Someone made a purchase on my card about two or three months ago. I called the bank and they told me that I wouldn't be held responsible for it. Now they are charging me for the charges, $******. They are going back on their word. They said that all the transactions looked all legal to them. I didn't use the card for those purchases. We were mailed a debit card we never requested. Tried emailing the company, no response. Tried calling different phone numbers for the company, only a reoccurring menu. No way to talk to a representative to know if there was any money on the card, for example, if it is a government stimulus program. The letter sent with the card was vague. The card and company are very suspicious. It is considered fraud until we are notified personally by the bank.Business Response

My wife keeps getting a call from a legal department claiming I owe money from 2016 as far as I can find this is a pre paid service and I have only recently been approved for a credit card not meta bank I do not ever recall ever having a credit card before this year let alone **** in charges now going to be **** after penalties and yet no one can even tell me what it was spent on this feels %100 like fraud and I'm pretty sure it's not even legal to call a number ie my wife and speak to her about information on my account again I haven't had there card and this isn't even on my credit report so still not sure if this is a scam callBusiness Response

I bought a prepaid **** gift card yesterday to use today and tomorrow for Black Friday specials for Christmas gifts for my children. When I tried checking the balance and using the card today it said it was invalid. The card I purchased was *** dollars. I tried using the card on ****** and it was rejected. So I went to the gas station to try it there thinking maybe it was something to do with online shopping. The card was declined for * dollars. The back of the cards says it could take up to 24 hours so I waited the the 24 hours and tried checking the balance it said it was invalid. I called the number on the back of the card and they said someone tried charging *** at ******************* yesterday. I bought it at ********* and they were having troubles with the system. I don't know if ********* was hacked or another way the card may have been hacked. The credit card company told me there is nothing I can do for 7 days and that's only if they can get the transaction canceled. *************** I have all my extra money tied up in this card to try to afford Christmas presents for my children. Now I will have to pay double on some things if I even recover my money and possibly not be able to get some of the things they really wanted at all. I want everyone to be warned about this and at a minimum I want my money back but they should really be covering the cost of what everything is going to cost me at current prices when I do actually receive the money back.Business Response

Metabank is refusing access to funds, they're literally holding my refund hostage and refusing my money, they have costumer support that lies to you,they wrongly hold funds just because they can, they definitely need to be looked intoBusiness Response

We received a debit gift card from my wife's employer. The money amount was $**, the money is gone but when you contact their customer service or go on the website to check the balance the amount is $0 with no transactions aside from the $**** cents they took out over 3 years for none use.
