      Complaint is about a sim card for a ******* cell phone that consumer cellular sent me to install,and that they assisted me to install by phone. Poor assistance to install sim card caused me to install it in phone incorrectly and make phone inoperable.I was forced to pay for old phone and buy a new phone at additional cost.I have been a customer for 10+ years and because of past loyalty and incompetent personel,I expect them to pick up some of the cost.They refused.I would suggest anyone to consider another option if they are looking for a cell phone.They are cheap,but you get what you pay for. Very poor customer service,incompetent personnel.I learned the hard way.

      had phone service with Consumer cellular for roughly a year. made the decision to Go with a mainstream service that included a better phone.Called Consumer Cellular to pay the final bill and discontinue service.Asked for a bill that included any final charges. This was paid in full.6 months later, I receive a bill for $19.95. They claim that there was a **** charge that was still on my bill from when It was closed. Now it had gained late fees and was going to collections.I asked to speak to a manager after the agent admitted that they made a mistake on the final bill, being it was not MY mistake, hoping they would clear things up. After sitting on hold for 20 Minutes, I gave up and **** the *******. NOT a *************

      Have been with Consumer Cellular for 3 years and have been VERY happy with them, wish we had switched sooner. Previously we had NET10 which was absolutely horrible. Consumer Cellular's customer service has been very responsive every time we have called them. Their staff has been very courteous and helpful We traveled to ********** last year and they helped ** to make sure our phones would work while we were there. Their rates were very reasonable and we had no problem connecting to family at home. Just got a new phone with them and it arrived in 3 days and was able to set it up immediately with NO problems. We have always had great coverage no matter where we go unlike our previous provider when we would have to stand on our porch to get any bars. We are also paying way way less for our plan without all the hassle and poor service we got from NET10. We are VERY VERY happy with them.

      Avoid this company. They lied to us. I spent all day trying to resolve the situation and they could have cared less. They have no physical customer service locations. I am happy to pay more for service and know that we will be taken care of.

      STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. Its been a living h*** since my husband and I signed up. It didnt work on my iPhone 8 ISSUES ON IPHONES so I canceled and went back to ATT. Then I was unable to keep my old phone number as they held on to it! my husband hasnt been able to use his voicemail Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else anywhere but them.

      I decided to switch over to Consumer Cellular from ******** It all went well until it was time to activate the *** card. I literally tried for three hours to activate it and all I got was frustration as it wouldn't work and I was without service for over 24 hours. 1. **************** closes at 5p.m. PST. 2. Brochures that accompanied the *** card state it has CHAT but it was unresponsive and unavailable.The next morning I called customer service and was immediately informed that I first needed to get a ******* porting number and provide my account number.Unbelievably, no where in any of the brochures and/or pamphlets was this vital step written! The agent said that many people have to call CS to get that information for this vital step.I pray that this is not indicative of its overall service.

      2hours on ??costumer service and still havent resolved issue! Spoke to supervisor who needed the **** # as I put him on a three way call to get it for him as Im blind, he abruptly hung up i had been on the ??over two hours to be hung up on by a supervisor. Definitely unprofessional yet I bought the protection plan to not get helped is truly false advertisement Square Trade was requesting more information I mustve repeated my name my security pin# address and the issue 8 times and still unresolved! I would NOT recommend this company to anyone! Im elderly I dont have internet or an email account but my neighbor whose ?? I borrowed is writing this statement/review.******************* *********, **
