While I was in *************, this company took money from my card claiming it was a parked car within my profile. Someone tried to add the card in September and since there was no charge and went through. Then earlier this week when they use the account, I was charged. I spoke to the company and they said because the card was adding September even though there was no charge, they were not going to give me my money back. Clearly The Violator knew what they were doing and tested the system in September. Now I'm being screwed months later. I would like my money backBusiness Response

I received a parking "violation" from Metropolis dated from 7/6 when my son was in *********, ** as an intern at ***************** in July. He and a couple other interns went to dinner at the ****************** and parked in a parking garage at 8:40 pm and left at 9:59 pm on Saturday, 7/6. There was not a machine working that provided a ticket "stub" nor an attendant onsite to give a parking stub or collect payment when entering or exiting the parking garage. The "violation" has a fee of $75.25 and states I can have "criminal penalties" if I don't pay this fee via a QR Code! There is not a phone # nor any way to reach a person at Metropolis, and I called the Nashville traffic violations ***** & the ************** all of whom said this Metropolis is known for and has caused hundreds of scam reports. The letter also states they will contact a collection agency is I do not pay this amount. I will NOT pay anything via a QR code, and I am disputing the entire "violation" due to the fact that there were no working parking attendants or machine providing legitimate parking stubs. You can't just leave a parking garage without paying, as you cannot enter without a selecting a stub and having the gate rise to allow entry or exit. I have NOT paid this and I am reporting this incident to be investigated by the BBB. It states the original parking "fee" was $20, and I MAY agree to pay this amount, but no more as their parking garage attendant was not onsite, nor was the gate down preventing exit unless payment was made. I will NOT pay $75.25 that they are demanding. Thank you for your time.Business Response

To whoever it may concern,Hello, my name is ******************* and I recently visited the ********* with my family. We found near parking and parked there. There was a QR code to scan to paying your parking with the company called Metropolis. First of all, this website is super complicated despite it being easy to use. I tried to park my two cars and I guess my payment didnt work because this company only charged me for one car. Then when I am enjoying dinner with my family, to go to check on the car on their app and it says I have two parking tickets. This stupid website/ company didnt even notify that I had tickets and I thought I paid for both cars but I guess not with the very confusing app. I had proof that I paid for one car in my bank but not the other. company doesnt even have customer service or anything. I shouldnt be paying parking tickets when this app didnt even do its job correctly. Please take this down. Do not let this company scam more people please. Thank you. If you have questions or concerns please call **********Business Response

My daughter and nephew went to a concert at the **********. When she purchased tickets she also purchased parking for $20.00. I have attached the receipt. They both said when they got there, you just pulled into a parking space. There was no gate, no attendee, no signs posted. Same thing when they left the concert. Then today in the mail in my nephews name since he drove, we get a violation ticket for unpaid parking if $21.85 and ticket fine if $70.25. The payment is attached. Which I paid because I dont want anything negative showing up for my nephew. I emailed Payments Metroplis and asked that the $92.10 be refunded since my daughter sent me proof that she had bought parking when she got her concert tickets. This was the response which is unacceptable to me:Your request (*******) has been updated. To add additional comments, reply to this email.**************** (Metropolis Payments)Aug 5, 2024, 2:01PM PDT Hi, Thank you for contacting metropolis. I know this may be frustrating for you as you did not intend to receive this unpaid parking fare notice. I'm here to help you in all possible ways I can. Upon review, it looks like your parking should have been free. However, to qualify for free parking at Metropolis facilities, you need to meet specific conditions, such as obtaining the necessary validations by scanning the ** code provided by the operator. It appears you either did not get these validations or were not informed about them. Since it seems you did not follow the required procedures to qualify for free parking, I regret to inform you that we cannot approve your refund request. For your future visits, please be aware that Metropolis does not offer free parking unless you have a validation for your visit or a subscription to the specific garage. Thank you for your understanding.Support | Metropolis PaymentsBusiness Response

On Wednesday, July 31st, I parked at a Metropolis parking lot near *****************. I arrived around 6:10. The options were to park for 1, 3 or 12 hours. The signage indicated that I would have the opportunity to extend parking. I knew we would be there for 3-4 hours and was not interested in paying the fees to park for 12 hours, so I chose 3 hours and figured I would extend if we were still attending the concert. At 8:56, I received a text that my parking was expiring. However, the link did not work to extend the parking, despite trying multiple times, and then at 9:12, I received a parking receipt indicating that my parking was expired. The charges for 3 hours of parking was $53.93. I had to exit the arena, walk to the parking lot, and start the parking process all over again. I was not given a 1 hour parking option, which was all I needed at that point. I ended up paying another $53.93 despite being in the lot for only another 45 minutes or so. I explained to Metropolis customer service that I was unable to extend and unable to select one more hour of parking and they said there's nothing they can do. I want the $53 I paid the 2nd time to be reimbursed since it should never have been charged. I should have been able to extend parking and wasn't able to.Business Response

Excessive penalty for parking violation. $70.25 violation charge on a $8.74 parking fee. Fines not posted at locations in readable form. Company name not posted so those lots can be avoided.Business Response

On Friday July 26, 2024 i pulled into a parking lot managed by Metropolis. I paid to park for two hours. As i walked off the parking lot onto the next street i noticed parking was $4 for two hours so i walked back immediately and moved my car. Metropolis app doesn't offer a cancel option so i took a picture of my receipt from the new parking spot and filed a help ticket requesting a refund and showing them i purchased another spot at the same time. They replied back refusing to refund me or even offering to charge me in 1 hour increments like they offer during initial purchase. They are a video monitored lot so they know exactly when i left and they also have my proof of leaving and parking at another spot immediately after. I feel i deserve some type of refund because i never used their service.Business Response

On Thursday, August 1st, I entered a parking structure with a sign that said Just drive in and no information about parking prices. I parked and went about my business. I was in the parking structure 16 mins. When I tried to exit the parking structure, there was a sign that told me to scan a QR code. This led me to a pay page, and this was the FIRST time I received any information about prices. For 15 mins, I had to pay $3.99. There was no other information about prices listed anywhere in the parking structure. When I requested a refund from the customer service agent, she stated that I should have checked prices in my account or the app. This is very deceitful and prices should have been listed prior to entering the parking structure.Business Response

On June 30, 2024, 1:53 p.m. I went to a parking lot on *************************. I have visited the parking lot on many occasions. On this particular day there was something different, a parking attendant and a sign with a ** code. The original pay machine was still there. I asked the parking attendant can I still pay at the machine, and he stated you can pay either way, the ** code or the machine. So, I paid using the machine which was $16.50. I got a receipt for 3 hours. When I returned at 3:23 p.m. (within the 3 hours), there was a parking ticket for $70 on my car. I reached out to the company and was told I was supposed to use the ** code, and they didn't receive the payment. I have a receipt of payment; it was withdrawn from my banking account under the original company. I had no knowledge that it wasn't the same company especially when the attendant told me I can use the parking machine. I emailed them the receipt, bank records and explained what the attendant said. Instead of paying the $70 they said I can pay $25 to resolve it. But I don't think I should have to pay twice. The pay machine should not be on if it is not to be used. And the parking attendant should not be telling people they can pay either way.Business Response
