I switched to ********************** to get better service which ended up being a nightmare! I went to a Target store to get started and could not find a single person working there for consumer cellular. The store manager at Target said there hadn't Been a ****** there in days at the Bayou B!vs store. So I was determined to talk to a rep and I looked up number and called them. After numerous calls and disconnected calls, finally I made contact with a sales rep. So I purchased a phone for my wife and I was told to call them when I got the phone and they would set everything up. When I called to set it up the sales rep disconnected me a number of times . finally a rep stayed on the line and could not connect new phone, messed up my phone and told me to go to the store where is no rep. *** very rude.I had 1 dot signal strength.. Not a bar, but a dot. So I went back to my old carrier less than 12 hrs from start to finish. The old carrier gladly took me back, straightened out my phone, reconnected wife's phone. So the ****** I learned is never try to set up a new online and never again deal with a rude rep . Their msg on the phone states 30 days to return phone for any reason and end service. Now they say I owe for service when the phone was not usable. Their service is not optimal for the ********* area and they have no sales reps. ********************** is the worst!!

After receiving our latest bill from ******* with a large price increase, we decided to switch our cellular service to Consumer Cellular. They had nice commercials and promoted their low-cost service for senior citizens. Unfortunately, the switch was not as simple as we expected.Consumer Cellular is supported by a US based customer service organization, and the majority of them had no idea what they were doing. They attempt to provide customers with customer service and technical support using a manual which was not easy to follow. What I kept hearing from them were excuses why our phones were not working instead of providing us with solutions.Anyhow, our switch to Consumer Cellular was a painful experience, and if we had to do it once again, we would not repeat the same mistake. Our problem started with the *** cards Consumer Cellular provided us to support our switch from *******. Unfortunately, one of the *** cards they mailed to us was bad. The technical support person in our local Target store was helpless. He was an independent contractor with limited technical knowledge and limited commitment/ability to solve our issues. He was being treated very poorly by his management and it reflected in his attitude toward us as Consumer Cellular customers. He managed to install the *** cards provided to us by Consumer Cellular but could not overcome the incompetency of the Consumer Cellular representatives with whom he was speaking on the phone. When something didnt work the generic solution provided by the Consumer Cellular representative was to Change a *** card. We ended up with two useless cell phones with no ability to receive phone calls or send/receive text messages. After changing a few *** cards with no real solution to our ongoing operational issues, and after wiping one of our phones clean by one of the Consumer Cellular contractors, my wife ended up in the Apple store. A very efficient associate referred her back to the ******* store (to pay our outstandin

I am a CC customer and was denied 0% financing to get a newer phone despite having been with them for several years. I have a credit score of 800+ and was told that I would qualify for the new phone with 0% financing in February ************************************************************* full. I haven't had any complaints with CC until now. ****************

I moved my cellular service from **** thinking I would get a better price with better service. I also needed a new phone. After buying a new Consumer Cellular Apple Iphone and having their service for nearly 4 weeks, I decided to discontinue my relationship with Consumer Cellular because I had continued problems with its service. When I went to move my service back to **** and to activate the new apple phone I got through Consumer Cellular with ****, I learned that my new phone was locked and needed Consumer Cellular to unlock it. Consumer Cellular informed me that in the contract that was displayed on their web page, it says that if I buy a new Apple Phone through them, I cant have it unlock for six month after I purchased it. This means that, even though I can cancel my service at anytime, I cant unlock my new phone for six months, locking me into a relationship with Consumer Cellular for six months.

Best customer service ! April agent ***** took her time to help me with a Data concern. I am not good with the new technology and she was extremely patient and understanding with my frustration. She is a true asset to Consumer Cellular. I would hope everyone was able to have her help you if you have a problem! Thank You so much April. Best to you Mrs *

Nothing but trouble since I started with this company. Trouble transferring data from old phone. Constant issues with the phone I bought from them. They won't replace the phone unless I do certain difficult things. Like get a home phone. This is additional cost. I have cancer and had surgery. This company is horrible.

I have been with Consumer Cellular for 7 years. Never had any issues with the service. I recently purchased a second iPhone from CC at the best price. Where else can you have two lines for $59? When I used ******* it was $75 for one phone and the worst service. I'm sticking with Consumer Cellular. It's hard for me to understand such negative reviews when it's been nothing but the best experience in my opinion.

Not an award winning experience on the part of Consumer Cellular. My phone stopped working, couldn't receive calls nor make calls. After three days of bandaids they are sending me a new one but it must be sent to me via ***** Not next day! It is 9/9/2022 and I'll be lucky to receive it by next Friday. I am medically compromised and rely on my phone very much. BS customer service .

Consumer Cellular requires its customers to use the last four digits of our social security numbers in order to identify ourselves in their automated system. The reason? "Our customers tend to be older and to have difficulty remembering numbers. They often get confused. We find this is a number many can manage to remember."Ageist in the extreme. Insulting.I have repeatedly asked that I be allowed to use a different 4-digit number. Nope: I can ADD a 6-digit code which requires me to get through to a live representative--and CC does not operate its customer service 24/7; hold ***** can be brief....or over an hour long. You never know. Even if I add this second code, thereby relinquishing the ability to use their automated system EVER, they will not remove the last four of my SSN from their system. If it is my BANK, my EMPLOYER, or the **** they can ask for my SSN..... but not every ***, ****, and ***** of a service provider or seller of a product should be permitted to require I use any part of my SSN to log into my account with them or to access automated bill pay, etc.NEXT: I told C. Cellular when I first signed up that I wanted AT& T's network (we were supposedly allowed to choose), and much later, after calls not getting through (not even ringing) texts not received in either direction, and excruciatingly long ************************ ***** on texts with, say, just one photo attached, I called and was informed I'd been given a ******** SIM card. They did send me a new SIM, but now I have to pull the phone apart and insert it. They should have done what they promised at the outset.

Very deceptive company. Does not do what it advertises on there website, in respect to the online order screen. Requires a "Due Today Amount", but after speaking to a representive, the amount was "plus tax", which was not clairified in the order process (online). Needless to say we were not able to place our order for new phones. Consumer Cellular says they cater to seniors, we don't think so. Sept.6, 2022
