2 days ago I was attempting to try subscribing to daily wire for a month. I clicked on the link that had a monthly price, filed out my card information and attempted to subscribe. However after I clicked subscribe I saw that I had been charged 149 dollars! At no point was it made clear that I would be paying 149$ for an entire year while I was simply just wanting to try out the website for a month and go from there. Very upset and dissapointed with my experience and am starting to feel scammed because of the lack of customer support to help fix this issue. All I want is to simply be refunded for my purchase and have my subscription cancelled, but it seems that there is no one in the company to help fix this. Very unprofessional.Business Response

I hit the button on the Daily Wires page to signup for a $15 monthly plan, just to try it out. Just to go to my bank account and see that I have a charge for $157, which I found out was for a year subscription! I then went to their page for support only to find out they only have a chat bot, no humans working to alleviate this issue. This is unacceptable. It is also unacceptable not to offer a refund for something you didnt intend to purchase. There was no total on the page when I hit submit. I support the messaging on this platform, but if they are who they truly profess to be, theyll refund my money and change my account to $15 monthly. Either one of two things happened in this case, there website is messed up, or I mistakenly hit the wrong button. In any case they should have the capability to rectify such issues, but they dont. Almost all streaming platforms will do this for you. They want their customers happy and continuing their services. Judging by these complaints this is an ongoing issue with this company. This charge is going to put me in a really bad spot financially and its not a good look for the Daily Wire.Business Response

I signed up for a $7 per month subscription using a promotional code an hour ago. I gave my credit card information and then saw that I had been signed up for $149 annual service. I did not mean to sign up for an annual subscription and the discount was not applied. I tried to cancel and received a bot message telling me I cannot cancel the subscription until a year from now. I havent even used the service, and the amount charged is wrong because the promotion was not applied.Business Response

This member was able to apply the proper code at check out and got the advertised promotion of $7/month that is available when billed annually and specified on the sign up page (screen shot attached). While there was no support request from this member to indicate a problem with this transaction, we have reached out directly to try and assist. The member had to go through a series of steps before committing to this transaction. Furthermore at the initial sign up the member must select a checkbox saying they agreed to the terms. Members simply can not sign up without taking this step. We have helped to the best of our ability and would encourage this member to reach out directly to us so we can help further if needed. On 11/6/2024 after the election I saw an advertisement for the Daily Wire streaming at 47% off. I clicked the $11 a month and was prompted to put in my card info and when I hit next was charged $249 instead of my original plan of trying it out for a month.. cant get ahold of anyone and havent heard back. Id either like my $249 back or at least the promotion they were offering at $11 a month.. I didnt even get the advertised discount and was charged at full price.Business Response

11/3/2024 Subscription offered at a deep discount.There is no field to enter the discount code. I ended up paying twice as much as I had intended. Having not seen a blank for the discount code, I entered the information and thought that I would able to enter the code on the next page. No option existed. Looking back...there were fields to fill out...none for a discount code. Later, in the extremely small body text, at the bottom, I notice (in small type) a field in which to reveal the code field. They should have had the blank revealed to begin with. I am deeply disappointed. I am on Social Security. Oh, I tried to get help, but the only help is a bot. I paid for a monthly subscription but I was charged for both the monthly and annual fee. My account only shows a monthly subscription, which I have canceled. The charges are still pending but I have an invoice for the annual charge from daily wire. I should have only been charged the ***** for the one subscription. Im going to be completely %1000 honest. I was scrolling through ******** on this cloudy Halloween morning and came across the 4th **** Riff reel advertisement for Daily Wire. So intriguing it has been, I could not resist any longer, so on to the watch more button I proceed. The largest ****** I have learned in this journey is to NOT, use your cellular device while operating a motor vehicle. Seeing has I am 30 year old women this is something I should have known already BUT, neither here nor there. Anyways I clicked and clicked until it said let me get them debit card digits. As you wish. In the digit went ALONG with the terms and agreements check box. Had I read those or any of the advertisements I would have known it was annual. But as you can see Im currently in the file complaint section, explain just one of the many s***** life choices Ive made??. This being the newest. I understand it cant be refunded, although I would love if anyone reading this could PLEASEEEEE at least help me change the plan type, like I want to be like, Im a %50 intrest rate if it makes my monthly payment look less scary kinda girl. I previously reached out last month to refund & cancel my DailyWire+ subscription. The pending charge was canceled, but my account was never canceled. One month later, and a surprise to me, I was billed again - without any email notification OR invoice! We are sorry that this member is frustrated about the cancellation process. All our memberships are considered a final sale after purchase and renewal. This member agreed to be automatically renewed at the initial sign-up by selecting a checkbox saying they agreed to the terms. Most streaming services follow this same process. This member did not reach out until after the account renewal and there was no indication in our system that a cancelation took place. Because of this, the member is not eligible for a refund as all cancellations must be made prior to the renewal. This member's account is now set to cancel and will expire at the end of the term during which time they will have full access to their membership. They will not have any future charges. I was subscribing to watch the movie "Am I Racist" and i went to sign up for the $14.99 a month for a monthly subscription. Without realizing it, it charged me $149.00 instead. Because that apparently what the default is, even if you picked the $14.99 from what I've come to learn. This is extremely deceitful and misleading and I wan't a refund. I'm honestly shocked the DailyWire would do this to their supports. I started talking to the chatbot and have been waiting 10 minutes with no response. I have images for proof.Business Response
