1 starSpinnaker is Horrible! They offered us a 5 day/4 night stay at the Palace View Resort for 1 hundred thirty 9 dollars if we agreed to go to one of their presentations, which we did. First of all, the WiFi was completely worthless. When we were able to connect, which was very rarely, it would only last 2-3 minutes tops then disconnect again. We might have been able to use their WiFi a total of 30 minutes in 5 days. Second, the beds were the most uncomfortable beds I have ever tried to sleep on! Third, they switched out the locks on the door while we were at lunch without telling us so when we returned to the condo we had to go back to the Main building and get new key cards. When I asked why they would do that during our stay I was rudely told that 'there are always people staying here'. Lastly, when we went through the presentation, one of the 'managers' basically called me a liar when I told him that I didn't have the 'required down payment', stating that "people without money don't take vacations". I will never stay at this resort again and will let Everybody I know not to even consider Spinnaker!Review fromDonald L

1 starIts a wast of time trying to contact any one at Spinnaker Resorts. No one there cares about customer service at all. I have been calling every day for over a week to make a reservation and but all I get is a recording that there are more than 10 callers ahead of me. Horiable customer service! Not ever worth the 1 star.Review fromDeborah T

1 starEvery time I try to get in touch with them it's next to impossible. We have had a timeshare with them since **** and every time we go there they try to get more money from us. One of the condos we stayed in stunk so bad I had to rewash every piece of clothing we took with us even though we washed them there before we came home. We feel they are unethical in their practices. We agree with all the other reviews that have been written regarding each salesman doing what they want to do. We feel we were misrepresented last year when we updated our contact and and paid them an Additional $12000. We were under the understanding we would have options for any of hotel chain they purchased for a reduced price but a couple months later were told we would have to pay more for that option. The sales people get extremely mad when you don't take their offers. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.Review fromNatasha M

1 starWe went to *******, ** for a family vacation we spent $600 to have 2 2 bedroom condos at at Palace View Resorts thru a Spinnaker timeshare special. We spent almost $600.00 for 3 nights As we checked in to the Palace View Resort we were supposed to have our 2 condos joining as it was a family vacation and we were going to purchase a time share. First they had us in two separate buildings and with a lot of pleading they moved us to the same building one condo was on the second floor and the other on the 3rd floor. They were very rude and would not do anything else to get us joining rooms. We called the Spinnaker welcome center and the lady there said she could not help us and her manager was off for the weekend she would not give us any phones to contact someone who could help us. As we went to the tour our guide was *** and as we explained what happened and how terrible our stay was he said he would try to get our stay comped then his manager came over and also said she would try to get us comped. That went no where as they tried to keep pressuring us to buy a timeshare I said we would not be buying because of our experience we had over the rudeness of our rooms. *** said he would continue to try to try to get us comped. So the next day we heard nothing from either *** or his manager. I called a few times no call back then I sent a text and said we might still be interested in buying a timeshare and within minutes I got a call back. I said I was still waiting to hear about getting comped *** advised me it would be to my best interest to come in the next day and meet with his manager. I said we were leaving at 6am and could not meet I called a few times and I then left a voicemail said we were still in the area and again within minutes I got a call back again no one could tell me anything about being comped. I spoke to 4 people and no one did anything All they care about is getting you to buy a timeshare. Spinnaker is the worst!! also mold in the hot tub and ac loudReview fromTerry T

1 starThis company changes its "offers" from one person to another. I paid for the initial package only. Another family member who also got the initial package and even attended the presentation at the main resort, was informed of a 90-day money back for this initial package. I called for my refund after hearing of so many limitations and was told only 30 days were allowed to cancel for a refund, (had been 75 days) but "offered" an extension of 3 years. My SIL also wanted a refund, was also denied and given an extension offer of 5 years. Nowhere on the e-mail of forms did it specify 30 days. None of the staff seem to have a standard set of offers for anyone and tweek the rules to their own benefit or what mood they are in.Review fromMatt K

1 starMy family was offered a tour package over the phone. By the time we got off of the phone they said we were all set up and we paid the money asked for. We called back to confirm the next day and they didnt even put our reservation in. They also against what they told us the day before said we would have to do something different because the room was not big enough. They denied telling us this then when asked to provide the recorded call they didnt provide the correct call. When I told them this, they said they didnt have that one. If they will scam you before you even get there, then they will scam you when you do get there. I would not deal with this company.Review fromThomas N

1 starI am writing to file a formal complaint against Spinnaker Resorts, our timeshare provider for several years. Our relationship with Spinnaker has been plagued by numerous issues, including poor customer service and a complete disregard for our requests to cancel our contract.Despite our repeated attempts to communicate with Spinnaker, we have been met with the silent treatment since they informed us that they were taking our case to the board for a decision about the cancellation. Several months have passed since this notification, and we have yet to receive any updates or resolution from Spinnaker. This level of disregard and lack of communication is unacceptable. We have become increasingly frustrated with our experience with Spinnaker. We have experienced delays, false promises, and overall poor communication throughout our dealings with the company. Additionally, Spinnaker has failed to honor our requests to cancel our contract, despite our clear and sincere desire to terminate our membership. We feel that Spinnaker has not only neglected their responsibilities as a timeshare provider, but they have also acted unethically and without integrity in their dealings with our family. We have made multiple attempts to reach out to Spinnaker, yet still remain in the dark regarding the status of our account. We are requesting that Spinnaker honor our desire to cancel our timeshare membership and provide us with clear, transparent communication regarding the status of our account. We deserve to be treated with respect and honesty, and we urge all consumers to be wary of their dealings with Spinnaker Resorts.Review fromJeremy H

1 star*************************** acknowledged my complaint on/around 5/5/23.I thought this was great, I'd finally get some help out of this and she'd do the right thing!Around 5/15/23 we had a phone conversation and she informed me she'd take the notes from our conversation in front of the board on 5/16/23. 6/21 she finally responded- "After a thorough review of your file and the information you provided, the Developer could not find reason to ***** you a release from your contract with Spinnaker Resorts. During the deeding process with the Verification Officer, we ask very specific questions to assure that all expectations are met and to mitigate any confusion. Without the knowledge of your expectation(s) that were discussed with your Sales Representative, we cannot guarantee any of the promises that are/were made. Resale is never guaranteed with any transaction with Spinnaker Resorts and the success or lack thereof is not contingent on your purchase with us as outlined in the acknowledgements portion of your contract. I have attached a transfer form to this email that can be filled out and returned to me either electronically or by mail to the address below. The fee that the transfer company has quoted to transfer that property is $965.00 and the maintenance fees must be paid until the transfer is completed. I cant give you an exact timeline for the transfer to complete, but I can tell you that it will transfer eventually. It just depends on the resort and how quickly you can pay the transfer fee and get over the necessary documents to the transfer company". She told me all they could do is help with "listing" my timeshare but no one wants to buy this c*** I told her I'd willingly sign my rights over to Spinnaker and they can list and still keep the profit but I've not heard back from her. Take this as a fair warning to all. Don't do business with Spinnaker. Sales persons will make you "promises" to get the sale then disappear and not follow through with anything.Review fromBonnie M

1 starOur Spinnaker timeshare is completely paid off, even though we were only able to use it once. After spending ALL of that money, we are trying to GIVE this timeshare back and Spinnaker is wanting us to pay overdue maintenance fees before they'll give us any offer. We have owned this timeshare since **** and only used it once, what maintenance fees should we owe? There was no maintenance to be kept up for something that was never used. We don't feel as if this is right because those "maintenance fees" were more than paid for by the years we paid a mortgage and never used it. We spoke with someone at the timeshare last week who promised to call back but never did. The customer service is awful, along with every other service they offer.
