If I could give zero stars I would and I havent even taken the vacation. I bought 2 packages from a Spinnaker rep. I was ensured from both the rep and the manager I spoke to afterwards that my dates and location for travel were available and booked. Lo and behold, I get another call the day after and was told that there were no availabilities for my days and I would have to choose another day. I insisted that a manager call me. That didnt happen so I called them again. I was placed on hold for several minutes and was transferred twice before getting a manager. Again, I was told no availability for my dates. The best they could do was refund my money within 2 business days. I insured my name removed from their database. Just horrible. Do not trust this company.

We went to a Spinnaker resort in ******* a few years ago. We did not buy the timeshare. Since then they have sold our phone number to at least twenty different timeshare companies, maybe more. There is seldom a day go by since then that I haven't received at least two calls. I had to buy a special phone that has the ability to block numbers. It had a capacity of 100 and I had to clear it out a couple of months ago and start again. They make money on selling the list of phone numbers and have no care or responsibility for what it does to people's lives. I have literally had people call and say that I was breaching a contract, which I am not, and that they will charge my card anyway. Such jerks all around. If you think a three night getaway at Spinnaker sounds like a great deal, think again.I would change the phone number, but it's linked to my business.

There needs to be a class action suit against this company. I would like to know what the maintenance fees are used for because all of the properties are old, smells bad and have insect problems.

We purchased a RESALE unit in December 2022. We were promised "BONUS" vacations that unbeknownst to us 'EXPIRED' at most a month or so after we got back from the vacation we were on and sold this albatross. We tried numerous times to just activate (which were told we needed to do)the Bonus Vacations but could not reach anyone. We left several messages. We did talk to two different **************** ********** first one was in January 2023, and she stated that our "contract" had not been loaded into the system yet and may *** be for another month or two. The only other **************** Rep we were able to finally reach a few months later told us (after we had been paying over 5 or 6 months) that the Bonus Vacation certificates had EXPIRED a few months prior to that particular contact. Yet we continued to pay in hopes of at least being able to take other vacations. AGAIN we attempted to contact them without success. We took other vacations but not using our Vacation property. We stopped paying approximately 3 or 4 months ago. We requested a cancelation of the contract due to POOR( Nonexistent really) ****************. We offered to pay the Past due, let them KEEP the Equity and cancel the contract. However, we were told basically that we can never get rid of this albatross and there was nobody that could help us do it, unless we paid the past due plus $3200 and keep the Equity! If we didn't then they would RUIN our Credit and STILL Repossess the property. The unit we were purchasing had ALREADY been a RETURNED/REPOSSESSED unit. Anybody out there contemplating getting involved in this Vacation TRAP with SPINNAKER RESORTS...JUST DON'T!! Obviously they tell every customer something different as I am reading other reviews. If I could have, I would have left a NEGATIVE number of stars!

We have been owners at spinnaker resorts for almost 15 years. There has been less than 1/2 of our experiences with them have been positive. We have had our requests for certain weeks denied over and over again. We have had to vacation without our grandchildren because the only week Spinnaker could provide was during the 1st week of school. We made our reservation for 2024 the 3rd week of August 2023. The 1st ,2nd,and 3rd requested weeks were denied so we chose the 8/11/2024, which we were told was available. I called Spinnaker on 04/25/2024 because I was requesting some information. We we were told we did not have a reservation and that there was no record of our request. My husband called in 2023 requesting the villa that faces the golf Course, and he was told that they would be able to accommodate his request. The manager told my husband that they have no record of his conversation, and that we didnt confirm our reservation back in 2023. We have been so frustrated with spinnaker over the years, rude customer service, extremely unaccommodating, but we have made the best of it. There have been years where we didnt take advantage of the time share because destinations were either unavailable or not up to our standards. We have always been in good financial standing with them, and no one was willing to try accommodate us for 2024. We were told in previous years that if we made our request for the following year before we left at the end of our vacation at the reservation desk that would be plenty of time to book for the following year That worked in 2021, and. 2022, and then for some reason it changed and our requests were not granted. We have been owners who bought the timeshare out right. We owned in the ************** Blue water, and paid more money to get out blue water and back to ************** You can clearly see our pattern of dates, they have all been the 1st few weeks in August, why would we change now. We would love to get our money back.

We were sold under false pretenses. Was told they were not a timeshare company. Our maintenance fees raised over $200 before our first year was even due. Never told us that we could not get out of this deal until it was complete. Said we would get 2weeks a year . Only get 1 week. Have never had the chance to even use it because of all their hidden fees

BEWARE! Lies and lies. I feel like our story is the exact same as everyone else on this board. Thank you to everyone that has shared, because the aggravation of just going on the sales pitch (4/3 vacation for $200 at HHI) pales in comparison to what others have shared as owners (And we almost became owners). When we confronted the sales team about our experiences, they acted like that was horrible and would be addressed. Obviously, by other reviews, that is a scripted/ normal response. From the dilapidated hotel, lack of concern for keeping their word, to the not giving what was promised for attending the supposedly 90 min (in reality 3.5 hour) sales skit. This was the one time a headache really came in handy! On a side note: even if you inform them of food allergies so that you can be accommodated- they do not, and they act like they never knew because the "sales team" doesn't inform them of that. Very disappointing weekend and an even more disappointing company! Oh the lies!!!

Less than a year ago, ********************* did an amazing high pressure sell of a timeshare we purchased (cash) from Spinnaker. At the time of the sale, we were promised two dream week vacations in the addition to the amazing ability to travel to the destinations we only dreamed about. Too good to be true ? Most definitely. Only one dream vacation was taken to Kissemee, ******* which turned out to be a nightmare in a less than suitable condo. Choices on these dream vacations are limited to time of year and location of their choice, not yours. ******** international get-aways are cheap on their website but you have to look for hidden fees also. Some require an all inclusive rate per day in addition to a resort fee adding to the expense of initially what was being charged. We returned this week to our initial ************** at Spinnaker Waterside to talk with a representative about the fraudulent sales pitch from less than a year ago. We were referred to corporate after they realized we were not interested in their upselling pitch. *************** now tells us it will cost $1000 to deed the property back and they did not have a buy-back option.

Sneaky. My friends referred me. They went on and on about a vacation for $150, not once in 10 minutes did they mention they were a timeshare!! I told them I wasn't making a snap decision. After I hung up, I googled them, then blocked their number. With too many weekend rentals out there, I would NEVER buy into a timeshare!

I was lied to, deceived, and led down a path that has become nothing short of a financial nightmare. This is not just a matter of broken promises; its a testament to a systemic, pervasive culture of misleading and pressuring consumers into making decisions that serve the interests of the company, with zero regard for the well-being of their clients. Theyve shown their true colors, and its anything but trustworthy. My advice? Steer clear. There are far better ways to invest your hard-earned money and secure a real legacy for your children. Spinnaker Resorts timeshares are not worth the money or time spent.
