I brought a gift ya for a friend to redeem at Ulta Beauty and sent it via text and she never received it although it charged my debit card. I’ve read several negative reviews in which many said don’t buy this product and that it’s a scam. I believe them but unfortunately I read reviews afterwards.Business Response

Thank you for your message. In response our Director of Customer Care has left you a voicemail and sent you a follow up email offering support and assistance.
"In looking at the order we do show the GiftYa was originally sent to the recipient’s phone ending ***** It was then changed to be delivered to their email.
It is recommend that we send this again to the user’s phone so they can redeem their gift. Once we resend it the recipient, they will get a text with a claim link. Once resent it would be great if we could verify that the recipient received the message and was able to claim the gift. The beauty of GiftYa is the recipient has a number of redemption options to choose from.
We look forward to engaging with you or directly dealing with your recipient if you wish.Thank you

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********* and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Hi, it shows that the recipient received the gift but she has not received a text even when I tried resending the text myself. This company can make loads of money taking money and not sending the gift via text. Luckily I only did a 25 dollar gift. Many others have complained and said this is a scam in which they have lost money. This company should be shut down and sued for damages. If I don’t receive a refund I may consult with a class action attorney.

bought three GIftyas. Put wrong phone number in for one. wanted to correct it to give the third gift.
site says that error easy to correct. that is a lie. no matter how i try, it will not allow me to make the correction....just flips the page back to before the attempt. There is no way to personally contact them to correct this and I have no way of knowing the status of the order. is it cancelled and I can place another? Is it not cancelled and if I place another, will the original stay there forever?Business Response

I purchased an e-gift card as a gift from giftya.com to be sent to my recipient's phone via text message. At the time of purchase all seemed well. Today,9/08/2023, the date chosen for delivery, I have received nothing but messages stating my gift card could not be delivered. I contacted the merchant, I have verified and contacted the recipient, and have done all asked of me to no avail. Still no gift card. Just pressure from the merchant to give out another phone number to someone else so the merchant can send the alleged gift card to someone else. I refuse to put any one else through all this much less give out any more numbers or personal information. Generally I would understand no refunds for such a product, but I SHOULD receive a refund as nothing on my part or my recipient's has caused such incompetence from this company. Quite frankly it is not incompetence, but actually is a scam. Only my stupidity has added another victim to their scam.Business Response

Thank you, ******* for posting your comments with the Better Business Bureau. I called you, received your voicemail, but could not leave a message because it was full.
I apologize for the confusion.
I see the communication with GiftYa’s support team starting this morning, Friday, September 8, 2023, at 6:13AM ET.
As shared, it seems your recipient’s mobile device was shut off so the gift text could not immediately be delivered.
We are always committed to provide the best possible service. Despite being outside GiftYa’s clearly disclosed refund policy, at 10:19AM ET you received written confirmation the refund was processed.
At 10:22AM ET you replied “I do appreciate your time and assistance. Thank you for refunding the purchase amount. I hope you have a good day and weekend.”
I am sending you an email, so you have my complete contact information.
I am available to speak with you and thank you!

GiftYa is using our name and logo to sell egift cards without our permission. In fact we have reached out to them to ask them to stop using our business name and logo to sell their products, but they continue to mislead and confuse our customers by advertising that they sell ********** Florist, ***********, and Garden Design egift cards".Business Response

Thank you, ****** for posting your comments with the Better Business Bureau and the call today.
Your business listing has been removed from GiftYa as requested.
GiftYa only promotes businesses with contractual authorizations. All the national merchants seen on GiftYa have provided express contractual approval to represent them.
For smaller & independent businesses, GiftYa often receives authorization through third parties representing many retailers. GiftYa received authorization to promote your business under an agreement with ‘Priority Technology Holdings’ which is a payment and data processing company.
Please contact me with any questions including any further reference to an alleged relationship between your business and Priority Technologies.

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I appreciate Mr C**** removing this unauthorized listing from Giftya website. We not use Priority for our gift cards, which is what Giftya's listing claimed they were selling, so I am unaware how this could be an authorized use of our name and logo. If the business can update the resolution to simply state the have removed us and not claim make other claims (without evidence) then I can accept the resolution.

On July 2, 2023 I placed an order for two $100 visa gift cards, plus was charged a fee.
I was notified the order went through.
Less than an hour later I was told that my order was cancelled and couldn’t be processed yet still I was charged INCLUDING the fee. I received an email and was also told that there was no way to resolve this issue by email, by phone, or by submitting a ticket.
So basically there is no way to resolve the issue at all. This company is a fraud.Initial Complaint

My Son gave me a fathers Day gift for Perkins Restaurant for $50.00, or so he thought.
The company that ended up with the money is called GIFTYA which you HAVE to have a cell phone to redeem. I do not own a cell phone. Their return policy is "In the interest of processing orders as quickly as possible, all sales are final and are non-refundable. " I firmly believe any company thats "Too Busy" to return someones money IS A SCAM. My son thought he was dealing with Perkins.
I don't really care about the lousy fifty bucks, BUT people should be warned about this company.Business Response

The website homepage has very large message for gift buyers stating, “Text or email an eGift in seconds.”
Your eGift was sent on June 18, 2023, at 5:01AM ET to your msn.com email address. Your $50 Perkins gift was accessed June 19, 2023, at 10:38AM ET with cell phone ending in -0144.
GiftYa offers recipients four (4) redemption options including 1) linking the gift to a regular Credit or Debit card, 2) selecting a traditional digital merchant eGift card, or 3) receiving the gift value in cash vis Zelle, or 4) selecting a plastic VISA card.We have no record of any support requests from you, ****. I was looking for an online gift card for Guitar Center for my dad for Father’s Day. The guitar center directed me to this website so I thought it was trust worthy. I put an order for a $50 gift card to be sent to my dad via txt message. I filled out all the information needed and chose Apple Pay. I went to check out and as the payment was going through something popped up saying that there was an issue and it couldn’t go through. I assumed it didn’t charge my card but it did charge my card. I did not get a confirmation email or text. The gift card was still in the shopping cart as if I hadn’t purchased it yet but it did charge my card. I cannot find a number to call and request a refund or anything. I am very upset as a costumer this is fishy and untrustworthy. Especially with how hard times are now, you try to do something nice but you just get scammed instead. I will bring this to my lawyer and have it resolved professionally if it does not get done by this company.Business Response

Your order could not be processed because the payment card information you provided could not be verified. To protect cardholders and card issuers, orders must include accurate payment information.
You may independently verify this information with your payment card issuer.

I ordered an "E-Visa gift card," waited about 1.5 hrs for the recipient to finally receive it, needed a code to retrieve the card, waited another 45 minutes for the code. Opened the "E-Gift card"for it to be a "we'll mail you the gift card", which can take up to ten, yes TEN business days for a card that was supposed to be delivered virtually. This business does not offer a refund, and this is a SCAM!!! I want my money back. What this company is doing is VERY wrong and deceptive.Initial Complaint

As a normal safety precaution, your payment card issuer requested you verify the purchase prior to approving the purchase. One of GiftYa’s many redemption options is an Uber Eats eGift card.
GiftYa gift givers and recipients have clear information on the four (4) redemption options. We also offer traditional digital and physical gift cards at our other websites www.PerfectGift.com and www.GiftCardGranny.com.
GiftYa offers recipients four (4) redemption options including 1) linking the gift to a regular Credit or Debit card, 2) selecting a traditional digital merchant eGift card, or 3) receiving the gift value in cash vis Zelle, or 4) selecting a plastic VISA card.
Many recipients prefer to link their normal payment card due to its flexibility, ease of use and security. As clearly indicated with the gift, recipients may choose any of the redemption options and are NEVER REQUIRED to link a payment card.
I am sending you an email, so you have my full contact information. I welcome any feedback on how GiftYa can make the process clearer.

I purchased a $25 Amazon gift card today. 6/15/23, through the Giftya website. The purchase was deducted from my checking account, but the company refused to send the card, claiming they needed more verification.
