This company has the worst possible customer service! The communication is nonexistent with the client and between departments. Just try to get your own money disbursed. it is like they are giving out THEIR life savings and not yours. Do not invest your retirement money with this company you will surely regret it!

Had a baby November 1st. Claims adjuster sent paperwork to the incorrect HR person. Kept emailing and calling to let her know. NO RESPONSE. Then I kept calling customer service to give them the correct information and they sent the form out. One minute they tell you, “oh it takes 24 hours to get the paperwork in our system” then another person says, “ it takes 24-48 hours” then another person says, “oh it takes 5-7 days”. When you are needing SHORT TERM DISABILITY funds after having a kid or whatever the case may be, IT SHOULD NOT TAKE 1,000 days to get your funds. People have bills, need food, gas, baby formula and people are constantly playing around at Lincoln Financial. It has been 10 DAYS, and I still do not have my funds and the holiday is coming up which will probably delay it even more. Worst experience of my life!!!!!!!!

The worst company I've ever dealt with. They will do anything they can to drag your case out for as long as it takes for you to give up trying to get money that's yours. They will not respond to emails or answer phones. My case worker Kristen rozzen or whatever her name is has done absolutely nothing. It has been others that have answered to tell me she made zero changes and is not working on my case. When a doctor says you're excused for a medical condition, why exactly do you have a doctor? To object our doctors so you can deny claims. I've been out of work now and passing kidney stones for 2 months now and no help from this company. Worst pain of my life and all I can think of is how am I going to keep my lights on and feed my kids.

LINCOLN FINANCIAL GROUP , The worst company, they have people who don't know what are doing, and have no experience, worst they give answers without knowing. In addition I'm been working with my WELLS FARGO ADVISOR trying to help with the process. I been 17 years with Lincoln and now at 66 years old I decided to take the income 4 life, they gave me an illustration and based on it I decided to take it, I signed the contract and at the time of the execution they say that it was just an illustration, wow wow company like this doing this, all my data, numbers , contract name , and others were current . They are seeing if I can cancel it. I don't recommend working with them, unless you want to take risks.
I DONT BELIEVE BASED IN THE BAD REVIEWS OF THIS COMPANY CAN BE AT A+ WOUUUU

My company offers 16 weeks of PAID maternity leave yet Lincoln Financial feels it is appropriate to only approve 10 weeks of maternity leave to begin a month and a half after my baby was born. No explanation for this nonsense, just a continuation of the incompetence from my STD claim. The Supervisor Alexa stated my STD claim was denied but I would receive my timely denial letter. (Never happened.) Later, I get a voicemail from the claim representative Howerton stating the STD claim is approved. My payroll department stated nothing in their system showing an approval and my bank account confirms payrolls assertion. So I am in STD limbo and maternity leave purgatory thanks to Lincoln Financial Group. This is my first time ever requesting a leave of absence and let me tell you it has been an utterly disappointing, disgraceful and unprofessional experience. There must be other organizations that can correctly process a leave of absence/maternity request.

My email to them, below, says it all:

I'm copying the customer service team solely because I need help and I cannot get any type of a meaningful response from the claims area.

Per my most recent conversation with my case manager, Octavia Harris, the nurse reviewing my disability claim suggested denial, based partially on my physician not indicating a need for time off or how long. I discussed this with my physician, who provided me with a copy of the information provided to Lincoln Financial. The last page explicitly states, "Recommend time off work for the next 6 weeks for mental health considerations." I've reattached the report for review.

This entire process has been awful. I've been unable to reach anyone to discuss my claim, sometimes for 2 weeks at a time. It's clear that the information provided by my physician was not thoroughly reviewed, and I've now gone approaching 3 pay cycles with no pay.

I feel I've been discriminated against because my claim is not being acted upon, as it is a mental health issue and not a straight-forward physical ailment. I have been hospitalized twice in the past for suicide attempts, and asked for help this time before reaching that point. I'm now being penalized because my current state is "not severe enough to warrant time away from the job."

I've been more than patient with the process, but it's reached the point where it's unacceptable and I've reached out to an attorney for guidance.

I have been on short term disability my claim was approved almost 2 months later after I spoke to three or four different agents. Finally my actually claim case agent called after almost 2 months and asked why I couldn't work. I was really stumped as I had told a few agents before and even called to give them my direct deposit info. She had no idea of this nor any record of this. Baffled me as I've been on disability for over a month and a half. They approved my claim for over a grand and then said they sent out a check. Of course then called to apologize to me again to tell me that they see that I called for my direct deposit and of course thag note just sat there and nothing came of it as now they claim they cannot simply cancel the check and direct deposit the funds. It's been 2 weeks and no sign of this check. It's of course complete bs that they can't cancel the check and have to wait for it to arrive. This has been a terrible experience and have gotten more sorries from this company than I can handle and have missed even more work from instability from funds I should have received over a month ago. The agents have all but admitted to me thag they cannot do anything so I'm curious why have them there at all- except to ensure payments are not received. Added to the irony every single review I had said this was going to happen. Saying they have released funds but something always always happens where it's in the mail or direct deposit doesn't directly deposit. They have records of how many times we've spoken and how many times I've been apologiezed to yet I'm still waiting on this elusive check that cannot be canceled until I receive it. Ontop of having a new disease ontop of my already immune problem disease I have trying to kill me Lincoln has done nothing but add stress and depression to me and caused me to consider killing myself as I've had no stability while on disability. If someone apologizes to me one more time im done...

How can they be an A+ company when they have all these complaints? They said my life insurance lapsed, and I owe all this money. I sent them six months' worth of bank statements and showed them that I was missing only one payment. They claim that I missed 3. I paid the balance of what I owed, and they still say that they never received it when I have proof that they got my fax and that it shows on my bank statement.
