      My elderly mother had an auto loan through PNC Bank. I did not want her to worry about monthly payments so I called and asked if I could pay a large amount, that it would cover payments for a year, they said yes. I made a $20,000 payment and received a late notice the next month. I called and was told they put the payment to principal and it did not replace payments. The woman I spoke to on the phone apologized and said she had made the correction in the payment and gave me a date, 10 months out, of when the next payment was due. A month later a notice was received that there was late payments and no payments had been made since my $20,000 payment. I called once again and was told they do NOT accept payments that put off monthly payments and an investigation would have to be done to see if they can return the late fees, which included me jumping through hoops. I ended up paying off the balance and not dealing with PNC Bank again. DO NOT do any business with this bank.

      Fraud institution who steals customers money and then makes them wait ***** hours after they deposit money before they can use it.Theyve gotten rid of all of their regular bank teller locations in favor of robots and now theyre using the robots as a front to steal customers money.

      My brother, who is an incoming international graduate student at ****, and I visited the branch to open a student account for him.We were asked by a staff member at the booth to fill out an application form, which we did promptly. I also checked in for an appointment with an account representative to proceed with the account opening. However, after waiting for over 60 minutes, we had not been attended to.Eventually, an employee named ****** approached us and questioned why we were not at an international student session that was taking place. We were unaware of this session, and when we explained our situation, Alfreds response was less than welcoming. He made comments regarding our nationality and differences in processes between countries, which we found inappropriate.While I understand that there may have been some miscommunication or misunderstanding, the way in which this was handled by ****** left us feeling uncomfortable. His approach seemed unnecessarily harsh, and it was not the level of service we expected. When I told him this was unacceptable since we already filled the form and waited an hour, he took a threatening tone saying that I am not helping the situation as my brother will be unable to open an account if I continue to talk more.I would appreciate it if this matter could be looked into, as we believe that all customers, especially those new to the country, should be treated with patience and respect. I hope that steps will be taken to ensure a more positive experience for others in the future.Thank you for your attention to this matter.

      Unintelligent employees, in any branch I go to or no matter who I get on the phone. Wait times are so ridiculous, one day I spent a total of 4hrs dealing the stupidity of PNC.

      PNC bank stole our rent money We had made money orders to pay our rent. We turned them into the complex office and they informed us that they do not accept money orders. So we went to the bank (pnc bank in ***************) to see if we can deposit the money orders in exchange for a cashiers check. Absolutely worst decision we could've ever made.... the clerk took our money orders and filed them into a fraud case! We had our identification, we had receipts, we had everything to prove that we bought them... but they took our money orders against our will and then when we spoke to the manager, she claimed it's not their fault.... like hellloooo, you guys took our money orders and filled them for fraud! Now, we're out of our entire rent check and they just laughed it off like it wasn't a big deal.... if you value your time and your money. You will stay far away from pnc bank. They will try to get you arrested for simply wanting to use their services to pay bills. I wish I could give a zero star rating. Absolute joke of a bank. They 1000000% don't trust their customers and will do you no good in any aspect of banking Date of experience: August 12, 2024

      absolutely ridiculous!!! after an hour and a half on the phone with customer service they couldn't help me at all. they just kept sending me to all different people. ridiculous

      I had suspicious activity on my card. My debit card was froze. I live now 300 miles away from the nearest pnc bank. So for over a week I've been without a way to get funds to buy anything including food. I expedited my card for $25 and was told it would be overnighter. That is bogus it was sent at 9am yesterday and today I was told that it could take up to another 48 hours to arrive. Now a stamped envelope would have arrived in the same amount of time. Why pay to overnight it if it won't arrive for to 3 days? I'm sure pnc doesn't care that a customer needs access to their account, but this customer does care. I will be changing banks to a bank that actually appreciates their customers.

      PNC Bank talked my elderly dad who has early dementia into putting a large portion of his money into a multiple 2-year CDs that got only 0.03%. It took me almost half a year to have them put my Power of Attorney on file to try and fix this. Even after I got it on file, they continuously told me it wasn't on file after having me on hold with customer service for over an hour each time. Just today I tried to close out one of these CDs since it just matured and they told me they couldn't find my POA and I couldn't do close it out without me coming into a branch. I'm unfortunately almost 2 hours away from the closest branch. It took me 1.5 hours on the phone with 4 customer service agents, EACH ONE told me there was no POA and then went on to find it. No agent provided my information to the next agent. Now we're still stuck with a CD at PNC Bank. They are absolutely predatory preying on senior citizens. And then they trap you there no matter what you do. I'd be surprised if we ever get access to my dad's money. DO NOT EVER BANK WITH PNC BANK.
