On 2/17/2023 ************************* knocked on my door representing Homp Repair about going through our neighborhood getting roofs fixed from the 2022 Hail storm we had. Payment would be collected from our insurance company with a minimal amount out of pocket depending on our deductible. Work was to begin 12-16 weeks after signing the contract. All monies were received by them from my insurance company and come June 2023, the project had not started. I called ***** numerous times and he passed me off to "production" and was informed that production was pushed out due to shortages in roofing supplies. I waited with no more updates from them until September when I continued to call and requested more timely updates to no avail. I started requesting my money back and was told another department would reach out to me regarding cancelation. I did not request a cancelation. I demanded my money returned due to the work not being performed per the contract and asking numerous times if i was being scammed. It then came down to they are fighting with *************************** in Florida from ******* Adjustment who took all the money and insurance companies not paying in a timely manner. *************************** started to send emails regarding complaints he was receiving from customers about Home Repair. He suggested reaching out to the Attorney General and filing a complaint. When I told Home Repair about that, they stated that he has kept all monies so it is now a he said, she said. My last contact in December was via email with "*******" and "*******" telling me to email the escalation team on my install for future inquiries. I have now sent email inquiries to the escalation email with no responses. The date now is 1/1/2024.Customer Answer

Home repair has taken my insurance money sat on it for a year hasn't completed the work. They have blocked my number while I am under contract and completely neglected to replace the tarp in which they put on the wrong side of the damaged roof. They continue to delay the work from being done because their contractor ******************* threatened to assault me. I either demand the work to be done or need all my money back.Customer Answer

Home repair had stopped replying to my emails completely and blocked my phone number. i have had to file a Civil Suit to be able to retain my money in the amount of 5014 dollars. my hearing is January 16th.

This company came to my house stating that they could get us a new roof and siding, covered by our insurance, due to hail damage. This was great news because we have had leaks in our ceiling ever since. We went through the whole procedure. Everything was approved and picked out and we just had to wait for it to be our turn. They e-mailed us saying they needed the checks from the insurance company signed over to them so they could purchase the materials. After that I was receiving weekly text messages from a representative keeping me informed of an expected project date. Those texts eventually stopped. After a while I could not get a hold of the company via text, e-mail, or phone. That is where I stand now. I still get some water in my ceiling, and the company has all of my money and has virtually disappeared.Initial Complaint

I signed a contract with Home Repair to fix my roof and siding after hail damage from April 2023. I signed the contract on August 9, 2023. My mortgage company and I endorsed the insurance payment to them in the amount of $20,041.39. They were very responsive for the first couple of months saying the delay was due to product supply and/or finding contractors or insurance difficulties because there are ~8 families in my neighborhood who contracted with them.I would love to have the job completed but I'm scared they are no longer in business. I would prefer now to have the money returned so that I can contract someone else.Within the last two weeks, every number I call at their main number ************ I get an voicemail that no one is there to answer the call. I've been calling ************** since September 2023. I've left voice-mails, left messages with both the answering service and live agents regarding a leak which is now a hole in my bathroom ceiling. Noone has returned my calls. There's mold on the ceiling which is a health issue. Home Repair needs to come out and assess damage. I had an insurance claim due to the leak. Roof was replaced in 2022.Business Response

I hired Home Repair last year to redo my roof. At that point in time I had no leaks and my roof was okay just needed to be redone due to age etc. After all the paper work and contracts were signed my insurance paid them there portion and I paid them mine. I was told by ************************* the gentalman who came out initally and gave me and my insurance company the quote that I would have my roof completed around August. August came and I reached out and no answer to when my roof was going to be completed. I then spoke to another employee at Home Repair ( via email) and she told me that they are so far behind and that it will be about 12 weeks. We are now at then end of November and my roof started leaking. I called and called and no answer. Any time you call the company all the numbers and all the options go to voicemail you can not physically speak to someone. I went on there online website and tried to call teh 24/7 Emergency number which they advertise and still it goes to a voicemail. I emailed a ************************* for the last week in a half and all she keeps telling me is that she forward my complaint to management. I have asked for someone to call me several times and still no anwers. My roof is leaking so bad its now coming into my grandsons room. On July 6, 2022, I Signed a Service Agreement with *************************** - Property Inspector Home Repair LLC. King of Prussia, Pa. to Replace my Roof. He met with my Ins. Co. and filed a claim. A check from ********** Ins was issued to ******* ******** -Public Adjuster for Home Repair LLC. for $19,465.04, as required to start production. the Contract states - estimated start 12-14 weeks. Since that date I have been given updated start times and excuses. In August 2023 they delivered roofing materials which are in my driveway. I am still waiting for my roof instillation. On 3/30/2023 my new roof was paid for. I have yet to receive my new roof when it was promised in 16 to 20 weeks. Home Repair just keeps coming up with excuse after excuse such as weather covid materials and now most recent laborers. My roof is in very poor condition and all they have done is put a bandaid on it. Everytime it rains I have to worry about more leaks and/or even worse. This is unacceptable as roof should have been installed no later than August. No one is getting there work done by this company. They have all bad reviews and now have blocked and removed their reviews. I have heard people reporting Home Repair to the Attorney General which I am in process of doing. I just want my money back as there are many trustworthy, efficient, roofers that would install my roof as soon as possible. I am in a dire situation and unfortunately *************************** of Home Repair is ignoring my emails over the last month or so. This company is very unreliable. They told me due to very poor condition of my roof mine could probably be done before the 16 to 20 weeks they gave me. This is unexcusable that is wasn't installed. Actually the one review that was the their website had the little bit of work they did do was very poor and they would have to replace it in 2 years anyway. I would like refund so that I can resolve my situation with a local reputable roofer asap. Home Repair only cares about the money and not at all about the consumer. This has been a long journey with Home Repair. We signed a contract with them in 2021 and after a very long time waiting, we did get our roof done, which was paid for by our insurance provider. The customer support team was in communication regarding the delays. we did, however pay up front towards getting the gutters done. We submitted a deposit and I have the contract with the notations. We had our roof done in September and they said they'd be by shortly after to do the gutters. I was communicating with *******, the customer service person who had always previously helped when she went dark for weeks. I tried to call her and her phone was disconnected. The website no longer works and I can't get in touch with anyone via any social media platform to find out when (and if) they're ever coming to do the gutters that we paid for.Initial Complaint

I entered into a contract with Home Repair on November 15, 2022 after a previous insurance claim was denied for roof damage and Home Repair assisted with getting that claim overturned. The CEO/Owner of the company, *******************, was the individual I worked with when initially getting the claim reversed and determining the scope of work to be completed on our home. At the time of signing the contract, we were told that our project would begin and complete within 8-10 weeks due to the time of the season and their current workload. After 8 weeks and no communication from the company passed, we reached out in April to be told that our project was due to be completed by the end of summer. The end of summer came and in September we were told that our projected would be completed by the end of October. We are now at the end of October and I have received zero communication. I have contacted the attorney general's office to get advice on how to proceed and when mentioning the company I was working with, they acknowledged there have been numerous complaints lodged. We are now in a position where we will have to come out of pocket to complete the repairs on our own or hire an attorney to get the insurance money that was disbursed to Home Repair back to us. This company is highly unprofessional and, based on my experience up to this point, a fraudulent and predatory company looking to intentionally defraud insurance companies and the individuals they promise to help.
