Credit Management Company has been attempting to collect a debt I incurred in 2015. Their first successful contact occurred in June 2023, as they had been attempting to reach me at an address that I haven't lived at in several years. I asked that they send me a bill in the mail. I received another call today, during which I told them I hadn't received the bill. They insinuated that I was being dishonest, badgered me about not paying the debt over the last 8 years (even though I was unaware of the debt), and kept trying to force me to pay over the phone, even after I told them multiple times that I was not comfortable with doing so. I requested multiple times that they send me another bill in the mail and they consistently refused, again insinuating that I was being dishonest with them. They gave me an ultimatum of paying it over the phone, after which I told them that they were really pissing me off with the badgering and calling me a liar. I told them to send me the bill in the mail, and I was hanging up. The manager I was speaking at that point refused and hung up.
I don't have any documents from them with account numbers, etc. on them because I don't have the bill they claim to have sent me in June 2023, and they are unwilling to send me another.Business Response

This company has been calling me from a number that says "potential spam" ************. When they call they go over my birthdate and my name. They have never verified my address. But they tell me they are calling about a medical bill. I have asked them each and every time they have called as to what hospital this is through, because at the date of service they gave me I had 2 insurances that should have covered everything. They keep telling me South Georgia Medical. I have Never been to a hospital by that name. I have asked multiple times for a copy of the bill, I need to see proof where this is from. On 6/21/2023 I got the call again at 8am. I kept asking the rep over and over for the information for the billing. Instead he transferred me to the supervisor. The supervisor wanted to argue with me, I told him they must stop calling me until they can prove to me where this bill is actually coming from. The supervisor yelled at me, called me a "retard" and hung up on me. at 11am they called again, I refused to answer. and at 3pm they called again, I spoke to the rep. He stated he cant give me more information, as that is all they have. I got mad and hung up the phone. I am also going to file this complaint with FTC. As I feel like they are not being honest and are now harassing me.Business Response

Totally unprofessional. Made a payment in April and in May the plan was canceled for not paying. The bill was sent to the wrong address. They had wrong address on file when i spoke the them the 8th. Professional refused to acknowledge that. He said he had notes but would not say that was in it when i verified address on May 8. He would not help and said unless I am making a payment that he was moving on and I would have to call back again for someone else. They try to intimidate you on the phone and are nothing but rude and incompetent. I tried paying my bill to them with a set up payment plan we agreed upon and they canceled it with no cause. I should be reimbursed for my time of having to deal with it.Business Response

Account number: *********
Balance: $549.00
Date Opened: 01/24/2023
I received a notice that I have a collection from COLLECTION MANAGEMENT on my credit report. It says it was opened on 01/24/2023 for $549.00 with account number starting in ********* that I am not aware of nor am I responsible for. I never went into business with this company or signed any agreements with them so they should not be reporting anything on my credit. I would like for this collection to be removed ASAP or I will file a CFPB and FTC report.Business Response

CMC contacted me to collect on a past due copayment for my husband who I am separated from but for whom I pay medical insurance for so I am the guarantor. I didn't know the account was past due until they called me for the account in September 2022. I paid the bill on Sept 26, 2022 with my HSA debit card and made it clear I would need a receipt to file with the charge. They assured me the receipt would be in the mail that week. I went on a 3 week vacation that following week and had my mail held by the USPS; when I returned, the receipt was not in my mail. I called Nov 4, Nov 14 and Nov 18, 2022 and Jan 4, 20223 and each time was told the receipt WOULD be mailed. I never received it. I called again on March 13, 2023 and asked for a supervisor and was told everyone works from home so no phone transferring is possible. I was also told that they mailed me a receipt and they only mail a receipt out once. I asked her to read my address back to me and told her my apt # was not included and asked that she mail it again. She said they only mail receipts once so NO I would not be getting a receipt unless they decide to make an exception but it's unlikely. I told her this is for my HSA and the IRS is involved. She said sorry nothing she can do about it. We basically got into a verbal altercation because she was so unwilling to help in any way and tried to talk over me so I couldn't say anything, even though it was their mistake for not including my apt # on the initial receipt mailing. I have no recourse to prove to my HSA that this payment was for a Health related issue. In fact, I don't know what I paid for. CMC could have just taken $515.05 of my money fraudulently and not want to send me a receipt for that reason. How do I get a receipt from them that shows what I paid for, detailing what debt they collected on? I've attached the proof of payment from my HSA with their request for a receipt and call logs showing all the times I've called them.Business Response

Medical collections has been put on my credit report last week 04/15/2023 in total of $1900 from 2 different creditors. One for $1250 from collections management and another 689 dollar debt from common wealth financial. I never received any bills prior to this, and didn't receive any medical treatment from the original debtors. Tried reaching out to the creditors and they didn't have any information. I truly don't know where this come from and worked hard on my credit. The two creditors are Common wealth financial, and Collections management. Thank you very much for your help. If there is anything that I'm missing please let me know.Business Response
