I contacted Star Trucking to transport my car from Alexandria Louisiana it was supposed to be picked up on 11/8 and delivered to California by 11/12. I called several times spoke to the same gentleman about the transport. He sent over the contract with the price of ***** I told him that is perfect I will provide driver my signed contract. I was paying all cash. This afternoon he changed the price to $***** says it is fuel fee by the driver. I told him No he cannot change the price once we agree on the price. He informed me that he had to change it because he couldn’t find a driver for the price he quoted me. I informed him he cannot treat people/customers the way he is treating me. I informed him I was writing to the BBB of his actions. I just want people to be aware that this company does this!Business Response

I went with this company to ship my vehicle from Hawaii to New York. I had a POA since I already moved out of the state, but I was under the impression that the person I spoke with said they would take care of everything. I was told it would be 3**** to ship my non-op vehicle. I paid a **** deposit initially and was told I would pay the rest as my vehicle was shipped. I was told they would do all of the processes for me from my friend's house in Hawaii where my vehicle was stored, to New York where the drop-off was. They kept telling me they could not find a delivery driver to take my vehicle to the port, even though there are hundreds in Hawaii. I had to pay out of pocket for a driver to take my vehicle to the port, just to find out they didn't file any of the port paperwork correctly. They also told me they would take the amounts I paid for delivery drivers off of the total. After the port rejected me I then had to pay again to ship it back to my friend's house, and then another to take it back to the port. I had to communicate with every entity along the way, and never once did US Star Trucking pay for anything or refund me. I sent them my **** deposit and that was it. I was under the impression that they made it sound like I paid them directly then they took care of everything. I paid ******* in towing alone they said they would reimburse me. My vehicle was almost rejected in CA too because bad papers. Then I had to contact the port and drivers all separately to find out where my vehicle even was and I paid them directly out of my own card. The quote US Star Trucking gave me was nowhere near accurate. 3 days after my car arrived at my house I called and asked US Star Trucking when it would arrive and they said in a few days. They also said over text anything over the amount I paid would be refunded. In total I paid ********* when I was quoted ******. I did all of the communication and paperwork filing myself and they did nothing and knew nothing along the way.Business Response

This company said it would be all included, they would pay for everything and I wouldn't do anything. Obviously I had to do everything and they were falsely advertising their services. I signed a contract to transport my 2006 Honda CRV on October 24, 2023, for transporting on October 26, 2023, from Fort Gratiot Michigan to Dallas Texas with US Star trucking for 700$ USD with 100$ USD advance.
I made a payment for 100$ for advance (reservation) on October 24, 2023, as per their policy. I called lot of times to Oscar of US Star trucking on October 25, 2023, to know the status of the transport vehicle and he said everything will be arranged on October 26, 2023, at @ 9:00 am. He said that he will call me on at 09:00 am to give me the driver’s name and phone number.
However, I didn’t receive any call till 9:50 am so I called Oscar of US Star trucking and asked about the update for sending my vehicle. He said he is arranging but it may be today nighttime or tomorrow morning. He is not finding any driver to transport the vehicle. He said he will call me in another hour.
I contacted him after 1 1/2 hours (11:15 am) as I didn’t call back. His boss (forgot the name) picked up Oscar’s phone and told me that I am Oscar’s boss, and he is trying to arrange a vehicle, but he is not getting anyone. (Why they sent me order invoice for October 26, 2023, delivery if they were not getting anyone to pick up my Honda CRV for altogether 700$ with 100$ advance) He got 1 person from Toronto, and I must pay 1**** instead of ****. I told him that they are trying to play with me, and he said no we can arrange the pickup vehicle to transport my vehicle from Toronto and it will take 3 hours and I must pay **** advance for reservation instead of ****. He said that if I want my vehicle to be transported today i.e., on October 26, 2023, they need ***** and not ****.
If I don’t pay right now, then they will not do anything. So, I signed the new paperwork from my email for a 2*** reservation as per new order invoice they sent me, but they were trying to blackmail me as I told them that I need to transport my vehicle today i.e., on October 26, 2023, as per the original order invoice I signed. As soon as I signed the new order invoice for 1000$, with **** advance, they sent truck to pick up my vehicle from Michigan area in 1 hour.
This clearly indicated that Oscar & his boss was lying that they are arranging vehicle from Toronto as Toronto to Michigan is at least 4 hours to 4 1/2 hours’ drive as they must cross Sarnia Border.
Also, they said I can pay the remaining **** *n my credit card through PayPal once the car is reached at Dallas Texas. On October 29, 2023, the car reached Dallas and the driver asked for 9*** cash. I wanted to make a payment of **** on my US dollar credit card which US star trucking used for **** advance as per original order invoice. But the driver was not ready to give him the keys. So, my friend at Dallas went to the bank and gave the driver **** cash.
I was ready to pay **** USD as per the original order invoice but not 10*** USD. Please help me out in resolving this issue. Herewith I am attaching the order invoice for your reference.

They said vehicle is available from Toronto for ***** and it will take at least 4 hours from Toronto to Michigan.
How that vehicle came in 1 hour . We asked the truck driver and he said he was Alton Michigan and he doesn’t go in Toronto area.
this means that they lied that vehicle was not available. They blackmailed me to sign the documents for ***** as I told them that I booked my flights and need my vehicle transferred today as per original invoice.
They forced me to sign the 2nd invoice of ***** and clearly told me that truck is coming from Toronto as they are not getting any vehicle from Michigan. If they were not getting any vehicle from Michigan then how come the truck driver showed up from Michigan in just 1 hour.

I decided to go with this company to ship my car from az to Va for the total of **** ***** *** *** ***** *** **** *or the deposit) today I received a call from Felix foster an employee of this company stating that he has not found a truck, when I scolded him for wasting 3 months doing nothing just to start looking for a truck now he said he’d find a truck. He finds a truck and tries to upcharge me **** for the fee, when I told him I will not pay it he tried bribing me by offering to pay half of it out of his own expense. When I told him I want him to cancel the contract he stated that he will charge me the cancellation fee of **** and then proceeded to find a truck for the price agreed upon and tell the driver to show up when I did not agree to have the driver pick up the vehicle. When I denied it stating I found a different company he demanded I cancel the contract with that company. He along with this business has cost me more then I planned to spend due to their negligence. I signed a contract for $1200. Ended up paying $1300 after a lot of back and forth. They withdrew $100 from my back account and I had to pay dispatcher $1200 after agreeing with broker on $1100 after $100 was withdrawn from my account without consent. On Sept 13, 2023 I got under contract with this company (Order Number - 31227507-US) to ship my vehicle for $1400. I paid the $300 deposit and my vehicle was supposed to be picked up on the 21st of September. I called the representative (Andrew) after not hearing about the specific time my driver was going to be picking up my vehicle. He told me some story about not having a 3 car hauler and now the price was going to be several hundred dollars more. I told him I was not willing to pay any more than the contracted price. Over several conversations with him getting more and more unpleasant he continually tries to get me to pay more or ship my vehicle with an open transport. My contract specifies an enclosed vehicle transport for a total of $1400 which is what I want since I do not want to pay any additional north so I want my vesicles transported any other way than with enclosed transport (just as stated on the contract. My vehicle is already going to be late and they have wasted too much of my time already. I want this job done as agreed on the contract!Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: based off your last comment on BBB which stated that you would give me a call the following day, I waited two additional days and never received a phone call from your company. My hand was forced due to the fact that my car is over three weeks overdue, and the representative had somebody who was willing to do it for $1600 versus my $1400 initial contract and could pick up the next day. What I’m asking for is the $200 difference refunded back to me due to the huge delay and the fact that you guys were not able to meet the contract terms of our original agreement. A contract is a binding agreement between two parties, and I held up my end of the bargain and your company did not. If I do not get a 200 already fund my review of this company will reflect so.

I signed a contract a week in-advance agreeing to pay $720 for a vehicle transport from California to Texas after my father passed away and left me his vehicle. An issue arose and we had to reschedule the pickup from Friday to the following Wednesday which, according to the contract I signed, would result in the contracted charges plus a $75 reschedule fee.
On Tuesday afternoon, I received a text message from the CA scheduling manager to inform me that they found a driver, but they would be charging me $1400 instead of $720. I told the person no, and that he would be honoring the contractually secured rate of $720 plus the $75 reschedule fee, as stated in the contract rules and disclosures. He said he would keep looking, but kept coming back with prices of at least $1400, arguing that "this is how this business works."
I called him and told him that I was unable to pay the new rate, and that I would find alternate means of moving the vehicle, at which point he told me that they would still charge me the $200 cancelation fee. I asked why I should pay a fee that resulted from a bait & switch breach of contract, since by changing the contracted rate, the contract as a whole should be nullified.
He kept up with the argument that "this is how this business works. The driver decides on a fee the day of booking." I asked why the driver wasn't booked at the contracted rate the previous week. I told him i have friends and family In trucking, and in law enforcement, and this isnt trucking... this is how a bait & switch scam works when it is used as a front for funding an illegal operation, and he seemed taken aback by my insinuation.
He told me that they would be charging me a cancelation fee, so I had to freeze my card so that they could not charge it, and I promptly made alternate arrangements with a different account, which were carried out within 1 day.
I want to make sure that they cannot send me to collections for it, as they were in breach-of-contract.Business Response

We acknowledge that we failed this time by .This was likely caused by rescheduling the shipment for another date .Wa had a driver for agreed price then client changed load date and we had to find another carrier for higher price than agreed amount . I reached out to them to ship 3 vehls. They said the driver would arrive in a scheduled date, on this date a dispatcher called me saying their truck broke down and they could come in 3 days. Asked the broker to find me another driver, he did. My broker is Tim. So 3 guys showed up and said I had to pay an additional $750 on top of the agreed delivery price of $3300 from CA to FL. The broker would not listen to me and told me they aren’t asking for an extra money and for me to allow them to take the cars. Absolutely not! So he found me another “driver” this driver showed up 2 days later in which I had to tell them where my house key was so they could pick up the vehls. I asked for photos and no one not even the broker has them. No one is responding to my text messages nor phone calls. I asked the broker for them and he told me to send my sister or someone to my house to see if the vehls are picked up! On top of it all the 3rd driver asked me who’s paying them. I advised I am upon deliver and he gave me a total price that is $1000 less than what the broker told me. He also said this broker is a scam and that they operate different than anyone he’s ever worked with as they didn’t want to provide him with any information such as my phone number to coordinate the delivery. I would not recommend this company to anyone at all if you want a seemless process. They are amatures at best and cannot guarantee anything nor know what’s going on.Business Response

I placed an order on August 21, 2023 to have my vehicle transported. I signed a contract on August 21, 2023 for my vehicle to be transported for $300 total. I called and emailed this company on August 23, 2023 and August 25, 2023 to obtain the details of my car being shipped. On August 26, 2023, I spoke with this company and was informed I had to sign a updated contract. After receiving a text from a person saying a deposit is due $200, with a total of $700 for shipping costs. US Star Trucking LLC provided inaccurate information and horrible customer service. I do not recommend this company because of their lack of integrity and poor customer service. I was disappointed on how I was treated unfairly. I have asked the company to cancel this contract. The manager Tom has not provided me with resolution at this time. Are there any honest and reliable transport companies??? How does the price increases from $300 to $700.
