On 12/03/2024 I parked my car at a Metropolis Vision Lot at ********************************. There were no parking rates posted at this location and the app didnt show the actual cost of $50 plus fees until after I submitted my credit card information. I called Metropolis phone support number immediately but the person I spoke with did NOT tell me about the 10-minute ***** period otherwise I would have left the lot and parked somewhere else. The fact that they do not disclose their rates and service fees is misleading and deceptive. I filed a complaint with Metropolis but they have not addressed my concerns. Please let me know if there is anything the BBB can do to help me resolve this situation.Business Response

On 12/6/24 Friday, we parked at the *********, ****** location parking garage. We saw that the sign in front of the parking garage said 50$ overnight for weekdays and 15 dollars a day for the weekend. After parking in the garage, I went into their office to ask the attendant how much it would be to park until Sunday 12/8, he told me 80$. On 12/8 Sunday, we leave the garage and notice that we were charged 157.50$.. almost double the price. As soon as I got home, I called the customer service line and had talked to someone who said they would escalate the situation and would hear back in 2-3 business days. It has been 5 business days and I havent heard back from anybody. I would definitely not recommend using any of the metropolis parking garages. They do not advertise what they are offering and do not take you seriously when reaching out for support.Business Response

On December 13, 2024 on ********** in *************, I parked in one of Metropolis SP+ parking garage at 7:50 pm. All posted signage, information on the web, states that the parking garage would be open until 3 a.m. I came back around 1 a.m. to the garage door closed. Before escalating, I tried every single option to gain access into the garage, but couldn't. I found a sign right outside the garage door which had the posted times, ** code for after hours "special" service, and the number to call their afterhours support line. First, I tried the ** code which was simply a scam of 25$ plus their service charge. Then, I proceed to call the phone number which took me 3 times for someone to pick up. The person on the phone literally told me "I don't know why the garage door isn't opening and I can't open it remotely". Unfortunately, I was not the only one with this problem as there were about 7 other people outside the garage that needed to get to their car. One of my friends decided to give it a try and call them again. We explained to them that one of our friends had their belongings in the car and some of them were crucial to them. Again, the person on the phone refused to assists us and told us to "go to ******" and that all the workers had gone home for the evening. Another person called the cops, but they couldn't do anything for us as they're a private business. The garage wouldn't open until 8 am the next morning. I called their support line and I was refused a FULL refund because my car was there for over 13 hours and charged me the full price. I kept explaining that I couldn't get to my car, but insisted since my car was there, I had to pay full price. I got a whole lot of cooperate speak and the run around. No manager or supervisor were available and their escalation team is only available through email... in 2024... I would like two things to happen: a full refund and modifications to all available information about their parking times.Business Response

I parked for less than 1 hour in the ****************** on ******* in *********. I was charged for, and have an invoice for, 11 hours. At $53, I was charged around $1/minute. I will be disputing with my bank. This issue is rampant with metropolis, victims cannot contact them, and we have no recourse. The Attorney General needs to get involved right away.Business Response

The date of the transaction was 12/12/24. My daughter and I attended the ****** ********** concert. We parked in one of the metropolis parking lot near the arena. I was charged $52.50 for 12 hours of parking. We arrived at 6:50pm & left at 12am. As we were leaving the concert my daughter almost went into a seizure. We had to leave immediately. I am disputing being charged $52.50 for 12 hours when we were not parked there that long. We should only be charged for the hours that we were parked there. I did reach out to Metropolis Parking and they refused a refund for the hours we werent parked in their lot. I asked to speak to a supervisor. I was put on hold and of course one wasnt available.Business Response

On Friday at approximately 9:12PM 12/6 I pulled into the Metropolis Parking facility on **************************************************************** I prepaid for 24 hours thinking that this site was affiliated with the nearby ***********. When I checked into the hotel they informed me that the site was not affiliated with the hotel and that they would not recommend I park there for safety reasons. I immediately moved my car and contacted Metropolis for a pro-rated refund. My car was parked for less than 30 minutes.I've reached out to Metropolis multiple times asking for the refund and am either met with chatbot responses or canned responses that say they cannot issue a refund. I believe I am owed a pro-rated refund as I was clearly not in the facility for 24 hours and I notified them immediately. This facility is deemed unsafe by locals.Business Response

December 10, 2024 I paid $10.00 for parking using a QR code posted by metropolis at location ************************************. My parking was from 5:01 pm 12/10/24- 5:01am 12/11/24. My car was towed on 12/11/24 at 2:34am. I reached out to metropolis and they have an ongoing investigation that may take between 3-5 days. However, this is causing issues with my capability to get to work and the responsibilities that I hold with my family. I have a receipt for the parking and have sent it to metropolis. I do not feel like I should have to pay the tow fee and I am not in a well enough financial position to pay the tow fee for the release of my vehicle.Business Response

12/9/2024 My Credit card was charged $34.88 for 1 hr. of parking. This ridiculous rate was not posted any where in or around the empty parking structure. Attempted to contact Metropolis parking and after several attempts to get through their convoluted IVR I waited on hold over an hour waiting to talk to someone and was disconnected. Multiple complaints have been filled with the TN attorney general regarding issues with this company. If this does not get resolved we will be adding to that number.Business Response

I am writing to file a formal complaint against Metropolis Parking Services regarding an issue with a parking reservation made on November 3, 2024. I purchased a parking service for the following day, November 4, 2024, at a location in *******, *********I entered and exited the property in full compliance with the terms of my paid reservation. However, 34 days later, I received a notice demanding payment of over $30 for an alleged "non-payment" violation.This claim is entirely erroneous, as I have attached all relevant receipts and order numbers that confirm my reservation and payment. Despite my efforts to clarify this matter directly with Metropolis Parking Services, the issue remains unresolved.I find this to be an unacceptable and concerning business practice that reflects poorly on the company's credibility and integrity. Such actions create undue stress and inconvenience for consumers and should be thoroughly investigated to prevent recurrence.I respectfully request the BBB to review this complaint and take appropriate action to address this matter with Metropolis Parking Services. I have a monthly parking subscription for the Purple Lot with Metropolis at **************** in *********, **. I pay $163 per month and my last renewal for December was confirmed on December 1st. This is verified through my license plate of ********** December 3rd, I entered the Purple Lot by passing the Central Garage which is required to get to the purple lot. At that time, technicians appeared to be working on the camera so my assumption is that the camera did not pick my vehicle entering the Purple Lot. As a result, Metropolis charged me $40.99 as if I had parked my car in the Central Garage all day, which I did not.I have tried to call and email to explain this fraudulent charge and ask them to reverse it. The only response has been an email from an agent named ***** N who did not even look into to the matter that I was explaining and lazily said the charge was valid because I entered the Central Garage.Customer Answer
