1 starIn May 16 I had my Windshield Window replaced in the ************************** ** location. Prior to that I received many emails and confirmations with the cost of the windshield in which I would have to pay the deductible and I even chose to pay an extra windshield for my windows. The total was $572ish. In late June I received a letter informing me that I owed an additional almost $500 for my window replacement. I file a claim with *** and was involved with both companies. At the end AAA after speaking with the regional director of ******** informed me that ******** had concluded it was on them and they would cover the difference. Today October I received a collectors notice from ******** for the money owed. I try calling the business and the answering robot didnt know how to transfer me to a human to question about the claim both with *** and the other company. I am very angry that this issue which supposedly was resolved by *** is back to haunt me. I have never owed money and will not settle for this unfair resolution when I was clearly told I was not at fault after they did their due diligence. Getting a hold of Aaa for anything other than car emergencies is cyber some of not impossible.Review fromKevin B

1 starI called the company as I had misplaced my card to see if I was still active with them, my local office had no idea and was rude. I ended up signing up with another road service company. I recently found my card that states my roadside assistance is good until 4/1/26, yet my policy is cancelled as of 10/3/24. I recently called and wanted to see about a rebate for the remaining time and was told I would not get one, my auto-pay would be shut off and my membership with them will continue until the expiration date. Yet, I am still cancelled. I do not understand this company.Review fromGary S

1 starI was more than half way through AAA New York Driver Improvement Program and upon completing my current course I received an message saying that my status was blocked and I could not continue through the course. I called the number on the course page and spoke to a representative by the name of ****** she then told me that nothing could be done to unblock it and I would have to purchase the course again. I then asked about a refund as this was a complete waste of my time spent in the course and money. She did not help me in either of front. No one should purchase an online course from them, this was unacceptable.Review fromArt F

1 starIf I could I'd give 1/8 of a star. Very disappointed with AAA roadside service. Called at 9pm. Said they would arrive at 9.45p. NO-one came. ............................At 10p called again: "drivers shift ended". So they will be coming at *****. No one came. Called at 11:00p. Now they are coming at 1.00 am. I called at 9 pm and MAYBE they'll show up at 1am?Review fromMatthew K

1 starTerrible Experience with AAA Insurance I was involved in an accident that wasnt my fault, and the person who hit me has AAA insurance. AAA didnt reach out to me for over a week, and I had to call them myselfwhile on vacationto even start the process. Initially, they told me I couldnt keep my car at my preferred shop, but once I pushed back, they suddenly changed their stance and allowed it. This deceptive tactic was frustrating. To make matters worse, they lowballed me on the value of my totaled car, despite the fact that I have receipts for every bolt and all the maintenance done. They were unprofessional in response to my fair valuation. Then, they yanked my rental car, leaving me without transportation to work.I feel like nothing more than a number to them. Even if I had accepted their offer, how could I buy a car on a weekday with a full-time job? I couldnt even have the rental until the weekend to make arrangements. I didnt ask to be in this situation, but now Im left scrambling, trying to figure out how to provide for my family and do basic things like get groceries. Now I am fighting for a fair value of my car, left without a car.Review fromAAA Membership Not Worth It! l

1 starNOT EVEN WORTH ONE STAR!My tire blew out on Route 95 in ********** at approximately 11:30 am today (9/3/2024). I was able to maneuver to the breakdown lane. I immediately called ***. The tire was on the rear passenger side of the car. I relayed my location, type of car and what I wanted...to have my tire replaced. Unless I would agree that my car could be towed, if determined by the service representative that it was necessary, *** would not process the request for service. Also, there were 4 seniors in the car, and if the service representative would determine that I needed a tow, then I would have had to leave 2 people standing in the breakdown lane of Route 95! I had to agree to these terms in order to get service...so I said OK. All of this back and forth took about ***** minutes. During this time, another person in the car filed a request for service on-line. I was told that we were a priority as we were on 95. After waiting AN HOUR, I called AAA for an update. The person who answered put me on hold for a long time. I gave up, and called the ** State Police. They said that they would dispatch a tow truck. It arrived about 15 minutes later. As we were discussing the cost, AAA finally arrived...1 3/4 HOURS after the initial call. ***** from the towing company told us to go with *** so it wouldn't cost us anything, and he didn't charge us for coming to our rescue! It seemed that the person we spoke with for an update got one of the employees of ***'s own towing service to go out to us. Tire was changed in 10 minutes! Thank goodness there were no distracted drivers in the first lane of Route 95, or we could be dead right now! AAA is not worth the membership money I have paid for over 50 years. I am going with the roadside assistance through my insurance company.Review fromDavid P

1 starI recently enrolled my son in the driving school at AAA Northeast, and they had no problem taking over $900 for the complete coarse. My son completed the online course, passed the test and also already obtained his drivers permit. The problem is, it appears to be pretty much impossible to schedule road lessons and I have tried numerous times to get someone on the phone including leaving a message and can't get ahold of anyone. If they are overwhelmed, they should not accept so many applications. Almost $1000 is alot of money to pay for a service if you can't get the complete service. I should have checked their reviews. I guess that was my biggest mistake.Review fromPaula L

1 starIm so disappointed with AAA service. Ive been a customer for **************************************************** ****** and we called 5pm and were told someone was on their way. No one came and AAA never communicated to us the service was canceled. We only left ****** at 11pm after finding a tow. After complaining AAA said they would reimburse the tow but now I have been going back and forth providing the same receipt in different forms including an itemized one and ************************* from customer service is just giving us a hard time about accepting the receipt. This is beside missing a whole concert at ****** due to this which was a present for my parents who have been caring for my grandmother who has Alzheimers full time.Review fromJoe F

1 starMy complaint is about AAA Northeast / Travel. They send email blast which are clearly bait and switch advertising. On May 9, I received an email from AAA Travel advertising cruise to ******* for under $400. The only problem is that a cruise to ******* for under $400 doesn't exist.I followed the link in the email and clicked through to the 5 night cruise to ******* on the Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas, 8/24/24 sailing, but could only find a price that is double or triple. I contacted AAA Travel over the phone, and inquired further, providing screenshots of my online journey and was told those cabins were sold out, but they'd be happy to sell me another sailing for $899. I stated that I didn't want a different cruise. I wanted the cruise they advertised for $399. I asked them why they were still advertising a cruise offer that doesn't exist. They advised that it was a "system error" and they passed it to their technology team. It's not a system error. After multiple calls with customer service staff (who were very responsive and pleasant, btw), the answer is that the offer in the email advert may have existed at some point, but it doesn't exist now. The only option offered was to help me find another cruise, for more money. Sorry, but that's the classic definition of bait and switch. They shouldn't be sending out emails advertising something that doesn't exist.I have since received multiple emails with the same offer, and it still doesn't exist. Total nonsense. I have screen shots of the digital customer journey and more details, if anyone's interested. This experience was really irritating.Review fromCarol B

1 starI never had an issue with AAA until tonight and had it for years. At 9:45 pm I requested a tow to the dealership ************************************************* (about 10 miles from my house), which is covered under my plus plan. I called for an eta after submitting the request online about half an hour later, I was told they would be there to tow my car by 11:32 pm. I called at 11:45 and was put on hold for 15 minutes then told I could leave my keys in the car and leave it unlocked. If anything happened to the car my insurance would not cover it because the key was left in the car, I informed them I did not feel comfortable doing this since they said it probably would not get towed until morning. They said they said they could transfer me to the commercial division where I would have to pay out of pocket but they would reimburse me, the person who answered said they told AAA they were not taking any more tows from them over an hour previously. I called back and was told they were short on drivers and asked if they tried other towns in the area, they tried to connect me to the dispatcher but there was no answer, I was then told that they left a message with the dispatcher to call me back. I never received a callback. After waiting 4 hours in the parking lot I got a ride home and now have to call someone to get a ride there and back, by someone who won't mind waiting if they take longer than they estimate.People get AAA for the piece of mind of not being stranded somewhere and have to make numerous calls to get a tow. That was not the case for me. I won't be renewing my membership with them
