1 starLadies, avoid this place like the plague!!!
Perry, a mechanic there, hit on me the entire time I was there. He left at one point to attend to personal errands while I was waiting there.
Then I found out my gas cap was all but glued on, I could not remove it. Brought it to another mechanic to get it unstuck and he couldn't even identify what was used to seal it. And THEN, they found multiple clamps disconnected and the gas tank tampered with. To ensure repeat business.
I paid $800 for this. I'd originally gone in to see why my check engine light was on. When I left it was off. But as soon as my gas cap was pried off the light came back on.
Absolutely incomprehensible.
When I went in to make a complaint, the older gentleman was very nice and knew who I was talking about before I even said his name.
Ladies: STAY AWAY!Review fromChristopher D

1 starDo not TRUST or EXPECT any level of PROFESSIONALISM from Firestone Complete Auto Care located at 5130 N Wickham Rd, Melbourne FL. I took my vehicle to this Firestone on 1/29/2025 for a diagnostic scan and repair. My car was shaking and rattling from an under carriage problem. After the diagnostic was performed, the Service Specialist Omar spent 10 minutes berating the person who had performed a previous repair for not knowing whatt he was doing. Omar ASSURED me that this service department could absolutely make the necessary repairs on my vehicle. He stated that I would also need new spark plugs and a repair to a plastic component under the car. The next day I received a call from the Service Specialist, Omar M******. He told me my vehicle was ready for pick up and that it was running smoothly. I paid the $2,887.63 and headed home. Within 5 miles of leaving the Firestone, the rattling and shaking resumed and was worst than ever. I was told that I could return the vehicle on 2/5/25. After 3 days of with no communication from the service department I reached out to Omar M******. At that time I was told that the car could not be fixed and that it must have an engine problem. This Firestone mis-diagnosed my vehicle issues. When I picked my vehicle up I asked to speak to the Store Manager, Justin L****** about compensation for the exorbitant charges for the mis-diagnosed failed repair. Justin offered me $600 of the $2887.63 I spent based on the wrong diagnosed. He stated that parts had been ordered and therefore could not be refunded. I believe this Firestone basically stole $2887.63 from me and gave my nothing in return. Now they want me to spend more money on another BAD diagnosis. This experience has left me emotionally and financially stressed; with no way to get to and from work. I am reaching out to Firestone Complete Auto Care for an equitable resolution to this injustice. Must I seek legal action in order to be reimbursed for $2887.63? Please advice.Review fromShannon S

1 starI took my 2012 ***** Civic to get a tire replaced (donut on, tire in the back). The tech who inspected the tires inflated them to their proper level but used something other than their fingers to tighten the metal caps. I used vise grips on one of the tires and the valve stem spun, came off, and deflated the tire! I called the store at 5:59pm and got “Let us know if we can make this right!” followed by “We close in one minute. We can help you tomorrow.” I get being closed but you can't offer another location that's clearly open until 7pm to help with what was your mistake? Now I'm at another tire place and hear it could be a sensor and cost $100 and may not be in stock. I won’t be going back to Firestone as long as I live.Review fromNatalie A

1 starHello, I went to Tires Plus in Perry, GA, for a tire alignment and two new tires. After leaving, I noticed my tires weren’t balanced, and my steering wheel was shaking uncontrollably. I called the location and returned the next day, only to be told that a new mechanic had failed to properly balance the wheels and complete the alignment. On top of that, they never performed the tire rotation. I paid over $400. Also they never gave me an option of tires to choose from according to pricing. When I contacted customer service, the experience was just as frustrating. I will never have my vehicle serviced there again.Review fromChristopher and Debora R

1 starOur experience with Firestone in Kaneohe, has not been a positive one. We have repeated visits with large sums of money spent on replacing parts only to have more issues. For example, we had a starter replaced on a vehicle in November 2024 for $1,067.20. The vehicle did not start and needed the starter replaced again in February 2025. Upon replacing, we were told the battery had to be replaced. The battery was replaced for a total charge of $297.37. The battery was not more than two years old. My concern is that they keep taking advantage of a situation with continuous high charges.
This review is mainly for awareness as we have never had what appears to be a professional organization taking advantage of a situation. I would not recommend this store at

1 starSubject: Complaint Against Wheel Works, Vallejo, CA – Misleading Pricing & Unethical Practices
Dear Better Business Bureau:
I am writing to formally file a complaint against Wheel Works, located in Vallejo, CA, regarding misleading pricing, unethical business practices, and what I perceive as price gouging, particularly targeting female customers.
On February 7, 2025, I requested a tune-up for my 2001 Acura CL at Wheel Works. I was assisted by the Assistant Manager, Devin, who provided a quote of $350 for the service. I was informed that my vehicle would be ready for pick-up on February 7, 2025, at 4:00 PM.
However, upon reviewing the service details, I was shocked to discover that only the spark plugs had been replaced—far from what constitutes a full tune-up. Furthermore, my vehicle was not even ready at the promised time. Disgruntled with the service, I left the car there until I would have an opportunity to address the Assistant Manager Devin the following morning. When I contacted the store, Devin was rude, talked in circles and hung up the phone. This level of service is unacceptable, and I believe it is a clear attempt to take advantage of customers, particularly women, who may not be as familiar with the specifics of automotive maintenance.
I find this practice to be deceptive and unethical, and I strongly urge the BBB to investigate Wheel Works for misleading pricing and unfair treatment of customers. Additionally, I request that Wheel Works be held accountable for their actions and provide proper transparency in their service quotes.
I would appreciate a formal response from both Wheel Works and the BBB regarding this complaint. Please let me know what steps can be taken to ensure that businesses like this do not continue to exploit customers.Review fromRobin L

5 starsThe Firestone Complete Auto Repair, on Eisenhower, in Macon, Georgia. This business went way beyond helping me. I was on my way to get treatment for cancer and my truck broke down. I was going to get 3 months worth of treatment. They fixed my truck and held it for 3 months so I could not worry about my truck while getting treatment. I paid for the repairs and they are still holding my truck. I get my last surgery next week. Then a few days later I will pick up my truck.Review fromIvy S

1 starWent in for a routine oil change. I usually got to **** ******* but they forgot to process my scheduled day for an oil change so I went to Tires Plus. Boy I regret that so much. I dropped my car off for an oil change Oct. 19th and got it back, turned the car on, the engine was louder than usual and I thought nothing of it because when I take my car in for an oil change I expect them to do it right. Ten days later my engine starts overheating. I open the hood after calling my friend who knows a little about cars. Both caps to my coolant and my power steering fluids were off, and my oil dip stick handle was broken off… I called Tires plus and they had told me to put coolant in and power steering fluid and that would fix the overheating issue, so I did that, made sure it was the exact type of fluids my car could handle and went about my schedule driving to work, dropping kids off to school and school pick up for a month or so and it happened again. I did not have any issues before taking it to this place. So I called them back and they swear they checked all the fluids and topped off just the wiper fluid and changed the oil. Didn’t do a routine inspection, which normally **** ******* does without asking them to. I guess Tires Plus doesn’t do that, what am I paying them for then? Any way, so I’m on the phone and they tell me to keep checking the fluid levels, so I top off the coolant and just watch it drain out very slowly and I’m keep an eye on it now knowing it’s leaking and I let the shop know it’s leaking out somewhere, now it two months later. I’ve been driving it, and go pick my kids up and head home and my car starts over heating again and then just gives out, steering wheel locks and my car just stops driving. I could still turn it on but wasn’t able to drive it anywhere. So I had it towed to a ***** dealer who told me my engine was shot due to a leaking water pump and oil leak and coolant leak that all got into my engine. Tires Plus will not accept liability..Review fromJohn S.

1 starFirestone MISDIAGNOSED Rack and Pinion being defective.
2222 Clearview Pkwy Metairie, LA 70001-2437
10/23/24. Tires rotated and balanced. : Note: Alignment was not preformed because of “excessive play” in Rack and Pinion according to Firestone . Estimate to replace Rack and Pinion $955.05
28 Oct 2024 At the Firestone store with truck on lift and viewing the Rack and Pinion, with Chase , a Firestone mechanic and he said:
“ movement on the (passenger side ) inner tie rod” , and can see visible fluid and a little darkness on boot indicating power steering fluid is leaking into boot , which means you have a bad seal in your rack and you cannot do just the seals. That is why the right side (passenger side ) has movement and this side ( drivers’ side ) does not. It is nice and tight and clean. Leak is causing right side tie rod to go bad .
10 Dec 24. Rack and Pinion replaced at “ Auto Care Service of Metairie” At a cost of $836.33.. The mechanic told me that there was nothing wrong with the Rack and Pinion.
12 Dec 24 Rack and Pinion inspected at home . As I removed the right side boot, I anticipated a plethora of fluid to emerge . There was no fluid leaking from the boot. The inner tie rod was in pristine condition. Still had grease and no movement.. It was evident that Firestone had MISDIAGNOSED the Rack and Pinion being defective. Did not require replacement
13 Dec 24 I talked to the Shop Manager “Mike” that he misdiagnosed, i,e., “Rack and Pinion needed to be replaced because the inner tie rod was bad caused by leaking seals.”
. Repair was not required.
I informed Mike that I was not mad or upset . All I wanted was an apology .
He refused to apologize .He said he did not misdiagnose. I asked Mike to explain to me how he did not misdiagnose and he said “ this discussion is over with.” He turn his back on me and walked away .
He was rude and unprofessional. I will bring my business elsewhere.
