem. more than that tells me they don't know what they are doing. After approx 8 calls over two days we finally got the phones (and voicemail) working. I wanted to buy a new ****** pixel as my pixel 5 is getting old; come to find they don't sell the ****** pixel. Yet they claim in the ads to have all 5g phones. I have a big family and often there are 12 folks on a text message. I tried to reply to one of those messages and I could NOT as the CC network only supports 10 phone numbers on an individual text. And there ads clearly say they offer the same service as other carriers. Sure they offer texting (same service as others) but its not exactly the same. I am already looking at switching to another carrier in the next few months.

      Purchased a plan at Target in **********. I was transferring from Tracfone. DJ, ***** was awesome, incredible, not enough words to describe how helpful she was . She maintained her calm composure for almost 3 hrs. on the phone with my old carrier and speaking with 5 customer reps, who did not know what they were doing. DJ did it herself in 10 min. Thank you DJ

      I've had Consumer Cellular for 6 months and have been blocked from the network 5 times, all when it was very important to make a call. The service is not reliable. Calls are dropped and the inconsistency to connect to there network is very frustrating. I have been in one location, made a phone call and then hung up to make a second call from the same location on to receive a message that I am not registered to use the network...and now my phone doesn't work at all. I can't even call customer service, I have to find another phone that works to call customer service at **********************. I like the price for the service, but I don't like that I have to use Chrome to log into my account...Microsoft web browser won't work.I can't stand the constant frustration and will find look for another provider.I'm done trying to make a flawed system work.

      I signed up for service after discussing with the sales person that I had previously tried to switch to Mint and found my phone was not compatible. I checked the **** number on the Consumer Cellular website, but I had also done that with Mint. The sales person assured me that my phone was compatible. When I received the *** card I could not activate service. I patiently stayed on the phone with a Consumer Cellular technician for over 2 hours while he tried to activate service. He concluded that my phone (a ******* Galaxy purchased in Europe) was not compatible and he assured me that I would not be charged anything. Well I was charged $5.71 for shipping the *** card. I called Consumer Cellular and requested a refund which was denied. It is a small amount of money but as I relied on the representation of Consumer Cellular that my phone was compatible and that I would not be charged when it turned out that it was not compatible, I want the charge refunded
