This company is a shady debt collector who purchased a debt that had been removed from my credit report due to age of account. They re-reported the debt as a new debt and never sent me a debt validation letter or tried to contact me whatsoever. Just went straight to reporting it and hurting my good credit score.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: yes they removed the accounts from my ********************** report after I called twice and argued with them-and they still said I was wrong, yet here we are. The accounts never should have been added to collections in the first place because of the age of the accounts. Because of their actions my credit plummeted 89 points. I urge anyone that has an account on their ********************** report from these people that they do their due diligence and verify the account. Seems to me theyre just out to try and make quick money on debt they purchased for ******* on the dollar.Initial Complaint

I have an unrecognizable debt that I have no knowledge of from this company. This company Credit Management has a collection on my credit report as well. It should not be part of my record. The account with was fraudulently opened and placed on my credit report as of 08/24/24. Ive been trying to contact CREDIT MANAGEMENT COMPANY/COLLECTION MANAGEMENT/********************** to remove the debt on several occasions but you cannot reach them to speak to anyone. I have not done business with CREDIT MANAGEMENT COMPANY/COLLECTION MANAGEMENT/********************** and I have not signed a contract with credit management company. I dont owe this debt and I am not liable to pay this debt. Ive never received written or verbal communication from CREDIT MANAGEMENT COMPANY/COLLECTION MANAGEMENT/********************** and would like for the debt to be removed from my credit report. This company reported a debt to my credit report. However, it is not my debt. The debt belongs to a person who has a different name and different address. I called this company telling them that it is not mine. The representative who answered the phone was very hostile and even refused to send me the bill for debt validation. They clearly violated the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). As of today, I never received any notice or bill from them. I reviewed my Consumer Reports and noticed that there was an inaccurate accounts(s) on my ********************** report ACCOUNT NAME: ********************** ACCOUNT# ******** BALANCE: $505 ACCOUNT OPENED: 10/10/2024 I am not liable for this debt with CREDIT MANAGEMENT COMPANY. I do not have a contract with CREDIT MANAGEMENT COMPANY. They did not provide me with the original contract as requested. I am afraid they have identified the wrong person. According to 15 U.S. Code 6802 Obligations with respect to disclosures of personal information. They illegally reported my information to unaffiliated third parties without giving me the required disclosures and proof that this debt belongs to me. I have not received any validation of debt as required by the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and Regulation F (12 CFR 1006.34(b)(5)). I have not been given the opportunity to dispute this account as required by 12 CFR 1006.34(c)(4)(i). Your actions in placing this collection on my credit report without proper validation and dispute resolution violate my consumer rights. Than, your failure to provide all required disclosures under 12 CFR 1006.34(d) and 15 USC 1681-S2(7)(A) constitutes a clear violation of federal law. I demand they immediately cease all collection activity on this debt and remove any negative information related to the debt off my credit report, until you can provide a copy of the original purchase agreement that details the terms of the debt. Proof of your licensing and bonding as required by applicable state laws. Validation of the debt as required by 12 CFR 1006.34(b)(5) and amount owed. Also demand you immediately cease all communication attempts to contact me by phone, mail, email, or text message. Failing to take necessary steps to correct this matter will force me to take further legal action. I'm entitled to compensation for every right you've violated.
